Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in tempers. Beta and Omega are finally in direct conflict, click here to keep up on it. If your character is part of either side, the expedition & pursuit thread has all the details. And don't forget, our Player Appreciation and the short stories lore contest both end at the end of August!

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

Elliot sighed as he walked cautiously down the rocky path, his two bird pokemon seated happily on both of his shoulders. He ignored their small chirps and chatter for the most part, although he did glance up when the voices seemed to be for him. When they were, it was typically Oswald trying to point out a stray leaf in the air. It was a strange action, but the young bird seemed extremely excited for the changing season. The man was amused by the starly's upbeat behavior, as it was a nice change from Bernadette's quiet and judging demeanor as well as Eurydice's... Rather chaotic nature.

Speaking of the misdreavus, the man's attention shifted briefly to the pokeball inside his satchel. He had left the camp to let Eurydice out and let off some steam, maybe even train a bit. Why he wanted to be so far away from the camp? Well, the ghost liked to cause damage to say the least. And while Elliot was reluctant to say it, he knew for a fact that he couldn't trust his teammate near his co-workers... She'd just yank on their hair and scream in their ears until they go deaf.

But rather than letting the ghost out for some training, it was a nice way to let both Bernadette and Oswald fly around to stretch their wings... It had actually been a while since they've last done this. Hopefully it'll be a nice relaxing break... Or at least as relaxing as it can be.

The group finally reached a large flat cliffside, a place that Elliot deemed as a nice place to rest. He sat down quietly, crossing his legs and leaning back, using his hands to hold himself up. He watched as his birds hopped off his shoulders, the eldest of the two suddenly taking to the skies. The young starly just simply watched the chatot, pecking at a nearby pebble as he did. Elliot chuckled for a moment before raising his eyebrows and turning back to the satchel. at his side.

The man nodded to himself as he pulled out Eurydice's pokeball, stopping first to examine the pattern he had sketched into it. It was a thing he did to all of the team's pokeballs, since it made telling them apart a whole lot easier. After carefully drawing his finger over the little bumps and sketches in the pokeball, he lifted his head and allowed his misdreavus to appear in front of him.

Elliot hastily paced around his tent, a large grin plastered on his face. He ran a hand through his long hair and out of his wide eyes. This couldn't be real, right? It was too good to be real... Well, it had been a few days, and it still existed... A portal to the old world! He still couldn't believe it. Although the portal had been established for a good week or two, Elliot still couldn't help but feel extremely giddy about it. So giddy, the thought of sleep never crossed his mind.

A little chuckle escaped him as he looked over to Bernadette, who was quietly resting on his bed. The man smiled even more and crouched over to the multi-colored parrot. "I can't believe this, Bernadette... Can you!? I mean, all that hard work finally paid off!" He quietly cheered, lightly clapping his hands together.

The chatot opened an eye and looked up to her human in a questioning manner. She closed an eye, and nodded. "Yes, yes." She murmured, her voice subtly resembling that of her trainer. Elliot beamed, and lied down on his bed close to his partner. "It's still so amazing! I mean, think of all of the amazing technology and advancements we'll achieve! It's only a matter of time!" He laughed. He suddenly sat up, placing his chin on his hand.

"Hm, I do wonder what the old world is like... Do you think those immigrants would remember aspects of their life if they encounter certain areas? It'd be an interesting case, definitely... Do you think there might be different kinds of pokemon, ones that aren't found in Terrene? I mean, it could be a possiblity..."

The man's rambling would continue, but the chatot would pay no mind to it. She simply answered with a few mindless chirps. The bird let out a sigh along with a light laugh as her trainer suddenly burst to his feet. She could hear the rearranging of items and a thrilled laugh from him.

"It's kind of messing with the compasses, though, so I've noticed... Do you think it would mess up more in certain areas around the mountains? Hm... Or would it fix itself the further we went from camp... Bernadette, get up! We're going out!"

The chatot let out a sigh, but nodded. She couldn't leave him alone. There had to be someone to keep him in check, and Eurydice and Oswald were not the best beings to trust for that job. With a mockingly loud yawn, Bernadette ruffled her feathers and began to fly in the air. Elliot smiled to his partner before looking down at the compass in his hands. She let out yet another sigh before setting herself on the man's shoulder, her talons holding onto his poncho.

"Hey, don't rip that." Elliot commented with a brief squint before making his way out of his tent. The night sky was a common sight for him at this point, but he still was in awe at how pretty the stars were. He relaxed for a moment, taking a deep breath and making pictures with the stars. Bernadette lifted her head to stare at the man's freckled face. "Going?" She chirped, making Elliot snap out of his distracting thoughts. "Ah! Yeah, here we go!"

The man and his chatot would easily leave the camp, them having gone out many times before. Elliot was used to the terrain by now, and smiled as he walking cautiously, occasionally glancing down at the compass that he held in his hand. Bernadette simply stayed perched on his shoulder, but she held her head up high. She glared out into the night-covered wilderness, looking out for potential threats.

Blue didn't know that the first feelings she'd ever feel being here were loneliness. She didn't want to feel that way, but... She couldn't help but feel a bit worried as she watched Chuck row away from the island, further and further away from her... Her hands trembled, aching to start tugging at her sleeves. The need grew stronger the further Chuck rowed away. She didn't want to be alone... But like he said, he needed to stay at his stand. She needed to own up and deal with being alone for a day or two.

... Besides, she wasn't truly alone. The girl looked down to her team, who all seemed to be intrigued by the new surroundings. Sasha and Mary softly murmured to each other as they began to pace around, admiring the flowers and the evening sky together. While Joey soared through the air at alarming speeds to explore, Poppy simply stood beside her trainer. She seemed a bit vacant, not knowing what to think of this new world before her. The human and cactus stared off into the sea in unison, although their internal thoughts probably couldn't be any more different.

As Chuck finally vanished from her line of sight, the girl stirred back to life. Her gaze shifted over to the hills of flowers, the vibrant colors uplifting her spirits slightly. A small grin spread across her face, trying to brush her worries aside. This couldn't be so bad, right?

A sudden thought entered Blue's head and she perked up. Quickly, she began to rummage through her bag, trying to find what she needed. Fortunately, it wasn't too difficult to find Pyro's pokeball. When the stunky was released from the ball, he seemed confused for a second. He gazed around in a questioning manner, unfamiliar with anything around him. It was easy to remember that he was just a toddler who had never left his home for too long.

Pyro immediately perked up at the call of his adopted mother. Although the mareep's voice was stern, Blue could see the softness in her gaze. The girl chuckled as she watched the baby tumbled towards the demon and sheep, his confused and happy squeaks echoing in the air.

Blue finally turned to look at the hills that lied out in front of her. Her prior awe from when she first laid eyes on it had returned to her. She slowly tugged at the maractus's arm, ignoring the pain that came while she did so. With her other hand, the girl pointed out into the lands that stood before them. "Come on, we should go now before it gets dark."

After a second, Poppy nodded and began to hop after the girl. Blue began to smile as she started to walk out further into the island, her pokemon following right after her.
