Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

This battle is taking place in Crater's outskirts, just outside the wall. This area is usually a farm, but is currently cleared of crops so it is simply an empty field of loose dirt. Stacks of mudbricks, about a foot high and two feet long, have been placed throughout the field to be used as potential cover or potential weapons for the battling Pokemon. Feel free to use your environment to your advantage. Good luck, combatants! The deadline for this round is June 13th.

Flash had no reason to visit Crater City, personally. He admittedly had cousins across Terrene in every city.... Every city that is, except for Crater. The walled city ruled by the man they call Beta had never tempted a member of his family to move there, his family remaining largely in the heavily forested areas. Though, he had two cousins who moved to Oasis, that were... Mildly estranged cousins that he hadn't seen in a very long time, not since they'd moved to Oasis in the wake of their parents' deaths. Anyways, he hadn't originally wished to join this tournament hosted by Crater City. However, he was encouraged by his family. His parents thought it would be a good experience for him, and his cousins and sisters agreed. His younger brothers thought it sounded really fun, mostly Ice. They all wanted to see Flash compete, though Flash only had brought Lightning and Ice with him to Crater City for the sake of this tournament, and they were a part of the spectators for Flash's match.

The battlefield assigned to Flash and his opponent was just outside the walls of Crater City, in an area that appeared to be inactive farmland. At present, it was a field of dirt and grass, with scattered piles of mud bricks scattered about. He figured at best, they'd hinder Heather's movements. He didn't think they were big enough to serve as cover for the bird, who was rather tall in his opinion. That, and Heather's main weapons were his heads and thus the bricks were essentially useless to the flightless bird pokemon. Still, he thought the fact that it was a field helped Heather, though he figured that many of the tournament battlefields were likely fairly flat, as that was the nature of Lions Plains, the home of Crater City.

Flash didn't know anything about his opponent except that his name was apparently Fleet. No surname, and Flash guessed that meant that he had no family. Flash knew nothing about his opponent, and he wouldn't until he got here and saw what pokemon he had. Though, Flash considered the possibility he wouldn't recognize the pokemon. He'd heard that people from all over had come to participate in the tournament, so it could be any type of pokemon. That, and he wasn't sure how he could help Heather. Heather didn't understand a lot of human language, and likely would not understand any suggestions or orders that Flash would try to give. Though, perhaps he could try anyway. Sighing, Flash reached for Heather's pokeball.

Clicking the button, the pokeball opened and a burst of light revealed Heather on the battlefield. Heather shook himself out lightly, not really that used to or comfortable with the feeling of being taken in and out of the pokeball. Still, now his eyes were trained ahead, looking to see when their adversaries would arrive.

Fleet...didn't like Crater. It was a great place, full of cool food and beautiful people around every corner, if a little cold, but that wasn't the problem. What was the problem was that they apparently kept around those those idiots who fell in the world! While hedidnt mind how they made them work, it was irritating how they were treated really nicely, you'd think if they were gonna be servants, they'd be treated the same way.

But he wasn't here for that. He was here to show off how awesome Buddy was. So that's what he was going to do. She was at his heels, subconsciously sensing that he was here for a fight of some kind, though she still grunted as Fleet pushed her forward with his heel when their opponent arrived.

Unlike them, Fleet didn't particularly take in the environment, instead placing himself and Buddy at the most open area of the arena. He cupped his hands over the sides of his mouth before arrogantly shouting, "Heeey! Can We make this quick? I don't got time to waste with a guy like you!"

Flash's first impression of his opponent was.... Well, at a glance he didn't appear that special. He seemed to be around Flash's age, roughly around Flash's height, maybe a little bit taller. He looked dressed for warm weather, though it meant less considering now that Summer had come. The revelation of his pokemon, however, suggested that he was probably from Oasis. You didn't find camels in Lions Plains, Flash was sure, and it certainly didn't look like a creature that belonged in a forest. This... Fleet guy, didn't appear to be threatening. Then he opened his mouth and Flash's eye twitched. Personally, Flash felt like he was the one wasting time here, especially with rude opponents such as this.

He supposed he could oblige, however. "Heather." He called out, and Heather's posture straightened, signifying the bird heard him. The bird at the very least, seemed to have picked up his name. Which was good. While one of Heather's heads kept an eye on Fleet and his camel pokemon, the other head looked over to see Flash's nod. Heather seemed to accurately take it as the sign that it was time to begin this fight. Heather broke into a run, heading straight for the small camel that seemed to be Heather's opponent. The bird was swift on his feet, and personally Heather doubted those stubby legs would allow him to outrun Heather.

As soon as Heather got within reach, one of his heads lunged forward to peck at his foe with his beak.
