Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

encounter results
Sasha gains 11 EXP, Mary gains 12 EXP and +1% loyalty (and learns Smog!), Fluffy gains 1 EXP. I'll go edit this all in now, along with the -1 potion used on Mary~

The Seviper, being completely unconscious, had absolutely no way of dodging the vengeful sheep's incoming attack. Unlike down the rest of her body, there was no thick muscles on her skull to cushion the blow. Sasha would feel a bit of a crunch beneath her as some bones shattered beneath her weight (which was not a considerable weight, but given the extra momentum and power put behind it, was enough to crush some of the smaller bones within the now-dead snake's skull).

The crunch was enough to make the Sandile glance over his shoulder. A sheep mutilating the body of a snake. How... interesting.

But then the sheep decided to prance on over toward him, and his interest quickly died as quickly as it had sparked as he was subjected to her running her mouth, bleating and baaing in the way that her kind did.

He had no idea why the sheep was addressed him as though he was a friend. Or on their side. Sure, he was about to harass a Bonsly that apparently she had issue with, but that was mere coincidence, as was the fact that apparently he had killed a feline that had offended her. But if that sheep though he was doing these things as a favor to her, she had another thing coming.

As she directed a question toward him, his expression was deadpan. (Crime scene? The heck was this nasty ball of fluff talking about?)

//Unless you want to be next.//

Meanwhile, all the Bonsly had to say in response to the entire situation was a screamed statement of, //I DON'T KNOW YOU!//

The Sandile snorted, then prodded with a falsely gentle voice, //Mm, and about you babies?//

//My babies!// The young Bonsly shrieked, turning away from the sheep and crocodile to lean over her gathered berries, resuming her attempts to push them away from the group, shuffling them along with her oval-shaped feet.

The crocodile crept up close, directly behind the Bonsly, and began nipping at her heels. //You'll have to move faster than that to get away, mama. You do want to save your babies, don't you?//

The Bonsly squealed and tried to shuffle along faster, only to trip over the berries she was so desperately attempting to rescue.

Hissing out a breathy laugh, the Sandile stretched forward and snapped at one of the berries, severing it in half, juices oozing from his jaws as he chewed very thoughtfully on the half he had in his jaws. Berries weren't really his preferred form of sustenance, but the reaction of the Bonsly? Mm, that was delicious.

The rock-type was too busy being face-down in the dry desert ground to witness her baby being heartlessly and effortlessly bitten in half, but after a few seconds of concerted effort, she was back on her feet. Frantically, she moved about gathering the berries back up. //One, two... Two... Two... Two...// She searched for the third, not recognizing at first that the half-bitten berry lying on the ground between her and the Sandile was all that was left of the third berry.

She stared at it for a moment, then stared at the Sandile, who was stood grinning, green pieces of the fruit's flesh lodged between his teeth, juices dripping down his scaly chin. She took a long, silent moment to process the scene.

Then the Bonsly's inhuman screech pierced the air.

Sasha's expression changed from delighted and angry to disappointed and confused in a mere matter of seconds. She... She didn't know how exactly to respond. She recognized the retile as a demon, and Mary was a demon... She assumed that demons were cool. Not trashy.

The sheep couldn't help but wince at the situation in front of her. She slowly started to back up as the bonsly started shrieking and squealing. Should she help..? Well... Mary had almost been killed last time they helped the bonsly. The tree rock didn't even tell them thank you or try to help at the slightest. Still, the cries couldn't help but make her feel... Sentimental.

Sasha turned and looked over at the human and Mary, then back at the sandile and bonsly. She felt kinda sick in the stomach as she left to walk towards her trainer.

Blue sighed in relief as she noticed Mary starting to move more. The human set down the container the potion was in, and scratched the houndour behind the ear. She couldn't focus on the situation happening nearby, for she was immersed in her anxiety and fear for the dog's survival.

She felt the prod of Sasha's woolly head and she glanced down. "... You okay, Sashi?" Blue murmured, wincing at the dull look in the sheep's face. She felt the rustling of Mary's limbs, and the human hesitated to set the houndour down.

"There, there, Mary... We'll be home soon... Just try and save your strength." Blue whispered with a worried undertone in her face. Suddenly, an ear-piercing scream caught the girl's attention.

She snapped her gaze up, and noticed the bonsly with the berries, sans one. Blue whimpered and stood up quickly, causing the ant in her bag to screech in alarm.

