Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

Liz had been in Ashfield for about two weeks now, still recovering from her injuries when she'd first arrived through the portal. But she was growing stronger each day and had taken to running small errands for the middle aged couple that had taken her in such as picking up supplies from the Ashfield market. Liz rose early feeling as though she'd always been an early riser and had breakfast with Joyce and Roger, the couple she was staying with. As Roger departed to spend his day on the hunt, Liz too departed heading down the main road further into town.

Hiro sat perched on Liz's good shoulder. The girl's left arm was secured comfortably in a sling and beneath the black, now sleeveless, shirt she wore one could see the linen bandage that was tightly bound around her injured shoulder. She also wore the navy blue cargo pants and combat boots that's she'd been wearing when she'd come through the portal. They'd been recently patched up by Joyce and while the former nurse had offered Liz handmade clothing, the girl had opted to continue wearing her former attire, finding it oddly comforting.

Her light, brownish hair was pulled back in a loose knot and she had her dog tags hanging freely around her neck. She wore no other accessories or adornments and walked at a casual pace down the well worn path. The sun above shone down brightly and the heat was slowly increasing. Hiro looked ahead excitedly. Before he used to be nervous venturing out passed his home but the young psychic seemed to pick up on Liz's own eagerness to be out of the house.

"What get today?" Hiro asked his mental voice full of childlike energy. Liz smirked a little and flicked her gaze sideways though she could only partly see the feline via her peripherals in his current position.

"Well let's see. Joyce said she was low on, skiddo milk, ducklett eggs, and bread." Liz stated aloud reading off the mental list she had. The girl paused a moment and made a face again trying to look at Hiro and failing. "You know you could've just read my thoughts to get that." Liz told him with a chuckle.

"But Hiro like Liz voice!" Hiro cooed with a coy giggle. Liz laughed as well and shook her head. Hiro was quite the sweetheart and Liz was glad of the young feline's companionship. She reached up and scritched his chin as they made their way into the marketplace.

Sonia enjoyed her trips to the market as much as she enjoyed her job in general. Looking after children was lots of fun and really rather easy when she could rely on her Pokémon for help. She found lots of joy in reading for them or telling stories about her adventures or simply playing, although her young Rattata, Bebe, was the one who enjoyed children's games the most. Even cleaning and cooking were tasks Sonia did with a huge smile. They made her feel important and needed and after being tossed into an unknown world, this feeling of purpose was really valuable.

As she was heading to the market, she was humming cheerfully. The children stayed at home, with the oldest sibling, Katie, looking after them alongside Sonia's most trusted Pokémon, Kaname. The trainer wasn't fond of leaving Kaname behind, but it was only for a short while and she knew he wouldn't mind. Bebe was the one accompanying her instead, running along on the woman's side. When Sonia wasn't traveling or venturing into the forest, she often dressed in more fancy clothes. They weren't very practical, but they made her feel pretty, so she felt like they were worth buying. And so, this day she was wearing a blue circle skirt and tight fit black and white striped blouse. With her long black hair tied in a ponytail and a shopping bag in her hands, she was skipping ahead.

"Another beautiful day, isn't it, Bebe?" she called out to her energetic Rattata, who had gone up ahead, wiggling her nose and approaching strangers in search of excitement. Although in a few months Bebe would be having her first birthday, Sonia was still adjusting to seeing her as more than a child.

Being unable to answer, Bebe said nothing, but her joyful smile was enough of a response to Sonia. The woman really loved peaceful days like this one.

The market was fairly lively, although not crowded. Sonia already had her eyes set on a stand that sold delicious food straight from a farm. She and Bebe approached it, taking a look at the goods they were already familiar with (Bebe demanded to be picked up first, as she was too short to see what was on the top of the counter). Sonia's usual smile dropped slightly as she noticed something.

"Ah, is that the only bottle of Skiddo milk?" she asked the merchant with hope in her voice, but the woman nodded.

"We sold most of them early in the morning. I'm afraid It will be the last one for today, miss."

It looked to be a pretty busy day in the marketplace. Though the morning had only just begun to wan several people were already out and about. This was her first time into the market alone and really only her second trip at all and neither of her previous trips had been for the same things. She still wasn't sure what the usual routine entailed yet for most people in town. With folks bustling about, the girl had to be careful not to let her arm get jostled and Hiro had grip what he could of her head and shoulder a bit more tightly. Joyce had told her the only farmer that provided the milk and eggs she required liked to setup a little ways out so as to not be too overwhelmed, such items were quite popular after all.

"Where was this stall again?" Liz inquired aloud partly talking to herself and to Hiro. A brief, fuzzy image of the vender's preferred location seeped into her thoughts and the girl paused a moment and rubbed her brow wincing a little. "Whoa what was that?" She asked and tried to give Hiro a sideways look.

"Location!" Hiro said beaming proudly. The little psychic hadn't done much beyond projecting simple words and phrases to Liz and this was the first time he'd attempted something a little more detailed like the image. It was drawn from his own memory from the many times he and his mother had come into town to do their weekly shopping. Liz massaged her forehead a little some more, the image imprint giving her a bit of a headache. Hiro'd have to work on that some more, he'd used a little too much psychic energy to thrust the image upon his new trainer causing the mild headache. Still at least Liz now knew better what she was looking for.

