Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

They couldn't just head out yet, they needed to prepare and be stronger. So here he was, with Powder Sugar out of her ball and falling after him. She stared up at him, not sure why Shiranui was still in their pokeball. The forest lacked the nice sand she needed to make herself stronger, though she was curious on where the old human was leading her. Currently they were on the path and while she didn't see anything wrong with it, she was more curious on what was in the forest around them.

The sun was up and it was bright. It was a nice place to look at but she liked her beaches; maybe she should just go find a river? Her attention was pulled as she noticed Skids walking off the path without her even trying to get him to. She paused and stared at him, white dots turning to thin stripes as she blinked. Though she did her best to keep with him. Getting into the shade off the road, Skids paused and looked to her, giving a smile.

"Alright my dear, time to see if we can get better. I know you got some great skills and I'm sad to say but I do need to get you and Shiranui stronger. I don't like the thought all that much but if we leave this town, we'll all need to be strong." Skids told her in a kind voice as he bent down.

[Leaving this town? Oh they were going to be going on a journey soon? Hopefully I don't have to follow like this the whole time] Powder Sugar pondered as she sat there, though she slowly tried to descend from her spot.

Only to be met by Skids holding his arms out to her to try and pick her up. It certainly felt odd, like he was holding a bag of sand but without the sand. He did his best to keep a hold of her and to not let any of her sand fall to the ground. Powder Sugar was uneasy with this, she gave concerned looks around before using her stubby arms to hold onto Skids' arm. When he felt like he had a good grip on her, he started down the small hill and started to look around.

As Skids made his way down the hill with Powder Sugar in his arms, he’d find it would be pretty tricky not to slide down as the grass was damp. If he could somehow manage to keep his balance then he’d make it down safely. Passing through the trees and vines, there wasn’t much that came out to meet him. Most pokemon stayed away from humans and the rest from ghosts. Even if some weren’t scared exactly, they didn’t see him as much of a threat to go after the old man.

Along the path the man would find what appeared to be a large set of boulders resting together by a moss covered tree. Oddly enough, if one looked close enough they could swear the rocks were moving slightly. The soft snoring of a strange creature came from the formation that would reach Skid’s ears as he would continue down this path. If his curiosity was piqued enough he could a face on the other end of the boulders. Eyes shut with a horn protruding from the snout. Fangs that showed even with its mouth closed and cavities in the sides of the head that were likely ears.

This rock beast was sound asleep and it was pretty confident that nothing would disturb it. Boy was it wrong…

Charging out of the foliage was a small reptilian creature. With a shelled torso, he had a big head charging forward and limbs sprouting from the sides. This little turtle aimed to tackle the resting boulders with its skull head on. He was testing his strength and not even the possibility of damaging one of the leaves on his head would stop him from doing so. He roared as best as a young turtle could, slamming into the rhyhorn.

The larger pokemon didn’t bunch one bit but the turtle stumbled backward. “You ain’t so tough!” he growled. “I’ll show ya who the strongest is!” he got off his butt and charged into the rhyhorn once more, completely unaware it was even a pokemon. Eventually feeling the tickle of something irritating his rock hard skin, the rhyhorn woke, yawning as it began to slowly rise to its feet.

Watching the beast get up, the turtle took a few steps back, prepared to face whatever this creature was. Though the rhyhorn moved pretty slow as it made an effort to turn all the way around to face the agitator. “Who’s doing that? Buzz off,” it groaned.

Turtwig chuckled at the slow moving beast. It couldn’t even turn to face him and it dared to try and intimidate the reptile? Didn’t it know who the strongest was? “You won’t be saying that when I’ve slammed you into dust!” The turtwig put some distance between him and the rhyhorn’s butt as he prepared to attack once more. He hopped up the trunk of a tree, in an effort to give him some altitude so that he could body slam the slow moving boulder. He only bounced on the side of the rhyhorn, rolling back into the grass and vines.

“I said, cut it out,” the stone rhino groaned once more.

The bold little turtle only cackled at the rhyhorn’s command. He wasn’t going to let this thing show him up.

“I swear when I turn all the way around, you’re gonna get it, punk.” Could this turtwig really do it? It was unlikely but if he took advantage of the rhyhorn’s slow movement then it was a possibility. If the rhino turned all the way around, the turtle was done for sure.