The human quickly shuffled over to the tiny pokemon, almost completely ignoring the demon reptile. Blue dug into her bag and pulled out a random berry, making Fluffy screech more in the process.

"U-Um, here you go! Are you okay, Rocky!?" The girl murmured loudly to the bonsly, not knowing the species actual name. She set the berry in the small pile and even tried to give the pokemon a small reassuring pat.

@BestBella

[Shh I'm totally Jani]

The sandile started laughing once again, the breathy huffs that the crocodile made for laughs much quicker than before. Though it could hardly be heard over the scream, the scream died down before the laughter did, the dark-type needing to collect himself from the sheer amusement of this crazy rock-type. Oh, the thrill he was getting from messing with this creature. If the reptile had been able to, he would definitely have licked his lips in order to mock her - but as it was, his kind was not able to do such a thing unfortunately. Still, there were many other ways to mess with the bonsly that were just as satisfactory.

"Oh no, looks like you weren't good enough to save that one. But you know what they say - death builds character." He nipped forward playfully towards the berries, though after the previous bite it was likely that the gesture wouldn't be taken as playful but another threat. But he didn't eat another one - it wasn't time yet. He intended to prolong the fun as long as he could, as it would be a shame to let such a wonderful time end so soon. However he seemed to have been interrupted as the human spoke words, funbling through her things and pulling out another berry for the 'mother'.

The distressed pokemon snapped back into focus on her babies as the human came over and dared to place a hand near them. A scream caught in her throat as she took a couple steps, but her hand was gone before she could make a sound. There was... something else next to her babies. Where had this thing been? Would it infect her babies? She needed to be careful, to protect those that were left from this terrifying predator. But now there was this... thing near hers.

On further inspection, she noted that it almost seemed similar to her babies. Was this a different baby? No other could possibly replace her baby. She wanted her baby back, not some replacement! She wanted this sandile to give her baby back and go away, to leave her and them alone in peace! And whatever this thing was. Was this the human's baby? No, humans didn't have berries, that was silly. But then, who's baby was this? Was this stolen from it's mother, much as the chomped had been taken away from her?

She wouldn't have it. No, not this berry. It was not hers, and it couldn't hope to replace her baby. The sandile took a step forward, earning a nevous squeak and stumbling from the bonsly who kicked the unknown berry away to continue helping her own. She pushed them away, as fast as she could with her little feet as she glanced back at the demon. "You failed one already, surely you don't want to fail another, do you?" He nipped at her once more, the little creature holding back from crying as she rushed to push the berries away from them. Away from them all, to safety. "No! Not my babies!" She released little shrieks each time the sandile nipped towards her, threatening her and her babies, as she attempted to get away - with the little half piece being kicked along as well, as if she hoped there was some way to save it.

A tooth scraped against her wood, not in a bite but a simple scratch to cause her to try to hurry more.

Blue winced in regret as she noticed the bonsly scream and kick away the berry it was given. Okay... So Rocky didn't enjoy this one. Good to know.

As her eyes suddenly caught the sight of the killed 'baby', the girl finally realized what the sandile was doing. It was either trying to get a good meal from the berries or just taunting this poor creature. Either way, she was slightly disturbed by it.

Blue wimpered as the demon reptile began to snap its jaws at the little rock tree. She had to do something... Right? Surely this bonsly wasn't in the wrong considering what Mary and Sasha had risked for it.

Blue crouched down and lightly helped the bonsly shove the berries away, merely leaving behind the berry she had originally given. She did this for a couple moments, or until the bonsly refused for help, and then turned to the sandile.

The small human stood up, and walked right in front of the sandile. In the process, she grabbed the rejected berry from earlier. Blue slowly crouched down and offered the berry to the demon. "Okay... Sir, Ma'am? I can't really tell, sorry... If you would kindly leave this bonsly alone, I can give you berries to eat..."

Honestly, she didn't care or even notice that this creature probably wouldn't understand her. Hell, would it even accept her? Would it attack? Well, if anything, it bought the bonsly time. Still, a wave of uneasiness and almost panic swept over her as she stood near the sandile.

In the background, Sasha stood over the collapsed dog. She often shifted her gaze from Mary to Human. Ugh... What was she doing?

Uneasiness settled in her stomach as the small girl confronted the demon... And judging from what was happening with the bonsly, this wouldn't end well. The mareep got up, and glanced at Mary.

"(Okay, Mar-Mar... Listen, if I run off, please don't worry... I'm going to be gone for a bit for this demon attacks the human.)" She whispered to the houndour, easing her gaze solely on the scene in front of her.

