Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

Dentelle Bois
Quirky Egg Stall
Dentelle recognized the redheaded girl- woman?- that reapproached her, remembering that she had previously come to the stall to purchase a certain yellow mount egg. Most people didn't purchase more than one egg- they were fairly expensive, after all. Still, it wasn't particularly uncommon in and of itself, but to purchase two of the more expensive eggs made it somewhat more unusual. Perhaps looks were deceiving and this girl had a successful business that allowed her to be able to spend thousands of tokens in a single day.

Dentelle's expression was as monotone and unreadable as her resting expression always was as Ri came up to the stall without a greeting. The older woman watched the younger woman's eyes dart across the eggs on the counter before seemingly choosing one at random. Idly, she wondered if the girl always made her decisions that way. At the same time, it didn't quite seem random as the egg the girl pointed to was in the same group as the egg that she had purchased last time.

Unaffected by the lack of social niceties the other expressed (though she did note that it was a change from the last time they had interacted) Dentelle simply stated, "Six hundred and seventy tokens."

Blue yawned as she trekked through the array of vendor stands, each giving out interesting items. As she looked through each one, she could see people coming and going from a certain one. Sasha soon began to wake up in the girl's arms and seemed to struggle in the jacket she was being held in. Blue blinked and calmly set the blue jacket on the ground, allowing her mareep to get out. Once the human put her coat on, she returned to staring at the vendor. Curious, she stepped by.

Eggs. Lots of eggs. Blue's eyes widened in excitement and she immediately turned to smile at her companion pokemon. The mareep at first snorted and didn't seem to care, but she soon found herself being held up to the variety of eggs. "Sashi, you wanna pick one?" Blue murmured, too happy to notice Sasha trying to escape. At last, too tired to make more effort, the small sheep stopped and started to look around. Blue's eyes wavered from egg to egg, too sad she probably didn't have enough money for all of them. She knew what eggs were and she loved babies. All babies deserve homes, right? Then again, how the heck would they fit in the alley in Oasis?

Sasha bleated quietly and Blue turned her head towards a purple egg with darker spots. She shuffled over towards it and read the tag. 'Alternate Defernse,' huh. It seemed like a nice egg, and she could afford it. "Okay, I guess we pick this one... Ma'am, can we have this egg please?" She tried to act calm, but the excitement still rang high in her voice.

((*Silently throws tokens and hugs purple alternate defense eggu* Screw having a good amount of money))

Dentelle Bois
Quirky Egg Stall
Dentelle was rather pleased with the success of her stall thus far; the tokens were piling up in her carefully watched wooden box. This was good, as there were numerous people that these gains were promised to help along in their research and projects.

As valuable as the eggs were to her- even beyond the fact that they were eggs containing delicate, growing, infant Pokemon- was it really any wonder that Dentelle became noticeably protective when a squirming, not-too-happy Pokemon was brought up eye-level and within striking distance of the eggs? The professor leaned forward, looming over the eggs and over Blue and Sasha as the small young girl ooh'd and aww'd over the eggs. Dentelle watched like a hawk for any sign of hostility from the Mareep, ready to intervene bodily at a half-second's notice.

Hatfield the Grotle, Dentelle's constant stall companion, noticed her trainer's obvious distrust and debated whether or not she should rise from her resting position.

However, it seemed Dentelle's protective and defensive reaction was an unnecessary one; the Mareep calmed down and the two of them picked out at egg for purchase. Dentelle squinted her eyes ever so slightly; both the sheep and the girl looked far too young to be trusted to raise an infant from the egg.

But she wasn't here to be a judge of anyone's character or abilities. She was here to earn research money.

"Four hundred and forty tokens." Came her blunt reply; she'd allow Blue to take the egg (and egg's basket, if she liked) once she'd counted out the appropriate number of tokens.

Quirky Egg Stall

Oh what a wonderous day it was! After such a long wait, and entire year to be almost exact, another anniversary fair was here! It had been quite the ride, from all the additions to her family to learning about herself and the world among other things. But here she was, over a year with a solid memory and absolutely happy with who she was becoming. Or maybe, recovering? Either way, it didn't matter because she was in a good place.

And so, of course, she found herself sub-consciously finding her way to the stand with all the eggs. Dual purpose of course - She hadn't seen Dentelle in quite a while! Once the majority of her questions after arriving in Ashfield were answered, she had started visiting the professor less and less, in order to let her focus more on her research, and allow herself to focus on her own pokemon and life. Sure, she still hunted Dentelle down whenever she had questions about pokemon or just wanted to chat with her, but it had truly been quite a bit.

