Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new universe, this new world, and give it purpose. (Our site is best viewed in Firefox or Chrome.)

Events

The biggest event of the
season- of the year, even- is the Anniversary Fair! We also have a lore contest for the month of November, and our plot events are still going strong.

Season

Autumn will be here until
December. All of Terrene is cooling by degrees; those in Ashfield scarcely notice because it never truly gets cold there, though they will notice the decreased rains and humidity. Winds pick up, particularly in the southern areas. Ghost types are more common this season.

[ This final battle will be a 1v1v1. Post order is especially important to pay attention to this round; however, in case of inactivity, a player may be skipped if they do not reply within three days, and thereafter do not need to be waited upon unless they return to the battle. Skipped turns are forfeit; you cannot write in attacks or defenses for the turns you were skipped (all attacks aimed at your Pokemon will hit). This round will last significantly longer than the other rounds to accommodate for the fact that there are more individuals involved; the round will end August 23rd at 11:59 cbox time. ]

The final round of the tournament is taking place right in front of the city, in front of southern entrance through the outer wall. It is an empty dirty patch, with only sparse, stubby grasses growing on it due to how frequently the ground is traveled over. It is a relatively cool day for mid-summer; still quite warm, of course, but with a moist and cooling breeze. It has begun to drizzle ever so slightly; it will begin to pick up into a steady but light rain as the battle starts, and will make for a damp and muddy battle. The sun still shines strongly through the thin layer of rain clouds, illuminating and warming the battlers and their humans. A decent-sized crowd has gathered to watch the culmination of this event; they are eager for a good, competitive battle. Good luck, combatants!

Aimess and Goodstuffs were just as thirsty for battle as the crowds, even if Goodstuffs didn't like being wet very much. She pressed herself up against Aimess' leg for the best shelter from the rain she could get until her opponents got here. She was gonna obliterate them with her secret tech! Oh ho ho... Any flying-types would never see her ice punch coming! Never! And in that last battle, wow! Her super awesome bide technique had worked really well!

Goodstuffs was so excited that she didn't even realize she was vibrating, though Aimess was very aware. They had to admit that their Stufful's gusto was contagious- they found themselves tapping their foot impatiently and grinning so widely it hurt a little bit. They waved to the crowd a bit to pass the time, not as boisterously as they would to a friend, but not in a timid fashion, either.

Goodstuffs (Stufful): 100% health, no status conditions. Drizzled upon.

((I'll go first in the battle I guess?))

Aimess vs Andrew vs Shae

[OOC: /stumbles in late]

Shae had been so proud and happy when Mar took to the second win of the tournament. Battling was so fun and invigorating to her, when there was no looming danger or threats to herself or any innocent pokemon. Her legs pushed forward as she half-walked, half-ran out of the city. The next round of the tournament was taking place just outside Crater, and it was confirmed as she walked past the wall and noticed the gathered crowd, as well as the person standing separate from them, a cute little pokemon at their side.

She'd thought long and hard on who to use for this battle. And in truth? She hadn't really landed on a firm decision, even know as she headed to start the battle. Mar and Kay were the most experienced, always her default pokemon whenever there was fighting to be had, but they'd fought in round 1 & 2 of this tournament. So a part of her wanted to give another pokemon the chance to prove themselves in this friendly battle. Then again, Kay had just learned an amazing new move as well, and she was really excited to see how it would do in battle.

Still, in the end, she had to make a decision. She walked to her place on the field, noting this was different than the others. Where there had been two spots, designated for two people, this one had three. Right, someone had mentioned to her that due to the odd numbers, the finals were a 1v1v1 battle. How exciting! She noticed the trainer waving their hand at the crowd, and waved at them to grab their attention. "Oh, hello! I'm Shae, it's nice to meet you. I'm excited to see what your pokemon can do! She smiled brilliantly, hand passing to her belt to get a pokeball.

It was time. In the last minute decision, she pulled the pokeball from her belt and raised it up, a second of hesitation at the choice. Was this the right decision? She had to believe it was. Besides, it wasn't just about winning, much as she'd like to. It was about the experience. And she wanted him to get much stronger, like he seemed to want to do himself. Clicking the device, the red light poured out, the little grey caterpillar appearing in front of her. Seb turned his head and crawled over to her, butting his head against her leg.

