"Well, guess I'll let you out for a bit." Brady released her Cutiefly, watching as it only paused for a moment before flitting around in the field. "Hey! Stay close, I don't need some idiot trying to catch you!" Brady impatiently waved the Pokemon over, which it barely acknowledged, but, at the very least, it tightened it's turns in the air maybe a foot closer to her.
Not exactly satisfied at where her Pokemon was, but certain it wasn't going to listen to any more commands, Brady scanned the fields and sighed, seeing nothing. "They told us bugs swarmed here. Well, I'm seeing nothing." Shaking her head, she still took out one of the special Pokeballs she was supposed to use in this contest. She actually got what this contest was supposed to do, clear out some annoying Pokemon, get some strangers to do it, yeah, she got that.
She got it, but honestly, she wouldn't have actually participated if there wasn't a prize of money. Sure that was selfish but she, and that Cutiefly needed to eat, and she was not going to forge for food every single time. Deciding to move, she begin a walk to a patch of bushes and such. "Come on, stay close to me let's go!" Thankfully the Cutiefly listened, buzzing a few feet above her head.

Brady squinted through the sun's extreme rays, wondering if this was exactly a good idea. The sweat running down her face practically screamed this was a bad idea, she was pretty tired, but general logic stated this was, surprisingly, still a good idea. After all, she needed tougher Pokemon to keep from getting caught by those creepy people, and knew how to get back, simply follow a line of trees she found.
"Thank you, knowledge that came the hell out of nowhere..." She tried to lighten the mood for herself, it wasn't working out. She sighed and wiped the sweat out of her eyes, she needed to hurry up and find a Pokemon before her mood was fried. She stood briefly on her tiptoes, blocking the sun with a hand. A movement of tall grass caught her eye and she went that way, keeping one hand on her Pokeball, she didn't know if this thing might be hostile!

Brady woke up slowly, stretching out her back before opening her bleary eyes, briefly seeing double. Then she shot up straight into a sitting position, still seeing double, but way more panicked. "What...? I don't... Where am I?!" She tried to shoot up to her feet, her sleepy mind not registering the slight curve of the ground. She quickly lost her footing, then laid on the ground, hands over her eyes.
"Alright Brady, you don't know where you are, and you can't remember a thing. But don't freak out. Look around." She crossed her arms afterwards and opened her eyes, craning her neck slowly around to see everything. "Ok, so I'm in a crater... and there's a ton of rocks and... there's a city!" She leaned forward, concentrating, but the city was still there, her eyes were definitely awake. She smiled, the city might give her a chance to think! In an absent mind sort of way, she waved at the air, then saw what she was actually waving at. It was a tiny bug-like Pokemon that flew in frantic circles above her head, before plopping down on her head. "Ok, this just got weirder. How did you get all the way down here?"
The Cutiefly obviously couldn't answer, both out of the fact he was a Pokemon, and tired as could be. The tired Pokemon trembled on Brady's head, tilting his head down to look at her with pleading eyes, as if begging her not to make it fly off onto the hot stones and rocks. He have flown for who knows how long for reasons that, again, he barely understood. Why would he need to look for a human? He didn't know, he just did. And, finally he have found a human, who may be the human, and could stop his flight. Now he just needed rest, surely even a human could understand!

"Oh my God, where's the kid!? Your kid, why'd you let her go anywhere!?" Brady pulled at her hair and gritted her teeth, only growing more and more agitated as the serenely smiling man tried to reassure her that his daughter's fate in the Legendaries would protect her from the shadowy creatures. Brady wanted to shake him, scream that no the Legendaries would not protect his daughter, that if they wanted to help, they would have zapped everyone here out of this hellhole. But that would take too long, so she tried a different approach, "Alright, alright, but I still worry, which prayer center did she go to?" She nodded impatiently as the man went off on a passion fueled tangent, then clapped her hands loudly as she got what she needed. "She's in Castform St?! Got it, thanks! And tell everyone to stay in this building, at least for the night!" She spun on her heel, only paused to give her final warning and sped off, keeping her eyes on the street names.
"No... no... Castform alley, seriously...? Oh! Castform St!" She turned into the street, almost immediately spotting a certain pigtailed figure skipping in the distance. "Kid! What the hell were you thinking?" Even with these words she couldn't but let out a realized laugh as she grabbed and picked up the girl. The girl began babbling about having to go pray until Brady lifted her up to her shoulders and said, "Kid, if I promise to take you to a safe prayer center will you forgive me?" Thankfully the little girl said yes and Brady relaxed, fixing her eyes ahead to the street to the safe area.
Then saw something that almost made her scream. A black beast blocked the way, a constant growl sounding from it. The little girl have spotted it too and Brady began whispering instructions to her before the girl could become frightened. "It's ok sweetheart, it's ok, look I have a plan, see? I'm going to put you down right here, then I'm going to make that thing see me. Once it chases me you run to that street it's in front of, you'll be fine then." Before the girl could protest Brady set her down, and, before her brain could protest as well, ran right in front of the monster. She cupped her mouth and screamed, "Hey! Come and get me ugly!" She took off, hearing a roar, stomping of feet, and thankfully, the barely audible steps of the little girl's slippers. Unfortunately, the stomps grew louder and louder, Brady was definitely sure she would not be able to escape this thing. And yeah, maybe she should just be glad she saved the kid, but honestly, she wanted to stay longer, after all, the Legendaries weren't going to be protecting her group! But just as she thought that, just as the beast took a leap above her and blocked the sky, a light brighter than the sun erupted around her, forced her eyes shut and almost seemed to pull her away from the world.
