Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

A growing feeling of discomfort rose in Blue's mind. She didn't want this to be like this... One minute things were happy and fine, and the next it was... Whatever this was. Did she do something wrong? The whole mood had changed when she left to get food.

Seeing Ri like this was even more nerve-wracking. She seemed so calm, yet there was something that just didn't sit right in Blue's head. Was she angry? Scared? Blue had seen how well the redhead could make her anger seemingly go away. She couldn't tell if it was fake or not, but something nagged at her thoughts. Something wasn't okay.

Ri offered the food back, and Blue winced. Okay, so nobody wanted this food... And Chuck would probably nag her if she went to go put it all back. So, hesitantly, Blue started to eat one of the smaller berries in the bunch. Her stomach growled in pain, stopping her from trying to eat another one. Yeah... She shouldn't waste this on herself, anyways. The babies probably needed this stuff.

Blue felt a wave of panic and confusion rush over her as Ri spoke again. The words themselves plus the shakiness confirmed Blue's thoughts. The girl winced, and looked up at the redhead. "Pl-please don't leave." She murmured, immediately regretting it afterwards. She was being selfish. A little selfish brat.

But... Why would Ri want to leave? Did she not like her? No... Ri would of left sooner if that was the case, but what if..? No, stop it.

Her thoughts then went back to Chuck... Oh no... Did he do something? He hadn't been all too pleasant to newcomers, so it wasn't all impossible. Ri seemed to be shaken up earlier, so she probably wasn't the one that started this whole awkwardness.

"Chuck." Blue's voice came out more harsh than she intended. She reluctantly broke off from Ri to walk towards the table and the man. Her eyes were trained on him, even as she set the rest of the food that she was holding onto the table. Her boss seemed to be surprised by the sudden tone in the girl's voice, but he made no efforts to speak. Blue took a deep breath, and began to speak with a low tone. "Chuck, what did you do?"

"What?"

"You heard me. I'm not stupid, something obviously happened. What did you do to Ri?"
Blue kept her voice quiet, but it was surprisingly stern. Chuck stood up, and stumbled back from the girl. He seemed to hesitate in replying. "... I was just stating a few rules."

"And clearly in the best of ways." Blue muttered sarcastically. To be honest, getting annoyed at Chuck felt very wrong in her head. She knew he wouldn't hurt her, but... Something told her he wouldn't appreciate it well. She tried to calm herself down by taking a deep breath. Her voice slowly faded into its usual quiet and shy demeanor. "Look, I wanted this to be a nice first impression. Just... Apologize, if you have to."

Chuck opened his mouth to argue, but he closed it at the sight of the little girl's tears on her worried expression. He looked up at Ri with slightly widened eyes, and then back to Blue. He mouthed something resembling an apology, but no words came out. The little girl sighed, and began to walk back to Ri. She quickly tried to wipe off the tears off her face. "... I'm sorry, please excuse him."

Pyro tilted his head at the snake's statement. His... Kind? Poison? What even was poison? And wait, he wasn't supposed to do this? Then what else was he supposed to do? He quickly let out another series of small embers to show the seviper. "(But look! I can do it just fine!)" He shouted, using his paw to point to the fire.

Mary lifted her head, and stared over at the pokemon in the background. She was surprised that somebody hadn't questioned the skunk breathing fire sooner. The houndour glanced at Sasha, then back to Venom. She sighed, and called out a short explanation. "(He was born like that. He hasn't produced poison yet, but he can breath fire.)"

Ri hadn't missed that Blue winced. Okay, so Blue could clearly see the tension in the room. Okay. Fair. They weren't being that subtle. They weren't.... Trying to really hide it as well as they could've. Well, Ri thought she was doing okay. Chuck didn't seem as good as it, grumbling and.... Though, it might be the fact that it was more difficult to hide things when Ri's nerves were frayed and she'd literally kicked Chuck in the gut. Yeah, no.... That wasn't as easily hidden. That was just..... Ri wished that things had gone better as well.