"Oh okay, next time a little more gently please?" Liz said with a faint smile as she reached up and patted Hiro's leg. She turned in the direction of the stall and carefully passed through the crowd. Ahead she could see the woman from Hiro's image speaking with a dark haired girl who seemed to be gesturing to a lone bottle of milk set amongst the merchant's other goods. Liz paused glancing around at the rest of the items in the stall, she also saw no other milk bottles and frowned. She caught the tail end of the conversation between the merchant and the dark haired girl.

"...I'm afraid it will be the last one for today, miss." Liz's face fell as she realized the issue and gave a small but audible sigh.

"Oh that's a shame." She said loud enough to be heard by the others but was speaking mostly to herself. Hiro tilted his head to the side picking up on Liz's disappointed tone. He patted her head trying to be reassuring, but mostly just caused Liz to giggle a little since he was really just brushing his tiny paw against her ear which tickled.

"Hey, hey, easy that tickles." Liz chuckled as she gently brushed Hiro's paw back. She approached the stand with a faint grin still on her features. Well at least it looked like they still had some ducklett eggs available. She perused the other goods displayed while waiting for the other two to finish, not wanting to interrupt. She wasn't going to try and haggle for the milk as the other girl had gotten there first. Hopefully someone else might have some variation, gogoat milk or perhaps even some rarer moomoo milk, though both were harder to find in this region than the skiddo milk. But if not, Joyce still had a small amount on hand, thus it wasn't a pressing need.

The sight of a single milk bottle, paired with the merchant's information, disappointed Sonia. She was after this specific kind of milk, but she always felt bad taking the last item of anything. After all, what if somebody needed it? What if somebody had a child that could only drink this due to allergies of some kind or if it was their favorite and they really wanted it after a rough day? This kind of thoughts filled her when making such decisions because the last thing Sonia wanted was to put someone in a bad situation for her own personal gain. She couldn't just be so selfish and take the last bottle of milk!

At the sound of a female voice nearby, expressing disappointment in today's stock of milk, Sonia froze in place and looked over her shoulder. She was used to crowds in these parts, so she didn't notice the other woman until she spoke up. They appeared to be around the same age and height, letting Sonia immediately see the opportunity to make friends. Especially considering the fact that this other girl had a cute cat Pokémon sitting on her shoulder. Bebe shifted in Sonia's embrace, raising her head higher to take a better look at the other Pokémon. She hadn't had the best experiences with feline Pokémon, but that fact alone wasn't enough to make her any less curious.

Even though the other woman proceeded to tease her small friend playfully right after that comment, Sonia stepped back, making room for her to grab the bottle of Skiddo milk.

"Oh, please go ahead! I don't actually want it, I can buy something else," Sonia invited to help herself with a motion of her hand. Her face beamed with a big smile as though the idea of giving up the last of bottle of milk for the same of a stranger filled her with joy.

The girl hadn't intended to interrupt but that of course was now moot point. Liz glanced from the milk back to Sonia, her gaze brightening a little. While she knew the milk wasn't exactly a pressing need, she didn't want to disappoint Joyce and return empty handed. Of course the girl had a feeling Joyce wouldn't care in the slightest, but Liz still felt deeply indebted to the middle aged couple. Hiro gazed down curiously at purple rodent and his own interest was piqued. He waved eagerly to the rattata, more than happy to make a new friend. Liz gave Sonia a soft smile and nodded.

"Are you sure? It's on the list but it's not an emergency." Liz informed Sonia happy to accept her offer but not if the other girl was simply being polite when she really did need it. But Liz figured she wouldn't say such unless she really meant it.

"Hi mouse!" Hiro called warmly to the little rattata, leaning forward to get a better look at the rodent in Sonia's grasp. He looked over at Sonia too eyes widening a little before glancing sideways at Liz. He'd not spoken psychically much with other people besides Liz and Joyce. In fact Liz was the first human he'd ever spoken to psychically, Joyce was secondary. Touching new minds was exciting but taxing for the young kitten. Plus some people didn't like it, and Liz had told him he shouldn't read people's thoughts without permission first, as it was impolite. Hiro waved at Sonia a little more shyly now as he was uncertain what to do.

"Liz? Say hi?" He decided asking Liz if it was okay to talk to the newcomer was the best course of action as his big purple eyes danced between the girl and rat. Liz raised a brow and glanced at Hiro slightly confused at first. Hiro was still learning when it came to mental communication thus only used simple words and sometimes short sentences. She looked back at Sonia then grinned in understanding.

"Oh I see. Hiro here," Liz gestured to the little espurr, "Would like to know if it's okay if he speaks to you, psychically." Liz explained reaching up to gently rub the kitten's ears, proud of his self-discipline. "Oh and I'm Liz, by the way. It's nice to meet you two." She added giving the purple rodent a friendly nod of greeting as well.