She chuckled. It wasn't really the time, but their other opponent hadn't arrived yet, so it would hurt to pet him before battle. She bent her legs, sitting back on her ankles and carefully not to hit the scatterbug with her knees, and placed a gentle hand on his head while she waited for the battle to begin. He was ready. She believed in him, and his ability to win if he gave it his all. Unfortunately though, there was no telling what the others would do.

He was there before the other show up, hiding within the crowd to listen on their thoughts and to see his opponents before they see him. When both of them finally showed up, he took a step away from the crowd to his "corner" in the triangle. With pokedex in hand, he give both of his fellow trainers a nod while scanning their pokemon, an unfair advantage but one he wouldn't give up.

With a small smirk, he called out Gavivi and released her from the ball. The small mankey let out a screech to announce her arrive to the group, already staring down the other two pokemon. She was ready to fight and nothing is going to stop her from winning this battle!

Aimess had been having trouble restraining their pokemon even as Seb was sent out- Goodstuffs was ready to rumble, and she didn't understand why she couldn't lay into the bug already. Didn't another pokemon appearing mean a battle? Needless to say, she was quite confused when another person with a pokemon appeared. Which one was she supposed to attack?

Aimess noticed her confusion, and, with a small chuckle at their pokemon's dopiness, they pointed at Gavivi. "Tackle!" They figured it would be best to take out the biggest threat first- Goodstuffs was weak to fighting attacks, so it wouldn't work out very well if a Mankey were to sneak up while she was fighting something else.

Goodstuffs nodded, waggling her tail as she crouched to charge at Gavivi. Soon enough, she was barreling with wild and reckless abandon towards the other fighting-type. "//I'm gonna mess you up!//" She meant to sound fierce, she really did, but her tone came off as more playful. Ugh! This was why she needed to evolve!

Aimess vs Andrew vs Shae

The third opponent appeared, another stranger that she was happy to meet. But before any introductions could be continued (her original greetings having been left unanswered as well, leaving her feeling a little awkward) the battle was commenced, the same person who seemingly ignored her words starting the fight. The little cub marched off at their command, running towards the really small monkey to perform the tackle.

While she hadn't seen this specific pokemon, she knew a toddler when she saw one, her lips tightening into a hard line. It seemed odd to enter such a young pokemon into such a fight, but then, this was a safe time to do it. And the babies had to learn how to fight some way, so she brushed it off without too much thought. This young man had clearly won the first two rounds, so she wouldn't underestimate his strategies so foolishly.

"Seb, wait for the moment and use string shot on the both of them." Her lips curled into a soft smile, voice low so as not to draw too much attention to herself, too quiet to be heard and understood by her competitors. Seb waited a moment, until the stuffel was about to clash with the mankey, and released his string, aiming primarily for the monkey, but adjusting to include the bear as well.

((IT'S BEEN 3 DAYS))

Goodstuffs took pleasure in the feeling of a good impact when her body slammed into Gavivi's. In fact, it was such a good tackle that its sent the both of them flying, and the string shot aimed at Gavivi mostly tangled up Goodstuffs instead. She squeaked in surprise, thrashing about to try and get the strings off. It wasn't working! Why wasn't it working?! She would give that Scatterbug a real beating when she got around to it! If she could move far enough with all this sticky stuff on her...

Aimess had failed to consider the possibility of a string shot. They growled under their breath at this development- They figured the only way to get the stuff off would be for Goodstuffs to run in a blind rage, like in the attacking bit of a bide. The string would probably snap. But for now, they didn't think she could handle two pokemon attacking her. "Leer, then tackle the Mankey again!"

Goodstuffs obliged, giving her nastiest look at Gavivi before tripping and stumbling towards her, though at a commendable rate. She'd probably just punch her.

Goodstuffs: 100% health, no status conditions. -2 speed. Using leer and tackle on Gavivi.

Aimess vs Andrew vs Shae

[OOC: RIP GAVIVI]

Shae watched as both of the attacks landed - the mankey apparently hesitating a bit too long on launching its own counter attack on the stuffel. The bear slammed into the toddler without any interference, which was quickly followed up with Seb's string entangling the tough fighter and sticking to its fur. She smirked as the pokemon wiggled in it, clearly discontent with the sticky string around it. If they could slow it down enough, it would open some great opportunities with dodging and using stun spore to gain a great advantage.