But an indignant voice in her told her that.... It wasn't really her fault. Chuck threatened her and she just reacted.... Even if she probably should've kept calm and took it in stride. It wasn't the threat exactly. It was the handshake disguised as a trap, a seemingly friendly gesture that turned out to be not-so-friendly. It'd been deception and it had caused Ri to instantly panic. That on top of her already unexplainable emotional issues regarding Chuck.... It was really hard. She wanted to turn her nose up at all the alcohol, and treat Chuck with disdain. It was.... Impossible to explain why Ri felt such a need.

Ri looked back at Blue and she gently bit her lip, before releasing it. ".... Alright. I won't leave." Ri replied. Though, she wasn't sure that was how things were going to turn out. As soon as this whole.... Thing was over, Ri would probably be stuck trying to find.... Some sort of sleeping arrangement. Given how hostile the locals were.... Ri wasn't sure how well that'd work out for her. She might have to forgo sleep even more often than usual, needing to defend herself from idiots who thought they might kill her in her sleep. They seemed hateful enough to try such a tactic.

Then Blue's voice became strangely.... Pointed towards Chuck. Ri wasn't sure what to make of it, and she ended up staring down at the table whilst biting her lip. She seemed to really like Chuck, and now she was upset at him. Ri was.... Confused. On one hand she felt some possibly misplaced vindictive pleasure that Blue was siding with her, and wasn't totally trapped by whatever obligations she thought she had towards the drunk. On the other.... Ri.... Felt guilty. Was she wrong and Blue and Chuck had a good thing here, that she was messing up with her presence? The thought suddenly made her feel sick to her stomach for some reason. She had to force her clenched fists to relax all of a sudden. What was that? She was sure that if someone had seen, she would've been seen staring off with the strangest kind of haunted look on her face, before she corrected it back into a passive expression. She'd.... In the middle of her little.... What even was that? It was impossible to explain. How did she explain that reaction....? She couldn't. That scared her. Anyway, when she was finally paying attention again.... Blue wanted Chuck to apologize.

So, Ri just raised a hand half-heartedly. "It's fine, Blue.... Really...." She said, doing a little bit to try and defuse things as well. To be fair... Blue brought her into his house, presumably without asking, and she'd kicked him in the gut. Good reasons for hating Ri's idiotic ass. Yeah.... Ri tried to ignore the sinking and vaguely drowning feels she felt. Emotional exhaustion was worse than fatigue of any kind.... It wore you down in a way that couldn't be fixed so easily.

Instead of Chuck apologizing properly.... Blue did it for him. Ri subconsciously grabbed her wrist. ".... Like I said.... It's fine." She said quietly.

Venom only narrowed his eyes and hissed. "(But he's not supposed to. He's a fucking skunk.)" He said, putting heavy emphasis on the part about Pyro being a skunk. "(It's like how I'm a snake so I'm venomous. Skunks do not breathe fire as easily as air.)" He insisted, apparently set in the idea of Pyro's unnatural skillset.

A sense of guilt rushed over Blue the longer she stood. She didn't like being annoyed, she didn't like this awkwardness, she didn't like any of this. She felt as if this was her fault. While it wasn't, not entirely, her thoughts started to form little lies that said otherwise. The girl began to clutch her jacket sleeves and hug herself... She had to fix this. She had to, right? She couldn't deal with this.

The girl nodded slightly to Ri as she tried to assure her that things were fine, as if she understood. Well, if things were fine, then she was mentally stable. Still, she didn't try to argue. Just... Don't push anything further and try and fix the mess she created.

Blue took a deep breath, and briefly broke away from Ri. She slowly tried to pry her hands from her jacket as she approached the bottle of booze she had left on the floor earlier. She bent down to grab the bottle, and paused for a few moments to stare at it. She didn't see why Chuck liked this so much... But if it would lighten the mood, sure. But before she started to walk over to the man, who was now seated in a chair, she began to tilt the bottle around. After a few seconds, she brought the bottle up to her mouth and began to chug a bit of the alcohol.

Almost immediately, she brought the bottle away. She swallowed the alcohol and stuck out her tongue in disgust. Her confusion as to why Chuck liked this stuff only grew. The bitter taste in her mouth was pretty annoying and gross. When Blue looked back down at the bottle, she realized that about half of it was empty. Well, crap, that might explain why the horrible taste is so strong.