Quite a bit meaning over 6 days, but that was a long time for Shae.

So she approached the stand, one of the first people she could remember standing there, tending to the eggs and another customer. She busied herself, looking over the beautiful promises of new life, each one growing a new soul that would join the world once it was nurtured and ready. Oh, she knew she shouldn't get more pokemon. It was certainly a hassle trying to spend time with all of them, not to mention training. But for her new mission in life to be a success, she needed a variety of wonderful pokemon. And honestly, she couldn't resist the temptation of caring for another baby.

Once the woman was finished with her customer, Shae waved at greeted her. "Good afternoon Dentelle! It's been a while. It's so good to see you!" Given the stand and eggs between them, she didn't even try to reach across to hug her. Besides, she got the feeling the professor wasn't the biggest fans of her overbearing physical contact. "Another year is here, and I'm back to see what you've got for sale." She winked, as her gaze washed over the eggs that were left, glad to get the feeling many of the ones that had been brought were already going to good homes.

Her eyes fell over a pair of eyes, which looked oh so beautiful in their lighter colors. There were others that could match, sure, but these two seemed different than the others. "Oh, these are so pretty! And I definitely want to help the cause." She leaned in and inspected the pink and the yellow eggs more carefully, soaking in the details of each. It was so exciting, seeing the eggs and having no idea what kind of amazing creature waited inside, growing until it was big enough to join the world. If she could, she'd take them all and be the greatest mom she could be.

But, she couldn't and she knew she should try to stick to one.

It was likely that yet again, she'd spend any and all of her extra tokens towards getting an egg and supporting the woman's research. Both were important causes that she was absolutley more than happy to pay towards, but first she had to decide on an egg. After a couple minutes of inner debate, along with any other comments the professor had to offer, she would eventually make her choice. "Okay, I'll take this yellow one from... Fairy Island? Oh, sounds so wonderful!" She pulled out her pouch of tokens and opened the drawstring, carefully pulling out and stacking tokens, paying however much was required.

Once payment and farewells were exchanged - she knew that Dentelle would need to be left alone to deal with other customers - Shae would carefully lift the basket with the yellow Fairy Island egg, passing a final smile to the woman before turning away from the stand, ready to explore the other things this year's fair had to offer to them. Not to mention, she needed to find a place to set up for later.

Shae will finally be using her half-price voucher on this eggo ~~ (Which I think we'd decided, with event item, will only adjust 25% off? So this should cost 750 ~~)

Sonia had been standing by the stall for a while, eyeing each egg curiously, then getting a little disheartened at their prices. Yes, it made a lot of sense for the eggs to be expensive, after all they would want to make sure the buyer would fully commit to looking after a baby Pokémon! But this made things difficult for someone like her who, admittedly, wanted all of them.

Kaname was sitting beside her, patiently awaiting her decision, even if deep down he was wondering why she even needed another Pokémon when she had him. But he had to respect her choices. His personal favorite were two eggs that looked rather familiar and had this pleasant feeling about them... He overheard some humans mentioning "Fairy Island". What a wonderful place that had to be!
br> After spending enough time in front of the stall, Sonia couldn't help but notice that some of the cheap eggs were not getting so much attention... She looked at the three brown eggs, thinking about the poor Pokémon inside that nobody seemed to want. Poor babies! She grabbed the closest one and held it close to her chest, gently patting the top as she spoke to the lady in charge. "I want this one, please!"

Still holding on to her egg of choice, the young trainer started preparing the coins needed for purchase. "Ahh, but it takes most of my money..." she added in a whisper.
An overlooked Pokémon egg for Sonia, please~!

Dentelle Bois
Quirky Egg Stall
Things were beginning to wind down at the fair; though Dentelle found that she was still left with many eggs, she was pleased with the results of the sale. However, it seemed like the pace was picking up again- those who had been here and there at the fair, trying to decide what to spend their tokens on, were coming back around, making their last minute purchases.

One of the customers that approached was a familiar face... Shae. She had met the woman many months ago, apparently shortly after Shae had appeared in Terrene. Since then, Shae had settled into Ashfield far better than most immigrants do, thoroughly becoming a part of the community. Shae had even purchased an egg from her at last year's fair.

"Good afternoon." She replied in a monotone, but cordial enough, tone. As Shae looked over the eggs and made a choice, a slight smile turned up the edges of Dentelle's lips. "Excellent- your price is 750 tokens."

The exchange was completed quickly and easily, and Dentelle gave a nod of farewell as Shae took the purchased egg and went on her way.