Goodstuffs followed her trainers orders to the T, and the dark-skinned woman was glad they seemed focused on the monkey still. It wasn't likely that the young pokemon would last long in battle, and as the bear glared it down before preparing to tackle, she knew where her priorities needed to be. With one damaged and the other untouched aside from being slowed down, her target was clear. "String shot on the bear once more, then close in for a tackle." She issued the command, the anticipation about the battle causing her to practically hop in place with excitement.

Seb was ready to battle, knowing he'd trained a lot and was much good fighter. But then, he was thinking about how many pets the woman would owe him after all this effort he was putting in. It was one thing if they were in danger - though she usually relied on the 2 fiercer fighters of the group most of the time - but this didn't feel the same. It felt more like training, like they weren't fighting for survival but instead for sport. He didn't appreciate the amount of effort needed for such a casual thing, but obeyed nonetheless. He wanted to prove he was strong, yes.

He whipped together more string and shot it off as the bear attempted to crash into the mankey once again, hoping that he could yet again wrap them both in the sticky stuff. Then, his little spiky feet started moving quickly, pushing him forward. He hopped in the air, curling his head and doing a somersault across the dirt - the pokemon was not known for it's speed, so they'd developed this hop and roll strategy to help him move more quickly. Coming out of the roll, he hopped in the air once more, attempting to crash his body into the stuffel.

"Damn it, got a little sloppy" Andrew cursed under his breath, his thoughts cause poor Gavivi to be hit by the small bear. Now the poor thing was hurt and cover in some silk slowing her down. He need to focus and help her battle against the two ganging up on her. Luckily he noticed the movement of the bug this time, a small plan forming in his mind. "Gavivi, dodge to the left! Kick that bear at the bug!"

The voice of her adopted father snap the young mankey out of her pain induce daze, following his commands. With the bear now in between her and the bug, she sent out her own Leer before she attempted to send it away with a Low Kick. No matter is she fail or not, she moved away as soon as the kick was finished like her Daddy taught her to. She then tried to focus and Meditate to help her get stronger.

She will not give up.

While it didn't do much damage, the low kick sent Goodstuffs rolling towards Seb, as intended. A bit of the string between her forepaws was severed, though. His string shot, for the most part, flew right over her, though a little did get stuck to her ears. With a shriek of outrage, she got to her paws, only to be hit by Seb's tackle. She rounded on him, hissing and leering. How dare this little- little--!

"Goodstuffs! Bi-" Aimess cut off their word as soon as they realized their words wouldn't reach their frustrated little pokemon, who was already launching herself at the Scatterbug. She thought this was between her and the Mankey, but no! This stupid bug had to knock into her! It barely even hurt, but still!

Goodstuffs: 70% health (thank you fluffy,) no status conditions, -2 speed. Using leer and tackle on Seb now.

Aimess vs Andrew vs Shae

There they were. The young man kicked into gear and started issuing commands to the toddler monkey who was... admittedly more strong than she would have thought. She figured he'd have some good moves up his sleeve with that mankey, given the fact that is was so young and was fighting. From her experience barely working on training with Ang, she also knew quite a few great moves. But she wasn't willing to take the risk that he was willing to. Even with her hard shell, she couldn't imagine putting her into a battle just yet.

Either way, she needed to focus. The creature dodged the little bear's attack and kicked it into Seb's incoming tackle. The two crashed into each other, but that had been the point of his attack anyway. It was easy to tell the stuffel had been angered by the interference - maybe she should have simply let the two of them fight it out and go in later. No, that wouldn't do. She wanted Seb to get a good experience out of this battle. He needed to be in the thick of it, not on the sidelines.

Regardless, the pokemon was in the perfect position now. It launched itself towards Seb, and Shae was quick to call out her next command with a smirk. "Seb, now! Use Stun Spore!" Following the quick order from the woman, the caterpillar shook it's body as the pokemon approached, pulling the spores out to affect it with. The stuffel crashed into him, and though he was pushed back, he quickly retaliated by releasing the spores towards the pokemon by rocking his body forward, hoping it would take. Then, he turned and shook off more spores, pushing them towards the meditating monkey nearby as well, again rocking his body to give momentum for the spores to travel. It he could stun both of them, they'd have quite the edge in this battle.