Blue started to walk towards Chuck, bottle held in her hand. She shyly approached him, and set the bottle on the table by him. "... I'm not giving you the whole thing, but I thought you'd want it... Please don't be mad at me." The last part was added as a small whisper, and she didn't dare look into Chuck's eyes. Before she could walk away, the man pulled her back into a small hug. Blue stood in minor shock for a second, and hugged back.

After a few moments, the girl pulled away, and started to walk back to Ri. But before she did, she heard Chuck mumble something under his breath. "Stay safe."

When Blue returned to the redhead, she tried to smile. Smiling meant things were fine, right? Definitely. That's why she liked smiling. Her hands started to grab at her sleeves once again, but that seemed to be the only indication of the panic happening inside her thoughts. She wanted to lighten the mood, so changing the subject was a must.

"... So, how have you been..?"
Blue asked, awkwardness clear in her tone. She hoped that she was doing well. But then again, this was Terrene. There was always something wrong, sadly. The girl's focus briefly shifted to the new face on the other's team, which was a small bird. Blue's eyes lit up in excitement and her smile widened. "Aw, aren't you just adorable?" She murmured. It felt nice to have some excuse to act happy.

Pyro grew even more confused at the seviper's words... He wasn't supposed to be like this? Then why was he? The skunk tilted his head, and stared at Arashi. "(He's acting really weird.)" He stated bluntly, twitching his ears. Joey suddenly flew downwards to the group of pokemon, and began buzzing around Pyro. "(Well, it is unnatural for your species to be able to breathe fire.)"

"(But I got fire from Marymom, right? If she can breathe fire, so can I! Too bad I can't shoot electricity like Mama.)" Pyro exclaimed, perking up. Joey paused for a second to squint at the child. This child was really set on the idea of Mary and Sasha being his biological parents, huh? He felt the need to tell the child that he was adopted, but before he could, he caught the sight of Sasha glaring daggers at him... Well, he can state the facts later...

"(... I mean, possibly being around Mary could of helped out be able to produce fire. Other than that, probably some screwed up genetic mutation.)" The cutiefly rambled, hovering around the group of pokemon. He seemed to hold no fear while flying by the probably hostile snake. He didn't feel the need to.

Ri could perfectly see that Blue's smile was painfully awkward and upset. Mostly it was the clutching at her jacket sleeves, though.... Ri knew that smile couldn't be real. It was the same tactic Ri..... Um.... What was that thought again? She'd begun thinking it, before it slipped away.... Anyways, that awkward smile seemed almost familiar. Whatever. It didn't matter. Blue was lying through her damned teeth, and Ri didn't like it much. She..... Ugh.... Ri was getting stressed out just looking at Blue.

Ri grimaced at Blue taking a sip from the alcohol. "That stuff is disgusting. People often times don't drink for the taste." She said. "It's to look cool or to.... Numb." Ri said, suddenly looking away. She wasn't sure where she got that knowledge, but it slid off her tongue so easily.... And it felt right. That was why people drank. Ri was sure that she didn't drink, wrinkling her nose up at the smell and the idea of her senses being numbed for whatever reason.

Blue gave the bottle to Chuck. Ri couldn't hear what Blue had whispered.... But she could guess. Blue tended to be very... Submissive, and at first Ri had thought it was kind of adorable. Right now, it grated on her nerves, and made her want to start throwing things. Or break something. Blue was so painfully spineless that made Ri's blood fucking boil. She needed to fucking leave. She wasn't sure if she could take much more of this.

Fuck. She was only really sticking around because Blue asked. She didn't want to hurt Blue, but at the same time.... Was Ri only enabling Blue to continue this desperate people-pleasing behavior? That thought was terrifying. Fuck, fuck. She needed to leave, she needed to get out, yes she came here for Blue, but she needed to get away from Blue for like a fucking week.

The smile was seriously not helping. Ri wanted to scream. She was deeply ashamed of the stray thought of yelling at Blue to cut it the fuck out. She suppressed all that, and she only smiled in return. Fuck. Could Blue stop fucking smiling and just..... Just.... Something else?! Ri covered up everything with being an asshole, but the fucking smiling was worse. It was fucking painful.