Mary sighed as she heard Sasha speak. The blood and death scent from the seviper and purrloin occupied her thoughts, and she couldn't really figure out what her friend was saying. Still, the houndour tried to hoist herself up. Her suddenly still limbs sent her back on the ground.

@BestBella

"My ba- bies..." The Bonsly's initial screech of alarm as Blue's thin and dexterous human fingers began to touch her berries dropped drastically in volume halfway through as the rock creature realized that Blue was not taking them or hurting them, but was actually pushing them along in the direction that she herself was trying to escape in. That was... alright.

The Sandile watched with narrowed eyes as this occurred, his mind already churning with the implications of the human deciding to take the Bonsly's side. He continued to stare in silence even as the human turned to speak to him in the odd language of humans, meeting Blue's eyes with his own darkly masked eyes, his reptilian face unreadable save for his narrowed, judging eyes.

He had a number of options, but it seemed many of those options would likely result with him facing off against multiple opponents. Could he face one sheep, one hound, one bug, one human, or one rock? Definitely. Could he face all of those at once and survive? As elite of a killer as he knew he was, his chances were not good.

Perhaps direct conflict was not necessary. He was a creature of multiple talents, after all. He did have a particular skill, one which he did not often use. He did prefer direct, aggressive approaches, after all, but in some cases it was good to have another trick to use.

He attempted to pull at the aura of... energy, for a lack of a better descriptor, that he always felt roiling about himself, radiating from him almost like body heat. It was weak, as he was still a young and unpracticed dark-type, but it was there. He did his best to push and pull on this energy, and focus it toward the human. If he could get the human to leave, or to become mentally crippled without bringing attention to himself, then he would probably be alright. The human seemed to have pity for the Bonsly, but the human's Pokemon did not- so if the human abandoned the Bonsly's plight, he should be in the clear.

As Blue turned from her work assisting the Bonsly to try and convince the Sandile to stop harassing her, the Bonsly took over the job of hustling the berries away. Unfortunately for the creature, she couldn't move very fast, but she just couldn't grasp the idea that standing and fighting while she had potential allies in the area was the better option. Violence just didn't... click with her. So her strategy remained largely the same: attempt to move away from the threat to her "children".

(The affect that the Sandile has on Blue is up to you- it's not very strong, focused, or controlled... so it would probably just double whatever affect Mary has on Blue, maybe?)

Blue stared blankly at the sandile, awaiting a reaction. She got nothing. Instead, she just stood and stared at dark narrowed eyes. The silence was uncomfortable. She waited for something to happen. A noise, an action, anything would of been good. The stillness of it all brought a small spur of fear.

The young woman's 'okay' mood started to descend into something else. Her already existing uneasiness and anxiety started to rise and break through. Blue winced, and glanced over from the bonsly to her team.

What was she thinking? She didn't have time to spend on this... However much she wanted to help out. Mary was just almost close to dying, for Pete's sake! The houndour needed to get home and rest!

Blue's gaze turned back to the dark-type. A new emotion dwelled within her mind. Her expression shifted into one that nearly resembled annoyance. This creature was prolonging her trip, not to mention being a huge butt. The girl took a huge sigh, feeling terrible for having to leave the bonsly.

The girl grabbed the berry she had placed in front of the sandile, her hands shaking subtly. She gave a narrow-eyed glare at the creature before slowly getting up and walking back to her group, along with the dead cat and snake. The durant in her bag had settled down and wasn't making any angry sounds by now.

Blue winced at the sight of the dead creatures, and yet... She was okay with it. This could have been Mary and Sasha if fate turned out differently, and the girl was relieved it wasn't.

The girl looked down at the crushed seviper. Nausea filled a part of her stomach. Still, the girl swallowed down that sick feeling and took the snake by the neck. She tightened her hands and slowly began to haul the heavy snake. It was a lot heavier than it looked, too heavy to be carried. So the human would have to drag the corpse back home... Hopefully this deems as a successful hunt.

Sasha let out an expression of confusion as she saw her human get up and walk away from the jerkass sandile. Was the human just going to abandon that bonsly? It seemed odd, but the sheep was in no place to complain about leaving. The mareep gently assisted her dog friend in getting up, using herself as a balance.

The houndour limply stood up, leaning on Sasha for support. Her muscles ached, and she wanted to just lay down. Mary looked up, and squinted as she realized the human had begun to drag the dead seviper. She blinked, and slowly broke away from Sasha.