Skids balance did try to leave him as his shoes slid along the ground. However, he corrected himself and even leaned against a tree to give himself a few moments to get his balance back while not letting Powder Sugar fall from his arms. He held onto her tighter and the pile of sand made a sound as she tightened her grip on the man's arm. It started to hurt somewhat but Skids didn't show his discomfort, not when he was the reason she was holding on so tightly. With balance restorted, he managed to make his way down and he gave a sigh of relief.

"Sorry bout that." Skids said as he looked down to Powder Sugar.

The ghost ground pokemon didn't look up at him, still thinking that they were on difficult terrian. She held on tight. For now, Skids didn't try to force her to let go. He merely loosened his grip slightly and looked around. A new path showed itself and he started along it, a sound soon coming to his ears that made his grey brows raise in curiosity. Now what was big enough to make that sound? Soon he found the source and was rather surprised with how well the creature blended in.

If not for that horn and those fangs, Skids would've thought it was just a rock. The snoring made Powder Sugar look and the pokemon was scared of them. They were huge! And that horn! He looked dangerous, she looked up to Skids, hoping the man would retreat quickly. But she saw curiosity on his old face but he had stopped walking. Perhaps he was trying to not wake the beast? But...couldn't they move to a different spot and let the man be curious? Still she didn't speak, fear of waking that beast up. Alas, her desire of the sleeping creature would go ignored as something else came through the foliage. And headbutted it?!!!

Even Skids was surprised, looking between the two creature's sizes and differences, even he saw that this was a bad idea. Looking around, he spotted a few rocks that were away from the foolish turtle slamming into the behind of the larger one. With a few quick steps, Skids went over to it and set Powder Sugar down on them so she wouldn't be at risk on the ground. With each grain of sand off of him, he looked back over his shoulder to the Turtwig foolishly ramming the rhyhorn. Seeing them do it again but the large stone creature having opened their eyes and was making sounds that weren't snores, he knew that this would get bad quick. So the older man looked to Powder Sugar and gave her a smile.

"Stay put." Skids whispered before turning and going back to where they were before.

[What?!] Powder Sugar thought as her white dot eyes went big.

Oh no no no! She wasn't going to sit up on this rock. The sand like pokemon positioned herself to slid off of the stone behind it in order to hide. The strange human was interesting, she'd give him that. But to hell if she was gonna watch him get flattened while on a high perch! Hoping that POwder Sugar would be safe on the rock, Skids tried to figure out what he should do. He could try to intervene.

Shiranui though wouldn't be able to take on that larger being and he doubted that the demon pup would like the Turtwig enough to help them. They were still adjusting to Powder Sugar after all. Knowing that time was of great importance, Skids tried to figure something out.

"Stop!" Skids called out, hoping to halt the foolishness of the Turtwig.

Course, he knew not what that would mean for him. Would the Rhyhorn assume that the turtwig was his? They weren't...

"Come on now, why are you bothering someone who was taking a nap? That's not nice and I don't know if that'll really help with what you might be hoping to achieve." Skids asked as he walked over, though he gave both pokemon space and he bent his legs to be more toward the ground level.

But still on his feet in case he needed to jump back. He looked at the young Turtwig and gave them a kind smile. Knowing that chances of them understanding him were slim.

The little turtle didn’t appreciate the interruption. He quickly hopped around to look at what creature shouted out in his direction. He was focusing on whooping some tail and here comes this long noodle of a pokemon. What was this being and why was it screeching? Perhaps it was doing some kind of mating ritual for the rhyhorn. It didn’t matter since the turtwig was giving the fat rhino a spanking.

Was this one of those humans, he heard about? Others were always saying how dangerous they were with their legion of evil pokemon. Whatever, turtwig was the strongest there was and no filthy flesh-bag was going to intimidate him. The turtwig decided to abandon the rhino as it was already defeated. The stone beast couldn’t even look him in the eye as he felt the full force of the turtles tackle.