Ri reached up to tuck a lock of hair behind her ear, but she was internally freezing up at the question. She didn't want to answer. If she opened her mouth, it would probably be a fucking waterfall of vulgarities and anger. Then she let out a breath as Blue suddenly noticed Andy, and the topic was changed. Ri nodded her head. "Uh, yeah. That's Andy. Sai brought him home while we were in the mountains...." She explained. She wondered how soon she could leave without hurting Blue too much.

Venom took one glance at Pyro. Then he turned his head to stare judgmentally at Mary and Sasha. "(Are you serious....?)" He seemed completely dumbfounded by how Mary and Sasha let this kid think that Mary and Sasha were his biological parents.

Sai similarly was grimacing at the scene. She walked up to Sasha, though she was sure to be quiet. "(Uh.... Are you really sure you should keep him in the dark? He's going to figure it out eventually....)" She pointed out.

Andy who was standing next to Sai originally, flew over to where the other pokemon were all standing now. "(This seems interesting.)" He commented.

Arashi tilted her head. "(What's a Mama?)" She asked. She had quite literally no concept of parents, considering that Sai and Venom had never defined themselves as such, and Arashi had never decided to ask.

"(A mother. The female who laid your egg and brought you into this world. Usually... Your mother or your father is the same species as you.)" Venom explained. "(Your father is the male who helped your mother make you.)" Venom added, before the zebra could ask.

Arashi tilted her head. "(Uh huh.... But.... Pyro's a skunk, right? His parents are a sheep and dog. Do mixing a sheep and dog make a skunk?)" She asked.

"(No.)" Venom said firmly. Sai sighed, but for once she didn't seem that annoyed at Venom.... Mostly, because she agreed for once. Pyro really shouldn't be kept in the dark about his real parentage.... His fire wasn't from Mary, it was just a weird thing Pyro could do.

Arashi hopped over to Venom quickly. "(Huh.... Can you do fire?)" She asked him, eyes sparkling as she did.

"(No, because snakes don't breathe fire.)" Venom insisted.

"(But.... You said skunks don't breathe fire! Why can't you!)" Arashi whined.

"(Because I can't!)" Venom snapped back.

"(Laaaame!)" Arashi whined as she bounced back over to Pyro, though significantly less enthusiastic.

Venom seemed personally offended that where Arashi held him on a pedestal before, he was now suddenly dubbed lame. He grumbled and coiled in on himself. "(I'm not lame....)" He muttered to himself.

Blue didn't exactly know how to respond to Ri's statement about the alcohol. Well, why would it make them look cool? To her, alcohol made the drinker look really sad. But she'd never say that out loud, or at least not where Chuck can hear her... But to numb? Well, from what she remembered, Chuck liked to forget a lot of things. He would start to drink heavily after mentioning anything remotely resembling his ex-wife and daughter... It was painful to watch him during that. But... Blue would only step in when it seemed that he was trying to drink to death.

Chuck said nothing for a few moments, his eyes blankly staring at the two. "Yeah, that sounds about right. There's also really nothing better to do around here." He mumbled, chugging down the bottle with ease. Blue raised an eyebrow. Well... Chuck's problem might be a big habit as well. She didn't know how long he's been like this, but probably a while considering everything. Blue's smile fell a bit, and she winced at her thoughts.

But when Ri started to speak about Andy, she tried to force herself to settle down. She took a deep breath, and hesitantly released her hands to rub her eyes. Her smile returned, but it was vague and tired. "Mountains, huh?.. I'm sure they were very pretty. The view, especially." She murmured softly, feeling actually quite content with those thoughts. She couldn't explain it, but she always felt at ease when she thought of the mountains. There was something that just... Made her happy and free.

Chuck chuckled in the background at Blue's words as he set his face on one of his hands. "Well, should I be surprised when it asks me for your hand in marriage?"

Blue immediately turned red, and looked at Chuck with wide eyes. "N-No! I just like the mountains..." She murmured awkwardly. But inside her head, she was grateful for the teasing. It was something to get her mind off the panic swarming her thoughts. She was still burning red in the face, though.