Immediately after, another young woman stepped up and spoke up, laying claim to an egg at the other end of the spectrum, one of the brown-grey overpopulated eggs.

"The cost is 250," Dentelle informed her, "And you may take the egg's basket with you if you choose."

She watched the pale woman count out the much smaller amount of tokens, and once sure that the correct price had been paid, gave an approving nod, silent permission to take the egg and go.

Granny walked around the Anniversary Fair, her arms free for once. Poralaeeyuu was still in her pokeball, resting from the early scuffle she had been in. She wondered if her Pokemon was alright, she seemed to be panicky when she last interacted with her. At least they had managed to catch a bug for the contest, though she doubted that she would be able to get anymore. Still, who knew? Perhaps something interesting would happen.

Her gaze fell on a strange sight and she stopped. Eggs. Eggs of different colors were sitting around in baskets in a stall run by a woman. She tilted her head curiously as she made her way to the stall. "Hm... What's this?" she murmured as she took a look at the wares. There was just so many of them, she wondered if they needed a good home or if they were just sold to be eaten. ...Did they even need a good home? How did she know that? A frown crossed her face as she tried to remember, but couldn't. Perhaps-

Her gaze fell on a pair of eggs, two yellow ones sitting in the same basket together. Her eyebrows shot up in surprise. It seemed as though they were to be bought together, something that touched her deep inside. Family should never be parted, she thought as she pointed to the basket with the yellow eggs. "May I have this one, please?" she asked.

After the disastrous attempt to do something "fun," all Shadow wanted was to make sure that her Pokemon were safe. As she roamed the fairgrounds, she wondered if there was something else that was good. The food was great, bar the bugs, but she had no idea if there was anything worth noting, other than the joust. Freaking joust.

Shaking her head, she glanced back to see her army of Pokemon with her. ...Well, most of them. "Hyper?" Shadow said worriedly as her brows furrowed. Where was the little scamp? "Come on guys, let's look for Hyper." Heaving a sigh, she and her Pokemon began to look around for the Rockruff.

He wasn't near any of the food stalls, which was surprising. Instead she found him at...an egg shop? The puppy was whining and pawing at the bottom of the stall as she approached him. "There you are! What-" She blinked in surprise, as if she noticed the eggs for the first time. "...Huh." Eyes scanning the wares, she tried to appear disinterested as she took note of each one of them.

There were several brown eggs that were appealing, though. In the end, she gave up and pointed to one of the brown eggs, saying something about being a pest. "Can I have that one?" she asked as she looked at Dentelle.

(One brown pest egg for Shadow please!)

Dentelle Bois
Quirky Egg Stall
As the hours passed, more and more of her eggs were disappearing as the fair-goers stopped by and purchased these that she sold. Already it seemed like her sales wee increased from the year before. Ideally, all of them would be sold and off to sufficient homes. But she was a practical woman, and fully understood that each sale was beneficial in itself, aiding the research on breeding.

So when the somewhat more aged woman stepped up, curiously inspecting her wares, she was prepared to answer any question needed to inform the woman of that which she might look to purchase. But aside from a side comment to herself, it didn't seem like she had any questions, as she understood what this was. As her eyes gazed over the selection open to her, Dentelle simply remained silently, waiting to see what she would choose.

The woman's eyes fell over the remaining twin eggs, the toned yellow eggs resting together in the well woven basket provided. "Of course. They come together, and cost 880 tokens." She waited patiently with level eyes until the tokens were presented, counting them out before shuffling them over to be stored with the rest of her successful sales. She waved a hand to the basket bought. "You may take the basket as well, if you wish."

Just as the woman left, a little puppy came up to her stall, unattended and whining at her eggs. She wasn't exactly pleased, a wild and unattended pokemon providing a potential threat to the gentle eggs resting on her stand, but it wasn't long before his trainer appeared. Good. She had no interest in dealing with him herself if her were to get to rowdy with the eggs she was trying to sell. Wasn't any good if the eggs got broken.

"The cost is 250," Dentelle informed her, "And you may take the egg's basket with you if you choose."

The young woman with the mask would provide the tokens needed, and she would simply nod as she confirmed the amount, lilting a hand towards the basket to motion that she could taken it. The transaction was complete, so there was no need to pester her further.

Wanting Another Obedient Creature
Strong strides pushed the small woman through the crowd, gracefully dodging around the masses flopping and bumping aimlessly into one another as they wandered around the fair. There was a keen difference between simply walking aimlessly and investigating the many things that this 'fair' seemed to offer. She, for one, appreciated the opportunity to get a free ride to this large city. If the deal hadn't come with an agreement to return with them, she would consider staying here.