Turtwig planted his feet on the ground, positioning himself to tackle the human. If they were as tough as pokemon claimed then this one was likely weaker slightly. It seemed old and probably about to fall over from a bad back or whatever. The turtle charged forward aiming to tackle Skids in the shin. He had to break the human at its roots. “Yeah, you ain’t nothin’!”

Whatever Skids decided to do the rhyhorn would still be slowly turning. They were on borrowed time, even if it seemed they had forever at this speed. When the rhyhorn was completely turned around, it would surely unleash its strength. He would destroy anything in his path, even if it wasn’t of any bother. “I’m still teach you a lesson,” the stone beast groaned.

Skids figured that since they were out in the forest, the pokemon were more wild. More instinct obeying as their instincts often served them well out here. Of course, since the man was still on his feet, he quickly stood up and moved to the side when he knew that the small turtle was charging toward em. So he just watched them go past him.

"Honestly..." Skids muttered.

Though hearing the Ryhohorn once more, he looked to see the beast still turning. Oh dear. However, he noticed that Powder Sugar was no longer on the rock he had set her.

Oh no.... Skids thought.

Had she fallen off or run off? Either was possible, although she was normally quiet and timid, she was still new to him. Had he scared her too much by bringing her here? Though his attention went back to the Turtwig. They probably wouldn't be pleased with him having dodged their attack, so he quickly moved away from the turning rock beast. Going over to a different spot, he made sure the turtwig would easily spot em.

"HEY! OVer here fella." Skids called to the turtwig, trying to gain their attention further.

Maybe he could divert their attention and use that to make em leave this area? Cause that big stone beast probably didn't have much longer to turn and Skids didn't want to risk taking Shiranui out. Skids clapped his hands together loudly, trying to pull their attention. Maybe they would think it was some sort of attack?

"Come on! You can go faster than that I'm sure!" Skids added

@Readlliea

The turtwig was insulted. This human was either challenging him or taunting him. Whatever he was doing, the turtle didn’t like it. Had he not seen the grass type’s head? It was huge! He was going to get tackled right in the legs. When the human was down on the ground, he’d body slam him with the full weight of his rock hard shell. Yeah, this human didn’t know who he was messing with.

It was a shame the young turtwig was distracted with the human. Had he been been paying attention, he’d notice that the rhyhorn was almost turned around. At this point the beast could see who he was coming for. Spotting the little turtle, he was going to crush the grass type to jelly. “Oh, I see you now, punk,” the rhino bellowed. “Just you wait, I’m coming for you.” He wasn’t lying. Just a few more degrees and it was pummeling time.

Turtwig ignored the rhyhorn, setting his sights on Skids who was beckoning the youngster to come for him. He was going to show this guy. “You better get used to crawling, cause I’m about to crack those twigs you call legs!” the turtle charged toward the human with his head bowed for a tackle. He really wasn’t as fast as he thought he was but it didn’t mean the attack wouldn’t hurt.

As the rambunctious scamp dashed out of sight from the rhino, the beast glared in awe. “Hey, don’t you run from me, kid!” The rhyhorn continued turning, only he picked up the pace a bit. He was going to get this little punk if it took him all day. It didn’t matter if he was being helped by some other creature. The stoned beast didn’t see who was with the turtwig but he could hear them shouting strange noises. If he didn’t know any better, it was a human. At least, he was sure that’s what they sounded like.

If Skids didn’t move out of the way then the turtwig was surely going to ram into his shins. The turtle wasn’t one to give up so it was unknown how long this would go on or how much of this Skids could take. If the two stayed in this area any longer then they were eventually going to have to deal with the rhyhorn. Fortunately for them he wasn’t very fast and they could possibly lose sight of him if they moved quick enough.

While glad to see his efforts working, Skids looked up to notice the Rhyhorn still moving. He was almost fully turned around!! He felt unease and a bit of panic hit his chest though looking back to the turttwig, he took notice of them running toward him. Before they even reached him, Skids took off running to the right. Part of him wondering if the small green turtle would be able to turn while charging like that but also, he wanted to get them out of the Rhyhorn's sight.

Powder Sugar was about to peak out behind her rock when Skids appeared in view. Confused, she didn't need to wait long to see what he was doing. HE was going to get hurt! Or worse! Oh..but what could she do? The man had told her to stay put, she had disobeyed that to a small degree. Watching Skids trying to evade the small turtle as well as use the rocks over here to help give them cover. The rocks were tall enough to hide small pokemon after all and it would be something to block the Rhyhorn's view. Sure they would probably see Skids since the human was taller but only from the waist up.