She approached the dragging snake, and she bite harshly into the rough flesh. She began to help carry the body. Sasha seemed to join in a few moments later.

@BestBella

(If you'd like, you can tack on the preparation of the Seviper to the end of this thread, or just do it in a dev. Either way. You can check out this thread for a general idea of what to do~)

The Sandile was content to have a staring contest of sorts with the human, waiting to see if his attempts had had any effects on her. He was extremely pleased with himself when the girl eventually retrieved her berry and moved slowly back to her group. (Then again, when wasn't he extremely pleased with himself? He was always this spectacularly talented, after all.)

Yes. Good. Now he had the Bonsly all to himself. The pseudo-tree creature had put some distance between herself and the reptile in the last few moments, but her lack of agility and the fact that she was having to move the berries along with her meant that she hadn't gotten far. And now that the human and her pawns were out of the picture, the Sandile had all the time in the world to catch up. He was really going to savor this...

For a few long minutes, Blue and her team were then left to their own devices, the corpse of the Seviper slowing them down. Eventually, the smell of flesh and open wounds attracted a hungry little scavenger.

The Rattata's vibrant purple and tan fur coat was a bit ragged and dirty- to be expected of a wild creature, really- and he was a bit thin. Not outrageously so, as he got on well enough- his ribs couldn't be seen, but his stomach was clearly empty, not rounded or bulging. His coloring wasn't meant to blend into the yellowy-brown of the desert, so he approached the group from behind, as that was his best chance of getting close without being blasted away by any long-range attacks that the Houndour or Mareep might have.

He wasn't sure what the best approach was: to ask politely for a bite of the snake, or to just jump in and try and grab one, and run off before they could react. As he caught up with them, he decided to go with the first option.

He was almost directly behind the group when he piped up in a small voice, //I don't suppose you'd let me in on a little bit of that snake? I don't eat much, I promise.// His voice trembled only a little- he was more than a little afraid to have the attention of both of these creatures- especially the Houndour, a carnivorous predator- on him, but he did his best to hide his nervousness.

The Rattata wasn't the only one whose attention was on the potential food source, but this second scavenger wasn't quite as bold as the rodent was. The grayscale creature circled above and off to the side, watching, and waiting to see if there would be an opportunity for her to grab a little snack.

(This encounter can basically be as short as you want it to be, but I RNG'd it giving it a 35% chance that their group would attract the attention of a scavenger or two, and got a 28, so Blue gets some final visitors.)

The minutes that went by of dragging the snake went by painfully slow. Blue's hands started to ache after only a couple of meters of dragging the corpse. Thankfully, the pokemon assisting her were extremely helpful with this surprisingly fat snake.

The minutes ticked by, and the group was slowly reaching familiar trees and rocks. Blue let out a sigh of relief to herself. During the dragging, the girl kept a watchful eye on Mary. The houndour seemed to be performing fine, as her health was steadily returning to her. It was just the moments when the entire group had to stop when Mary's limbs froze for a few brief seconds. When the dog recovered, the group went back to hauling the seviper.

After a long while of nothing happening, a small pokemon approached. Blue looked up from her hands to stare blankly at it. It was actually kind of cute, despite being a scrawny rodent. She blinked, and tilted her head at the thing.

She wanted to get going, but her hands were getting tired and Mary needed some time to sit for a bit... Maybe they can hang around this creature for a bit.

Blue set down the snake she was dragging and watched as her pokemon slowly did the same. The girl approached the two pokemon, and lightly smiled. She reached out to pet Sasha, and then Mary. Sasha seemed to be fine with this, as it was a normal thing to happen with her human. Mary, however, almost seemed to flinch as she was touched. Blue noticed this, and quickly withdrew her hand.

The dog was probably really shaken up by the whole mess that happened earlier. Blue hoped she would get better after some rest.

Blue didn't seem to notice Sasha break away from the group briefly to tear a couple pieces off the seviper. The sheep tossed the pieces at the ratatta, and went back to her business by the group.

The human looked up at the purple rat, but gave no concern to the seviper meat it had. If anything, the corpse might be lighter now. She just simply waved happily at the rat and turned her attention back to Sasha and Mary.

Minutes passed by of the group just sitting down and catching their breath. The human slowly hoisted herself up, and made her way towards the dead seviper.