Sasha's gaze seemed to grow cold as Venom turned to face her and Mary. Why was this his problem? Did he really feel the need to butt in? Her annoyance didn't seem to relax as Sai approached the two. But hey, at least she had the decency to be quiet. The mareep's gaze only darkened as the snake deemed it appropriate to explain how genetics worked right in front of Pyro.

"(... If he wants to believe, I'll let him believe. Just doesn't seem fair to tell him his real parents gave him away.)" Sasha muttered quietly, turning her head towards the stunky. Her expression turned into one of worry, and she sighed. Mary winced, and nudged Sasha's cheek with her nose. "(Sashi, he's going to realize it soon enough.)"

"(I know... Just... Ugh.)" She murmured, nudging Mary back. She went quiet, and dug her hooves into the dirt. She kept her gaze on her adopted son, and sighed again.

Pyro couldn't understand. Mama and Marymom... Weren't his parents. Then what were they? They raised him and loved him, how could they not be his parents?.. The seviper was probably lying. He was saying he can't breathe fire when he clearly can, so he was probably wrong about this whole thing. Maybe he was just a dude who liked to make unfunny jokes. The stunky simply stared at the blitzle and seviper with blank eyes.

He watched as Arashi bounced towards him, and he twitched his ears. "(He's a weirdo.)" He stated once again, staring straight at Venom. The stunky once again tried to stir up some fire in his lungs, but it seemed to only come out in small flickers now. He huffed, and batted the warm air with his paws.

Ri guessed it shouldn't be that surprising that Chuck agreed with her words. Ri guessed that Desert Strip and Oasis Village were pretty bleak... Going out on walks weren't as appealing she supposed when the whole place was so.... Dusty and... Barren. Well, in comparison to places like Ashfield. Even the grassy plains near Crater City were more interesting than dirt beyond measure. Everything was dry up here, though she thought that they should find something better than crawl inside a bottle and drink the days away. Great way to die of alcohol poisoning.

Ri could tell that.... Blue was weirdly honest about the mountains.... She kind of snorted over Blue's apparent swooning over the mountains and Chuck's comment. It sounded like Blue had seen the mountains some time, or she was simply enamored with the idea. Ri did appreciate the view, but she wasn't falling head over heels like Blue seemed prepared to do. Her expressions a bit more soft and casual now. "Maybe you should go see them yourself." She suggested.

Venom only grew annoyed at Sasha's icy gaze. He thought it was ridiculous to shelter and baby the skunk under their care. What did that kind of thing get anyone? Sure, he hadn't been gentle with Sai and now she.... Didn't like him much.... Not that she ever had.... But she was strong now and she was self-sufficient and perfectly capable of pulling her own weight. That counted for something, right?

Sai sighed. "(.... I mean... Arashi and Yuki are in the same situation, but they don't seem to care? Venom didn't exactly sugarcoat it, and they seem fine with it.)" She said. It was true and.... Yuki and Arashi hadn't really cared or seemed affected much at all. Arashi still adored Venom, and Yuki still seemed content with chats with Sai.

Arashi wasn't bouncing anymore, and was dragging her hooves in the dirt. "(He's not weird.... He just likes being honest. Sai says he's too harsh sometimes.... But I dunno what that means.... I think it's alright....)" She said quietly. It seemed Venom really killed the mood.

Arashi lifted her head. "(You wanna go play a game?)" She asked, wanting to do something instead of standing around and feeling crummy. "(We should go spar or something.)"

Blue paused for a second, and laughed awkwardly at her slight embarrassment. Well... She had been to the mountains only once in her time in Terrene, even though that was a very short stay. She didn't get to appreciate the land and view while she was there, and she felt a bit bummed by that fact. But hey, maybe she could go! Probably not long though, as she didn't want to leave Chuck alone for too long. It would feel odd to be away too long from Oasis, despite how horrible it was to live there outside Chuck's house.

"... Maybe one day." The girl murmured simply. Her expression seemed tired, but content with the new idea. She glanced over to the pidgey, and was almost tempted to ask him what life was like up there. But alas, she couldn't speak nor understand the pokemon language. Well, she could always go with the next best thing.