But alas, the two days for the fair was all she could be here. Arshia was a woman of her word, and she couldn't simply break that. Nonetheless, she headed to her destination. She'd already scoured the many things around, from all the stands to performances, to the joust, which her little creature had proudly come out triumphant in. Now she headed to the booth she'd seen before, selling the eggs of creatures like the two she possessed with the strange spherical devices in her pouch.

Emerging from the people, many of whom were taller than her, she walked up to the stand, the eggs remaining resting beside the woman's setup. She was lean and serious looking, seeming like someone who could have comparable intelligence and logical thought, at first appraisal. She supposed she'd learn more as they exchanged words for business, but wasn't going to be such a nuisance as to stick around asking questions. She had a stand to run.

While Gem was someone who would prefer to get the best, highest potential egg, she was not a wealthy woman. She was still new to this world, navigating the intricacies of politics within Oasis (or what they might refer to as a social or political structure, that was) and scraping by merely via convincing the locals that she was a native citizen to Terrene, from the village of Forest Beach. It had been tricky to say the least, but all it took was one encounter with a merchant in from out of town to collect the information she needed to concoct the story. And with that trickiness did not come the funds for such expensive purchases.

She stopped in front of the stand, careful, studious eyes gazing over the selection. It was clear which ones were the better ones, the brighter, vibrant colors mostly missing from the collection she'd seen the day before. But as they were likely the ones that costed the most, she didn't dwell on the fact. Her eyes ended on a couple brown, identical eggs. They were a lighter brown main color, with darker brown spots decorating the shell. Yes, these seemed to be insignificant. But wait, the tag read a rather intriguing label. Bred to know moves they wouldn't otherwise.

She smirked.

"Hello. I'd like to purchase that brown one, please." She pointed to one of the two, choosing one rather randomly as they both looked pretty much the same. Arshia knew no solid knowledge on the subject of breeding or pokemon eggs, so even if she studied them more intensely, she would not be able to glean any further information from them. The price was provided, and she pulled out the tokens from her pouch, counting out quickly and precisely the amount requested, glad to see she still had many left over. She pushed them over to the woman, waiting for the signal to take the basket holding the egg she had now purchased.

Victor was passing through the stalls after purchasing his supplies. He had tokens left over and really couldn't think of anything else he needed. Coming across an egg vender, he thought of Sonia. This is where she must have bought hers. Of course, he told himself he shouldn't get one, but seeing them in person changed his mind.

Seeing that a lot of the eggs were too expensive for him, he just went with one of the cheapest he could get. It didn't matter to him what hatched from the egg. Another pokemon companion was the only thing he was concerned with.

"Hey," he greeted awkwardly to the vendor. "I'm interested in purchasing the 'Not Too Exciting' egg," he stated. "I have the full amount ready here," he said pulling out the tokens from his bag.

Dentelle Bois
Quirky Egg Stall
Dentelle was beginning to prepare for her exit from the fair; things were slowing down, at least at the vendors, with much of the crowd migrating to enjoy their last hours eating fair food or enjoying the antics of the various performers. Still, there was always a crowd, so she wouldn't completely pack up until nightfall.

Eventually, a woman with a strong air of confidence stepped from the sea of people and approached her stall with purpose; Dentelle waited silently, watching the other woman. Soon enough, the woman's gaze settled on a particular egg. As Dentelle expected, the woman then spoke, pointing out the egg that she had smirked at.

"That one will cost two hundred and fifty tokens." Once the appropriate coinage was counted out and handed over, Dentelle would give Arshia a nod and say, "You may take the egg and its basket."

The final customer of the night was a young man. Because the crowd was thinning, Dentelle saw him coming from a ways off. At first, it didn't seem like he was interested- he seemed to be wandering aimlessly. But as his eyes caught on the eggs, his direction changed and he headed toward her stall.

He seemed to make up his mind fairly quickly, for which Dentelle was glad. The sale had been successful, but things were winding down and she was eager to get back to her regular research, after dividing out the proceeds of this sale to her fellow researchers and scientists, of course.

"Four hundred fourty." She stated simply when Victor made his selection. The exchange was quick, and the tokens disappeared in the blink of an eye. Victor was left to gather the egg and the basket and enjoy the rest of the fair elsewhere as Dentelle resumed clean-up and take-down of her stall.

(250 -> overlooked egg for Arshia! 440 -> not too exciting egg for Victor! I will edit these indexes shortly!)