She took a deep breath as she yet again grabbed the snake by the neck and started to haul it towards Oasis. Mary bit into the middle of the body and began to drag as well. Sasha was left with biting the tail and dragging the lower half of the body.

(tw: Gore)

It was nice to say that Chuck was fairly surprised when he saw the small girl he housed drag home a big as hell snake. He had gone on a long line of praise at the girl, which had improved Blue's mood a bit.

Now all there was left was to do was to make it into food. Blue had asked for a knife from her boss in order to properly cut up the dead snake.

Blue now sat by the corpse, trying to cut it open. The skin was surprisingly thick and was difficult to get through. The girl let out a small smile of victory as the insides were able to be seen.

Strangely enough, Blue didn't get nauseous at what she was going to have to do. She merely rolled up her sleeves and shooed her pokemon away from the body.

Even if she wasn't sick, Blue couldn't help but cringe as she started to take out the organs inside. Examining the snake anatomy as she went, Blue set the organs she managed to take out to the side.

Sasha felt nauseous at the scene, weirdly enough. The sight of the gore made her stomach churn. Mary was forced to cover the sheep's eyes at points. Pyro, who was released out of his pokemon, seemed to be fairly curious about the whole situation. He didn't know what was happening and why he should feel sick around it.

After what seems to be a half hour, Blue had managed to carefully remove all of the vital organs, and was moving onto removing the bones.

Snakes had a lot of rib bones, so she noticed. After a few minutes of Blue trying to find a neat way to pull out the bones, Chuck strolled by.

"You need help, kid?"

"If you could get rid of this extra stuff, that'd be cool."

Chuck seemed to stare at her blankly until he steadily reached down and poked at the pile. His face scrunched up, but he attempted to dispose of it as Blue worked.

Blue finally found a way to hopefully take the spine and ribs out, although it seemed like it would take a while.

An hour ensued of Blue gingerly grabbing a rib or two and snapping it out of place. It was then when Blue realized how many bones this creature held in its body. She ended up handing a couple to Chuck, who simply laughed and responded with a loud voice. "I can sell these as toothpicks, most likely!"

Blue had chuckled a little bit, but not as much at the man. She continued her work with care.

Finally, the snake was emptied out. Blue didn't even bother with dealing with the head. It was sort of crushed, and didn't provide much meat anyways. The only thing Blue did was attempt to tear the long fangs off of the seviper.

Then Blue's attention went to the tail blade... Could she get some use out of this..? Well, at the very least, she could give it to Chuck to use. The girl took the knife she had been used and reached for the tail. She tried to slice off a chunk of the tail, but it took more time and effort than expected. After a minute of hardship, the tail blade was hers.

The girl gently set the fangs and blade off to the side, noting to herself to grab it later. She needed to cut the seviper up now. Blegh. She turned to Chuck, who was having a grand time watching this child try and turn this snake into decent food.

"Hey, Chuck, would it be possible that you could cook this? I don't think I'd fare well in doing that."

Chuck chuckled. "Oh course. I'd need your dog, though."

"Fine." Blue smiled, and started to try and cut the emptied seviper into small chunks. It would be lying if she said it didn't take a little while.

The meal ended in what Blue would call a success. She didn't... Entirely ruin it, she thought. The girl simply sat and watched Chuck try and cook the seviper meat at the fire. While he did, she fiddled with the fangs and tail blade that was left. It would be odd to use this stuff... But from what she could tell from the last few events, she'd need at least some offensive item. Even keeping a fang for some cases might be helpful. She could help defend Sasha, Mary, Pyro, Fluffy... Yeah. That was a nice thought.

"Hey Chuck, do you want this tail blade?" She called over to the man.

"I already have a knife! Keep it as a good luck charm or something."

"... Okay, thanks!"

After a lot of rolling based on Blue's skills, the tool she used, and the size of the Seviper, the results are as described above! It was mainly the hunting and crafting skills that come into play here. Better results could come from using a tool specific to the work rather than a generic knife and from higher skills. Up to about 5 or 6 packs could have been gained from the Seviper- the loss of about half of the meat could be attributed to the knife not cutting very cleanly or the Seviper's poison-producing glands being improperly handled, spoiling some of the meat. One of the two fangs was lost, perhaps broken into unusable fragments when she tried to remove it.

The Seviper's tail blade could be crafted into a useful weapon or tool, so that's in her inventory under "materials." Same with the remaining fang.

For the skill EXP, just PM me with whichever skill you'd like to her gain in. EDIT: for reference, Bella chose crafting.
