Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

May 23rd.

Cass groaned as she slowly pulled herself up from the wreckage of her house again. This always seemed to repeat. Her eye's already gone, her Pokemon's already gone, there's nothing left that she's supposed to lose, as far as she knows. But still, she wakes up in the crushed remains of her former home every time, regardless of where she fell asleep. It was an unfortunate run of things, but she'd learned to deal with it. In fact, she'd even made a little shelter out of it, stocking it with supplies as she went along.

No new bruises, meaning she wasn't in any fights recently. Nice. She brushed herself off, looking around what was left of Vermilion with a sigh. Time for another day in paradise, she mused to herself with a dry chuckle.

With that in mind, she almost stepped outside, jerking her foot back as something hit and stung. Fuck, acid rain again. She cursed under her breath, followed by a sigh. She was stuck here again, and supplies were running a bit low. If she rationed it out, she'd maybe have another... two days? Three if she starved herself a bit. Fun day, it was.

Funny, it wasn't the 15th last time she checked.

Hours passed in silence as she simply watched the rain, nearly falling asleep to the sound of it before a loud crash shook her to attention. Was that the tree again? Third time this week, events were repeating again. Goddamnit. On the bright side, the rain was letting up, giving way to an eternally cloudy sky. Was this what she was meant to do for the rest of her life? Watch as the world around her went to hell, without a single friend to confide in?

...She shook her head, willing away those thoughts. Despair leads to death. Survive another day, someone will find her, right?

The day never came.

Seven years passed in this rhythm. Survive to tomorrow, don't ever look back. Sometimes, things shifted. Vermilion was whole again, yet still empty. Then it all broke. Pokemon thrived in the woods, then dead corpses littered the wilting trees. Nothing was a constant, and Cass had learned to live with that. She was a bona fide survivor by this point. The last time she saw her home, she was sitting inside her little den, head hidden by her hood as she relaxed, content for the moment with a decent stock, one week's worth of supplies. A break was in order. She hummed silently to herself, playing her guitar aimlessly as she thought about her plans for tomorrow.

A loud crack sounded from outside. Not again. She swung the guitar around to her back by the strap, throwing off her hood and running to look outside her little home, making sure it wasn't a rock from the sky again. Last time that happened, she almost got herself killed. But upon looking out, her whole world felt changed.

People.

Cass gasped, practically throwing herself back into her shelter with a wince at the impact she made. Gun, gun, where the fuck's her gun? Just in case these guys are hostile, or less than savory. A moment of panicked searching, then her eye finally caught it. There it is. Loaded, safety off, everything's good. She placed it in a holster, quickly putting it at her hip. Okay, cool. A deep breath, and she's stepping out of the shelter.

And there's a gun pointed at her face.

Well, isn't this splendid?

CASSANDRA LUNA SAITO

25 - FEMALE - PANSEXUAL

Appearance

Cassandra stands at a medium 5'7", generally with a straight posture that demonstrates this. Complementing this, she has a rather slim figure, though she's toned enough to where she doesn't look weak, at least. She has black hair, falling down to just beyond her shoulder blades, countering her much more pale skin. Her left eye (or, what remains) is covered by a firm white fabric bandage, tied around her head. Her right, gray eye is still completely open and there, uncovered.

She tends to wear rather simple clothing, prioritizing comfort over extravagant appearance. Expect black pants and a white shirt, or something similar. However, her getup upon arrival adds a darker green hoodie to her outfit. It's worn more around areas she hasn't ever seen before.

Personality

Cassie is generally calm but sarcastic, wearing a smooth composed mask she's been building for herself for quite a while. But underneath this is where the true Cass lies. Though her snark remains, underneath lies a more anxious girl, who's more of a music fan then she is an authority figure, who's constantly worried she isn't good enough for the world she lives in. She only shows this side of her to people she cares about immensely, or if it's absolutely needed. She has a lot of regret to go though from her time with Team Plasma, sometimes hyperfixating on her own issues and finding it hard to simply let go of her mistakes. This leads to almost depressed tendencies within her, that she doesn't do anything about.

On a similar note, Cassie is rather jumpy at times, stemming from her past working with Plasma, plus Rocket and its constant existence everywhere during her life in Kanto. She's been working on stuffing this down, but the sudden attack of the three Legends made that a bit difficult. This persists in the new world.

Despite all of this, Cass loves music with the burning passion of a million suns. As an escape, and as something to do when nothing else is to be done. Her proficiency with the acoustic guitar is a note of pride in her books. And she knows quite a few songs, some even entering muscle memory for her.

History

Cassandra Luna Saito was born in Castelia City of the Unova region, to a Kantonese-Unovan chef and a former Pokemon Trainer from Alola. Her life was a simple and happy one, growing up with her mother and father, and a Litten from her mother. Her and Blazey were inseparable on their worst days, constantly playing together, finding new nooks and crannies in her city. As much of an ideal childhood this was, Cassie wasn't happy. She could never figure out why, but she simply didn't enjoy life as much as she should have. Some called it growing pains, while others knew what was dragging her down. Wanderlust.

Over the years, she became better and better at hiding this, putting out the image of a happy girl that enjoyed little adventures through the city, the sound of music, and time with her only Pokemon. It was around this time that she began learning how to play the acoustic guitar.

But it wasn't meant to last. Team Plasma, a group of former Trainers hellbent on liberating Pokemon from their "oppressive" trainers caught her mother in an alleyway, and managed to wrench her Pokemon away for good. And now she was left without a livelihood, and without the faithful partners she'd come to love for decades. She withdrew into her own home for days after this. Some said that the woman was never quite the same again. In the meantime, Cass began to work with them as an enforcer of sorts, trying to get closer to the group to find out if she could take her mother's Pokemon back. Unfortunately, she wasn't successful, though she was recognized by the group as a powerful trainer in her own right if given the tools to accomplish things. She never did use Blazey for battle with the group.

To try to offset the sudden lack of income and motivation from Plasma's thievery, the family left Unova and went to Kanto when Cassie was seven years old. But, the girl quickly found that this city that seemed to hold an eternal sunset held no candle to her old home. The girl became a bit of a hermit, preferring to be alone rather than with others, following her mother's example. This, of course, excluded her best friend, her Litten. Years past, with Cassie finally becoming proficient in guitar, and Blazey growing along with the girl. Upon turning 14, she was met with a special surprise. Blazey had evolved! It was now a Torracat, and able to be trusted to protect Cassie out in the wild world. And things were pretty happy with her for a while.

All good things come to end. The apocalypse struck pretty soon after that, and ripped the Pokemon from her life entirely in an incident that Cass doesn't even fully remember. Not only did the girl lose her best friend, but also her left eye. She made it work in the meantime, pulling a bandage over her eye, and keeping on with her constant struggle to stay alive despite the odds.

And then everything stopped.
