Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

Nox
Nox would stand by his statement that he would prefer for his pokemon to act of their own accord if they felt threatened. But he did need to work more with Angel and the nameless ghost. He knew he did but he was still figuring out how. And all this woman was doing was throwing his lack of knowledge in his face, as if she thought he was incapable or stupid. He told himself to ignore her and focus on the battle. "Out of the way, Drifloon. Get into the air." He called but...the Drifloon didn't move. It remained where it was, floating there as if it hadn't heard him. He knew it wasn't simply ignoring him because it would still have tried to get away as the bug attacked once and then again. No, something was wrong and it was preventing the ghost from doing anything.

He had to make a quick decision. As much as he wanted to see the look on the woman's face when she lost, he didn't know how much longer the ghost would be out of commission. And, if he had to guess based on the way it drooped, drifting much closer to the ground that normal, its health and energy were probably pretty low. No, as satisfying as it would be to wait and hope for the best, he couldn't risk it. He didn't know if a ghost could technically die or how far the woman would push to win, but he wouldn't chance it. Instead, he reached for the Drifloon's pokeball and silently withdrew her before turning to the woman, keeping his expression neutral. "Word of advice. If you want people to actually listen to you, maybe you should try not treating them like garbage. I've only been in this world for a few months, I don't know a lot about how to train pokemon. Instead of pointing that out like it makes you better than me, try offering some advice. I'm not stupid and I'd love to have someone help me learn the things I'm still struggling to understand. But I don't want to hear it from someone who's going to treat me as a lesser person for not knowing something." With that, he turned and walked away from the woman, not bothering to stop and hear if she had some reply for his words. Her intent might not have been to make him feel inferior but the way she'd spoke, criticizing but not bothering to give advice or suggestions on how to improve, made him feel like he was doing something wrong and that he was stupid for not knowing how to fix it. He did not like the feeling one bit. If he ever met the woman again, he hoped he had gained some manner of control over the ghost and he could prove to her that he was just as capable as she was.

Victory
As the balloon lay on the ground, immobilized and prone to the attacks of the bug, she watched carefully. Lancet got to the ground and headed towards his target, and the man called out. But the ghost was unable to answer. She was confident that the pokemon hadn't succumbed to too much damage yet, seeing as how it hadn't taken any actual damage. But, she had the upper hand of knowing that the spores released from the bug's body on contact could induce paralysis and sleep. As such, she continued to act, taking advantage of the situation to secure victory against the wild creature.

When the man realized that his pokemon was unable to keep battling, he seemed to decide it wasn't worth the risk of waiting until the drifloon was able to fight once more. He made the decision that this was a loss on his end, and returned the creature to its pokeball. She smirked, keeping her gaze on the paras that had performed brillianty. Arshia would be progressing to the next round, and she was glad for it. In truth, the battle seemed out of their favor, but in the end their strategy paid off. If it hadn't been for the poison and spores, they may not have had the chance to get so far. Such was the conditions of battling against her pokemon. He was well suited to status effects and strategic maneuvers from such.

The man provided some advice, assuming she had been 'treating him like garbage'. The analytical woman had already marked this Nox as a lost cause, one who was too unpredictable and emotionally bound to serve as much use to her. Though he spoke as if desiring advice and coaching of sorts, it seemed he assumed she should just willingly give such comments up front. The world didn't operate in such a fashion. One couldn't expect those of greater knowledge to simply gift it without prompting. She'd simply stated facts and opinions, based on the evidence presented, and yet he expected her to have changed such to pieces of advice? No, this certainly wasn't a man that she would find useful to her future cause.

If she had anything to say, there was no purpose in speaking. The trainer had turned and left as soon as his words were finished, leaving the arena with his words in the air. She cared not for his little speech, each of her comments having been justified in her own mind. If he'd gotten offended by that which she'd said, he would need to reflect and fine-tune his own thought processes. One couldn't proceed successfully through the world without filtering the good information from opinions or insults that should be disregarded. Well, he would either learn that lesson, or be doomed to less than his full potential. Lancet returned to Arshia, feeling tired and worn and ready for a nap. She lowered herself, a hand snaking to her pack as she pulled out some food. It had been specially created for the creature, since it wasn't able to feed naturally off of anything in the immediate vicinity - here or in Oasis Village. She laid out the food for him, and he immediately starting snacking. "Good work out there. You put up an admirable fight and took the win. It seems you're improving." The people who'd been watching started to file out, and she didn't mind. After all, the battle was over. Now she needed to care for her pokemon, and prepare for the next battle tomorrow.