Oh what to do? She wasn't sure in all honesty. Peaking out, her white dot eyes would catch sight of the turtwig; whether or not he managed to keep chasing Skids or not. She didn't really have much she could do. The sand pokemon would slink back to hide, using harden on herself out of uncertainty.

"Come on fella, it's not safe here." Skids commented, his grey blue eyes glancing back to the Rhyhorn that was no a bit further back and needing to turn more hopefully.

Leading the turtwig away, the little scamp and human were nowhere in sight when the rhyhorn turned around. He turned his head side to side looking around for a hint of where they might have gone off to. Whatever happened, there was likely no way he’d find them. This didn’t mean he wouldn’t attempt to track them down. The beast pressed his snout into the dirt, sniffing for some trace of the infuriating turtwig.

Charging after the human, the young turtle did not let up. Sliding in the grass as he attempted to stop, the turtwig quickly tried to change course. The human ran off toward another direction and he was trying to keep up with him. Skids was calling to the turtwig but he just interpreted this as a challenge. Whatever sounds the human was doing nothing but agitating the little one. “Come on, dodging is for wimps!” groaned the turtle from his beak.

He didn’t know that the human was just trying to lead him away for his own safety. It was a good thing that Skids had done this but perhaps it would have been better to just deal with the rhino than face what was to come. As the human could lead the turtwig further away from the rhyhorn, they could eventually hear some buzzing echoing through the forest. The sounds seemed to be followed by a fluttering of wings. Perhaps that of a bird?

There was a clearing they’d come across where they’d find a small pond nearby. Not that it was important to the figures they’d eventually come across but one could see it if they cared to pay attention. In this clearing were three insects gathered together. Two were hovering as they beat their tiny wings rapidly. One was a yellow bee that appeared to have 3 hexagons pressed together like it was part of a puzzle. Each hexagon appeared to have a face but whether or not they had minds of their owns was completely unknown.

Buzzing in the air next to the combee was another bug that was about twice the size of the it, if not bigger. This insect seemed to have a mostly blue body and head, with black and purple accents. And between the two but on the ground, was a small orange bug with pincers and two tiny mushrooms sprouting from its back. The three bugs were either angry or frightened. Mostly the two floating in the air were angry. The one on the ground was seemed to be the one that was terrified by what was standing before them.

There were two birds that appeared to be interested in having the birds as a meal. One was mostly black with a white face and breast. He had some red on the top of his head that curled up with his feathers. His beak was a lot pointier than his partners. This other bird who was a lot rounder and pudgy. She was gray with some black patterns on her wings and tail. Her yellow eyes peered at the paras waving its pinsirs in the air in a panic.

“Please don’t eat me! I was just minding my own business!” the red bug cried.

Illumise placed herself at the front of this insect group. She was not having any of these birds and their shenanigans today. “You can take your beaks and shove them up your tail feathers,” she threatened. There was no way any bird was going to rip apart any bug while she was patrolling these parts. The paras had only came out to get a drink from the pond and these two feathered predators began pecking away at his exoskeleton.

“My queen has spoken! Back off or we’ll be forced to fight!” the combee shouted at the two birds. The illumise wasn’t really his queen but ever since she saved him from a human attack he has stayed by her side. The rest of his hive ditched him to save their own lives. It made him think about where his loyalties lied and the only one looking out for him was this purple bug friend. His new queen.

The birds gave each other a look each before cackling out loud. Their beaks wide open as laughter burst from them. They couldn’t believe these bugs thought they stood a chance against them. They were the predators with sharp talons and shark beaks to pierce these squishy insects. “Alright, that was a good laugh, my ribs are actually sore!” the pikipek chuckled.

Pidove turned her attention back to the bugs, focusing on the goal. “We were just going to snack away at the pinchy one here but since you punks want to join in, we’d be glad to have you for dinner,” she chirped. Pikipek readying himself to attack. He didn’t want to charge in only to have the pidove back out last minute. She was lazy like that, letting him do all the work but she was just so beautiful, he didn’t care. He’d do anything for her and that included getting his tail kicked by some insects.