"Soooo, what are the mountains even like up there?" Blue asked both Ri and Chuck, bouncing in place giddily. The thoughts of the mountains had seemed to calm her down, and even made her fairly excited about said topic. She eyed Chuck, who seemed to be watching his maractus mutter some unknown words to him. The man chuckled slightly at the cactus bunny, and shook his head as he realized the small girl had asked him a question.

"I don't remember, to be completely honest. It's been... Around 26 years, now? It's probably changed a lot since then." Chuck replied, his voice fading slightly as he finished. His eyes went blank, and he seemed to be deep in thought... Seemed being the key word. He was completely out of reality in his senses, but after a few moments he had snapped back.

Blue sighed, and turned her head to Ri, awaiting an answer with bright eyes. Joey came buzzing around, mainly eying the unusually giddy human. The cutiefly seemed to be baffled by the girl's behavior, and was buzzing loudly. "(What did you do!? What is this!? I swear to Arceus, you are the oddest human!)"

Sasha sighed, and kept her eyes trained on Pyro and Arashi. She didn't speak, leaving Mary to answer the psyduck. The canine lowered her ears, and kept her voice low. "(Yes, but that was how you raised them. They're not Pyro, and that might not be how he takes it.)" She murmured, keeping her eyes on her mareep friend, who's expression now seemed blank.

Pyro immediately perked up at the thought of sparring. Sure, he knew what it was, and it seemed fun! He didn't exactly know how to really fight, though... Bah, whatever! He can learn as it goes!

"(Yeah, sure! Sparring sounds great! Mamaaaa!)" The stunky shouted before rolling over towards the trio of pokemon. He plopped himself in front of Sasha, and continuously poked her in the face with his paws. "(Hey Mama, can me and Aishi go play? I promise we'll be good!)"

The mareep seemed strangely silent, which worried the little skunk. Was Mama sick? She was normally so bright and happy, especially with Marymom! What happened? Did anyone hurt her? Baaaah, if anyone hurt Mama...

"(Sure, Py. Just don't get too carried away, please?)" Sasha finally murmured, making him completely forget his worried thoughts. He bounced up in happiness, and rolled over to Arashi. "(She said yeah! Yeah!... So how do we even spar?)" He asked, tilting his head.

Ri needed to try harder. If she could convince Blue to leave.... She could leave Oasis Village feeling better probably. Feeling confident that she at least tried her best.... Ri tried to imagine traveling back with Blue, and she was feeling way less enthusiastic about the idea than she'd originally been at the beginning of her journey from the Rolling Mountains to here. Looking at Blue it just cemented her decision to leave Oasis Village alone.... Just as she'd come.

So, what if she'd changed her mind? That kind of stuff happened sometimes. She just.... She wasn't sure she could deal with Blue for the duration of travel.... Also she was sure that Blue would just cling to her and never leave. Ri wasn't sure she could deal with that. She fucking needed her alone time, and she could swear that Blue would interpret her leaving into the next room as abandonment. Ri couldn't give Blue what the girl probably needed. So.... Maybe Ri needed to go away.

"Or maybe soon." Ri strongly suggested. "If you want to go you should go." She said. "If you keep telling yourself 'one day,' I don't think you'll ever end up going. Don't put off until tomorrow what you can do today." Ri wasn't sure where she'd heard that saying she'd tacked on... But it sounded like a good one. The kind of words that Ri would like to live by. Though, she wasn't sure she could live up to it entirely... Aside from her vicious impulses, Ri could sometimes get kind of weird about things.

Ri tilted her head. "Hm.... Well..." Ri let her tongue weave words without thinking about it. "They aren't the mightiest of mountains you may find. You could probably call them hills that look like mountains if you squint. The ground is rocky and harsh, and little valleys form in between the mountains. It's not the most plant-rich place, but there are still some flowers if you're looking for them." She said, explaining what she recalled.

..... Ri wasn't sure what to think of the Cutiefly furiously buzzing about Blue's head. It was strange. What was he reacting to....?

Sai looked down. "(.... You can't hide it from him forever... If he keeps referring to you two as his parents... Someone else is going to say the same things as Venom. If pokemon keep saying the same things, he won't be able to deny the truth.... Not without heavy self-delusions.)"