Skids could totally ignore this potential fight but coming this way would likely be out of the rhyhorn's way. The path leading away from this area would likely lead to them behind found by the rock beast, depending if they slowed down or not.

POwder Sugar started to follow, though Skids returned her to her pokeball when he noticed her coming toward him. He didn't want her to get hurt by trying to follow him. So here he was, with pokeball in hand that was quickly shoved into his pocket with a small turtle following him with the intent to strike. Now he just needed to figure out what to do. How to make them see that this was a waste of their time? Or at least, help them see that they would've lost that fight.

However as they came to a clearing, Skids could see it. A group of pokemon gathered, two bugs were hiding behind a purple bug that was taller than they were. His gaze moved over to the birds that were surrounding em. This was a still a risk. Taking out Powder Sugar's pokeball, he looked over to the Turtwig.

"Come on." Skids spoke. "If you wish to do battle, it must wait. But you can help help them."

With that, Skids threw the pokeball and Powder Sugar appeared once more. Only she was in front of the purple bug and facing the birds.

"What?!" Powder Sugar questioned though she looked to see Skids giving her a encouraging smile.

"You can do this Powder Sugar!" Skids encouraged. "Use Absorb on the bird."

For now, Skids was standing still, putting more focus onto his pokemon and helping the bug pokemon. He wasn't taking note of what the grass turtle was going to do and in all honesty, he hoped they understood his intentions. He didn't want to hurt the bug pokemon, but rather come to their aid. Powder Sugar looked though she wasn't sure which bird to attack. So she choose to go for the plump Pidove. Sending a green light toward them to try and suck some health away from them.

@Readlliea

In pursuit of the human, the turtwig was sure he was gaining on the human. Along the way, the man came across a creepy pokemon made of sand. He just absorbed it into some kind of magic orb. Was this the human’s intent? Was this person trying to lead him into some kind of trap so he could defeat the grass type? The turtle was not going to be confined or destroyed as such.

As Skids made his way into the clearing with the turtwig sure he was going to ram this sucker’s legs any moment now, the wild bugs and birds hadn’t even noticed him. They were so focused in their own dialogue that any sounds around them were muted. The old man seemed to still be trying to lure the turtle.

The little guy noticed the pond and group of pokemon huddled together in what seemed to be a confrontation. The turtwig was realizing that this must have been part of the ambush. These pokemon were teamed up with the human and they were all discussing how to trap him. Well not today, the turtle though. He was going to fight any of them that tried to touch him. Besides, they’d likely be more of a challenge than the fragile fleshbag of a human.

Turtwig watched as the human made his way to the group of ambushers when he suddenly summoned the pile of sand. The little scamp was so confused as to how he was able to do this. How was this human making pokemon disappear and reappear? This was nothing like how he was able to disappear into his shell. It was freaky and he didn’t like it.

As the sandygast joined the group of wild pokemon near the pond and suddenly attacked one of the birds. Now things were even more confusing. If this sand creature was attacking the bird did that mean it wasn’t one of its teammates? If this was the case then perhaps he should just stay out of this since it was none of his business. Though it would likely be fun smash one of the insects with his body slam. Bugs were always trying to eat his head sprout and they needed to be taught a lesson.

Caught completely unaware by the ghost pokemon, the pidove felt a sap of energy being drained from her while she watched her pikipek friend prepare to initiate combat with the bugs. She turned around quickly to retaliate against whatever was attacking her. “Who dares?!” she crowed.

All the wild pokemon turned their attention to the sandygast who sneaked an attack on the gray bird. Pikipek was in a rage. “Did you just try to drink my girlfriend?” he chirped, flapping his wings violently.

The bugs didn’t know if this ghost was trying to help them or just had a bone to pick with the birds but whatever the reason, they could use this as an opportunity to escape or attack. They waited to see what would happen next.

Pidove would have normally let pikipek handle the fighting but this thing had the nerve to sap. She was going to teach him a lesson her damn self. She lifted into the air, fluttering her wings as she summoned a brush of wind to strike Powder Sugar.