Arashi regained some bounce in her step as Pyro agreed. As soon as Pyro came back, Arashi had a sparkling glint in her eye. "(Well, it's like we hit each other with attacks! Then when one of us gets tired, we'll stop! This isn't a fight, so we're not supposed to hit each other until one of us dies.)" Arashi said sagely. "(You wanna go first?)"

Blue briefly considered what Ri was saying. Well, she was probably right. The girl probably would find more reasons for her to stay, and never want to go up to those mountains. She wanted to go so badly... But the already existing reasons felt the need to ruin any need for that. She kept her tired eyes trained on Chuck. Sure, Scotch could probably do any job of hers and do it better... But she felt the need to stay and help. It made her feel useful and not entirely worthless.

Although Ri didn't describe them as mountains, Blue felt an overwhelming sense of happiness at the description. She could picture it clear as day, with some other weirdly familiar images fading in. She could picture herself in those images, on top of the world...

But she wasn't alone in those images. She knew there was something else. But she couldn't recall what or who. Whatever it was, she felt a small twitch of sadness in her head. She started to zone out for a moment, trying her best to recall the images clearly. It came of no avail, though. Blue sighed, and nodded. "Thank you." She murmured.

Chuck remained silent for a moment, and seemed to go briefly into thought before speaking. "... I'm guessing you're staying for at least a day? Well, even if you're staying less than that, I highly advise you to keep away from the gang members. If they didn't stop at her, they won't stop at you." He warned, raising a hand to point at Blue. The girl seemed to freeze up for a moment, but she nodded excessively after that.

"Yeah... Try to avoid them please... I don't want you to die." She added, suddenly breaking off from her prior giddiness. She recalled the beatings she had received from some of the gang members, and shivered at the thought of it ever happening to the redhead.

She felt the cutiefly brush up against her cheek, and a faint smile grew on her face once again. She still looked pretty distant in her expression, though. Joey kept buzzing in his unknown language, and Blue once again started to wish she could understand it.

Sasha kept silent, as if refusing to acknowledge the psyduck's words. She kept her gaze on the two babies, but seemed to be lost in her thoughts. Mary nudged the mareep lightly with her nose, but there was no response. The canine stared at her in concern for a few moments before slowly raising her eyes to Sai. "(... I plan on telling him if he feels the need to ask. I'm just scared about how he'll cope with it... He's been believing this for almost a year now, so probably not well.)"

Pyro listened intently to his friend's explanation, and he nodded along happily. He didn't know what 'dies' meant, but he assumed it meant hurt badly. He didn't want Arashi to get hurt too much, so thank Arceus for that. When the zebra asked him if he wanted to go first, he nodded. Since he didn't want to really burn his friend, he raised his paw and tried to lash out with his claws.

Sasha seemed to perk up at the sparring between the babies. She flinched, and started to stand up. However, Mary set her paw on the sheep and prompted her to lay back down. "(Relax, it's just play-fighting. My siblings did it all the time, and nobody got too hurt... It's fine, Sashi.)" She murmured. Sasha seemed to hesitate before she went back to laying down on the dirt.

Ri didn't think she'd really convinced Blue to leave.... She was pretty sure she knew the only conceivable reason that could be keeping Blue here. She glanced to Chuck. Yeah, no. There couldn't be any other reason other than him that was keeping Blue here. It made Ri feel a little bitter, that Blue was staying in a shitty place that would only hurt her for him. He probably wasn't in danger like Blue was... And it got on Ri's nerves.

Then Chuck issued a warning. "I'm not going to go looking for trouble." She said. Then the implication. Ri slowly turned her head to look at Blue. "And.... When were you going to tell me that you were hurt by gang members?" She asked. She didn't snap, but she certainly didn't sound happy. It sounded like Blue hadn't wanted her to know. That pissed Ri off more than anything. Like she could fucking stop Ri from protecting her. Like it was Blue's fucking right to stop Ri. It pissed her off. She was fucking angry.

She groaned, and facepalmed. "Why do you stay here if shit like that happens?" She was trying really hard not to just go up and start shaking Blue. She was growing increasingly stressed from this whole mess.... And she just.... Ugh. She couldn't deal with this bullshit. She just couldn't.