Pikipek was about to follow up with his signature move but he noticed the human and what could possibly their turtle pokemon. This must have been trying to enslave his love and he wasn’t going to have it. The bird lifted off the ground as well and dove for the turtle, aiming to take him out with one strike. “I’ll teach you punks to sneak up on us!”

Thinking he was invincible, the turtwig was ready to take the attack from the bird head on. The black and white bird slammed into the turtle with all its power. Having taken a massive amount of damage, the little scamp wasn’t sure if it was a good idea to try and wall the attack. It hurt like hell as he flew back into a tree stump. He picked himself up as best he could. This wasn’t going to be the end at all!

Turtwig charged forward. He had to get the bird while he was low to the ground. Leaping into the air, the turtle crashed down, slamming the pikipek into the ground. The bird was crushed and feeling like maybe he should have chosen another tactic. Pulling himself from under the bird, he flew back into the air to ready himself for another attack. He couldn't use his specialty again but another move could finish off this turtle but he needed to catch his breath.

“You’re strong!” the turtwig roared to the bird. “But you ain’t tougher than me.”

Things quickly escalated and now, the turtwig was sort of helping out but Skids noticed how weakened they looked. They probably hurt themselves while ramming that stone beast from behind and now that attack looked like it did some damage to em. Reaching into his pocket, he took out Shiranui's pokeball and released em.

"Shiranui, help the turtle. Use Fire Fang." Skids instructed pointing at the red and white bird.

Shiranui's demon gaze locked onto the the bird and taking a running start, the pup ran past the turtle. Leaping onto a rock, they attempted to jump in the air as embers surrounded their fangs and attempted to clamp down on the bird pokemon's wing.

Powder Sugar let out a sound as she tried to keep her shovel on her head as grains of her sandy body were blow away by the bird's gust. The attack didn't hurt as much as she feared it would though she still didn't like it. The ghost ground pokemon looked to Skids who looked back at her and gave her a encouraging smile.

"You're doing good, Powder Sugar!" Skids cheered. "Use Harden and stand strong, you'll be alright."

Powder Sugar was glad she didn't have to try a different attack. The pile of sand brought her grains of sand closer to her, raising her defense as she sat there. Looking up at the pidove, she could tell they were pissed. Though she didn't really think that this was going to go well. Why did Skids send her out first? And then Shiranui? Wait...what was Shiranui doing? She heard Skids giving them a order but she didn't dare move her head to look.

The swarm of bugs continued watching. There was no point in getting involved if they didn’t have to. That crazy attack from the pikipek was enough to put some fear into them. Even the pudgy gray bird was fighting back and this human and his pokemon seemed as if they could handle things just fine.

Pidove was glad to see the ghost type struggling to keep her form together. Another gust of wind could be enough to blow her away completely. The bird wasn’t exactly an expert on how well a ghost could reform but with the sand scattered everywhere in a hot, damp rainforest, she couldn’t imagine it would be easy. Before she could prepare another attack, something had grabbed her attention as a beam of red light materialized into the clearing.

The human was standing there, having released a pokemon from one of his prison orbs. A demon burst from the ball, with his fangs engulfed in flames. The canine was targeting pikipek and there was nothing she could do about it. The black and white bird was drained from his reckless attack and he was not expecting to be ambushed by a demon.

Pidove chirped at the pikipek to get out of the way, but the bird was so distracted by the turtle that he didn’t see the fire fang coming for him. The demon’s fangs pierced the pikipek by the wing as he hovered not too far off the ground. The bird let out a loud cry as the fangs of the demon sunk into him. The flames from the attack, scorched the wing of the pikipek, setting fire to the rest of his body as well. He continued screaming in pain as he struggled to get out of Shiranui’s grip. When he was finally free, the bird went crashing into the pond, extinguishing the flames.

Pikipek floated in the water, burnt to a crisp and bleeding from her wing. He died as everyone in the area watched. The bugs were terrified of what the demon had done. They couldn’t find the strength to flee but were also intrigued by the results of the battle so far. Would the human be able to defeat the pidove next? Would he allow her to escape if she tried. They had to know and had no intentions to go until they found out.

The pigeon pokemon let out a shrill cry at the sight of her dead mate. “Nooo! You’ll pay for that demon!” she threatened as the bird lifted into the air, fluttering her wings at the demon dog. She could push and push until he was dead. She could care less about the sandygast or the turtwig. This poochyena had to die and she was going to kill him herself.

While the sudden help came from the poochyena, turtwig watched in the background. It didn’t bother him to see the way the demon handled the bird. Good! The loser was asking for it and he was too weak to picking a fight with squishy bugs. Though, the turtle felt he had done most of the work. He just needed a moment to catch his breath so he could fight the rest of these losers. “Nice work, demon!” he cheered from a distance.

Skids had a look of surprise on his face, in all honesty, he hadn't expected this. The old man believed the bird would still survive. That the bird would be badly hurt but able to survive. But now, as soon as Shiranui clamped down with their powerful jaws with embers adding to the damage and a limp body was released. He knew. The bird was dead.

I....I didn't think that would happen... Skids thought to himself, unsure of what to do with what just happened.

The man never meant for that to happen. Even as Shiranui landed on the ground, the demon didn't seem to phased by it. Hunting was what the pack did and the bird was prey, food to be eaten. However, he heard the turtwig's approval chant and the Pidove's enraged yell. A smile came to the canine's face as he snarled at the bird, her wings spread wide as she intended to get her vengeance. The Gust of wind was felt as Shiranui rushed forward, ignoring the stinging of the wind as he rushed through the attack, taking damage from his foolishness. Fangs once more engulfed with embers as the canine leaped up, trying to bite the bird's leg to at least deal some damage; as he lacked the extra lift the rock had given him when he had leaped the first time at the Pikpeak.

"Shiranui, no!" Skids yelled, but it was too late, thus he turned his gaze to Powder Sugar. "Absorb, quickly Powder Sugar."

Powder Sugar was surprised at Skids orders, he didn't want Shiranui to attack the Pidove? Or...was he more concerned for the bird's safety? Though as the ghost ground pokemon watched in fear, she knew that there was a risk of Shiranui's landing going bad. Maybe Skids just wanted to try and keep the two of them in decent condition? For Powder Sugar had taken damage form that Pidove. Figuring that just in case the demon missed this time, she looked to the Pidove and used Absorb, attempting to steal some health from the bird to aid herself.

@Readlliea

Satisfied her attack hit the demon, she crowed. “Die, die die!” The bird was filled with rage and wanted to destroy the poochyena. It was just a shame her second attack had missed. She was sure she could finish him or knock him into the pond if he hadn’t dodged.

Strangely enough, she hadn’t expected both enemies to attack her together. She was too narrowly focused on the one who killed her mate that she didn’t think the ghost would continue attacking her. The pidove felt her energy being sapped once more. Turning her attention to the ghost, she spotted it using its absorbing abilities. She did not want to die here. Even if she wanted revenge for her mate. It was better to grow stronger and live to fight another day.

She prepared to fly off until the heat of the demon’s fangs came at her trying to clamp around her body. The bird hovered attempted to fly up higher but the demon was fast. He was able to crunch her wing before she could get away. The bird came crashing into the ground. With a damaged wing she couldn’t fly away and was now panicking with her one functioning way, pushing her in circles.

“I’m sorry that I was just trying to eat! You didn’t have to kill my mate. Now you’re going to kill me,” she bird chirped in a fret. She was likely going to die here and it was kind of her own fault. But there was no way she’d acknowledge that. The pidove had to believe she was in the right, just being the predator she was and hunting for food like any other wild pokemon.

The bugs and turtwig didn’t know what the human and his pokemon would do from here. Would they finish off the bird? The turtwig didn’t see why they wouldn’t. She was weak and had to be eliminated. Only the strong survived and that’s why the turtle was alive. He was the strongest! The insect group knew that the bird was aiming to eat or destroy them but this was still harsh to watch. Was this how all demons and ghosts were? Was the pikipek’s death not enough?

Shiranui gave a snarl as he held her down and by the wing, the demon's fur was sticking up. Indeed, this was how nature worked. Predators hunted and prey was eaten. She was doing what nature intended her to do, as was for the demon. The demon was higher up on the food chain after all. Birds was just one of their meal items. In all honesty, Shiranui was just obeying instincts and the idea of having fresh prey again and him being the one to deliver the killing blow, was just a lovely thought. Oh yes, he was still wild in a way. A natural predator.

Powder Sugar winced at the sight, feeling some strength return to her and she gave a uncertain look to Skids. Though what she found was the human staring in shock. NO no no!! This wasn't what was suppose to happen! He should've missed her!! OR at least one of them miss the bird! Skids had only interfered to help. A glance to the bugs showed they were okay, although clearly scared. His gaze went to the dead bird that floated on the water's surface. Was it needed? Was any of this needed? Should he even had interfered?

"Stop." Skids said firmly, though Shiranui didn't listen.

Why? Lately the demon had been acting off in his mind. Sure, he could understand them being wary of Crispin, but they snapped at them with flames rather than normal fangs. Why? Was this why people feared demons? Is this why people tried to tell him to get rid of the pup? Brows narrowing, he approached the struggling bird whom was squaking and Shiranui, who held onto her ring. Resting on his knees, he sat there. Looking right at the dog.

"Enough Shiranui, let her go." Skids spoke, his voice firm.

The demon gave them a glare, as if a challenge of authority. Shiranui wasn't really paying attention to their actions, the subtle details of it. He was just enjoying the hunt! He wanted the reward of a hunt. Considering how that poliwag humiliated him by drenching his coat repetitively and then getting away, Shiranui didn't want that again. Shiranui wanted to win and this would be a good reward indeed.

"Let go!" Skids yelled, reaching and grabbing the canine by the muzzle, trying to pry the dog's mouth open.

Powder Sugar noticed the man looked unhappy. Did he not want them to win this battle? Or was it something else? Powder Sugar didn't really understand the circumstances, she had lived under a abandoned building in town till Skids came upon her. Though not even she liked how close his hands were to Shiranui's mouth and well, she knew what happened once before. And sure enough, you don't try to take food from a wild dog.

Shiranui's displeasure from the interaction with Crispin and the sheer audacity of something trying to stop him. This was his!! He had earned the right to kill this stupid prey. Sure enough, Shirauni gave several enraged snarls before releasing the Pidove's wing and whipping their head up. With a fast motion, their sharp fangs made contact with cloth and flesh, a taste of iron in their mouth, and there would be a pained cry from whatever was trying to stop him from doing what he wanted.

Skids gave a cry of pain, his face contorting in pain and he gritted his teeth. The man's eyes were wide as this hurt far more than that first time. The first time, the rain had dulled the effect of fire fang but this was with normal fangs. This time, Shiranui didn't realize what he did quickly, instead, they were biting down with as much force as their little jaws could muster. Powder Sugar gave a gasp, shock and horror on her sandy face. Blood poured from the flesh, escaping through small gaps between fang and flesh. Thankfully, it was further up than his hand or wrist, just in that forearm area. As much as there was pain, anger quickly surged through him. Old brows narrowed as he gritted his teeth.

His free hand grabbed Shirauni roughly by their scruff and Shiranui would feel themselves shoved forcefully to the ground. Still caught up in their instincts but jarred enough to hear what came next.

"ENOUGH!!!" SKids snarled, the man shaking with anger. "ENOUGH SHIRAUNUI!! LISTEN TO ME!!"

What had been missing before was finally established. While Shiranui had been starting to like Skids due to them being a sort of pack, there was now something finally added. A alpha. Skids showing dominance and authority over the pup. A pack always had a leader and thus far, this pack didn't really seem that way. Skids made themselves seem more like a elder of the pack rather than the alpha male who reigned supreme. Shiranui's eyes went wide as they realized the thing they were biting down on was Skids' forearm. The forearm of the alpha!

Releasing Skids' arm, Shiranui took on a submissive stance. Their ears lowered and their tail tucked between their hind legs. They kept their red eyes away from the man and made a few whimpers, as if to try harder to show they were submitting to the older male. Skids on the other hand, didn't see this as a pack mentality. He just wanted Shiranui to stop! The man looked to the pidove, his eyes still full of anger and displeasure.

"Go! Go on." Skids growled to the bird.

"He...he said leave..." Powder Sugar translated, in case the bird wouldn't understand.