Sai sighed. "(.... It's your decision.)" She said quietly. "(It'll probably get worse the longer you put it off....)" Were the last words she said, before she decided to go off. She walked over to the humans, and sat down leaning against the leg of the red-haired human. She was tired, and her headache was killing her. She guessed that was the nature of her life. Always with a headache, either from stress or her psychic powers. It really sucked sometimes.

Arashi was bouncing on her hooves, though without actually leaving the ground this time, in anticipation for Pyro's first attack. She wondered how he'd attack. Would he use his fire attack?! That'd be cool, though she'd guess it'd kind of hurt.... But... She was tough! She could take on anything, right? Though, instead Pyro lifted his claws and scratched at her. Though, Arashi was taller than Pyro, so he mostly ended up scratching her legs. "(Ow!)" She couldn't help but yelp. Though, she was quick to smile instead. Though, it looked a little tense. "(That was good! Okay, it's my turn now!)" She said, and swiftly she threw herself at Pyro, her hooves flashing white.

Blue could feel her head starting to go a bit fuzzy as time passed on, and she rubbed her tired eyes in hopes of keeping herself away. She didn't really know what was happening to her head, and she didn't like it. A small headache had started to form along with the fuzziness.

But she was still partially aware of what was happening, and she almost refused to look up at Ri... Why was she this worried about her? It was stupid to dwell on her. The girl didn't want anyone to be worried about her, and this certainly wasn't helping her. She looked to Chuck with wide eyes, as if expecting him to butt in. But he simply stared at her, awaiting an answer himself. Blue took a step or two backwards, away from the two people staring at her.

She wanted to cry so badly. In fact, she did. She did what she always did when she was upset, and let tears run down her cheeks. Her head was growing slowly more fuzzy as she turned her head to reply to the other woman. "Well, it's definitely not something I'd say in a normal conversation! 'Oh hey, did I forget to mention that the locals have beaten and scarred me on occasion!? Wowie!'" She suddenly snapped, giving a mock innocence to her last sentences. She even added in a mock smile.

Her hands instinctively tugged at her sleeves, and she paused to choke on her tears. Chuck quickly stumbled up from his chair and towards the girl. The girl almost felt like pushing him away when he tried to hug and comfort her. "Hey, calm down." He murmured. Blue didn't respond, and kept her eyes trained on Ri. She was drunk, having a headache, and growing overwhelmingly upset. She wasn't calming down.

"I have nowhere else to go! Nobody wants a burdening leech like me! The only reason Chuck wants me is so he can have some fucking do-over from losing his daughter!"

Chuck immediately broke away, his eyes wide. He opened his mouth to sputter words, but no sounds came out. Blue looked over at the man, and immediately regretted her words. Her crying suddenly grew more intense. Her hands went from her sleeves to tug violently at her short hair. She started shaking wildly.

Mary watched the psyduck walk away with a blank expression, but it soon drifted to a worried one as she noticed the humans talking... Her human was crying, as usual... But... She seemed angry. The canine looked over to Sasha, who seemed to be zoned out and out of reality. She didn't even look back at her. Mary winced, and glanced back over to the humans. She wanted to go over and see what had made her human like that but... She knew that her demon aura would probably make things worse if she got closer. So instead, she watched them intently. If anything was going to hurt Blue, she was at the ready with teeth bared.

The stunky was at first a little sad when he heard the other pokemon let out a small yelp of pain. Oh Arceus, did it really hurt her that badly? But as soon as she smiled at him, he tried to smile back and get back into the fighting mood.

Pyro squeaked as he was suddenly tossed back by Arashi's attack. He had tried to roll away, but the zebra had been too quick for him to make good progress in doing so. A mark in his back The stunky's instincts told him to fight back, and he quickly let out a small series of flares from his mouth. He then would try and crawl away to hopefully get out of reach if his friend tried to attack once again.

((I've never done this but.....

WARNING: Ri is.... She always curses, but she's swearing at someone and I think that's more severe. That, and she is being pretty cruel right now. Ri and Blue have a very unhealthy relationship, and Ri is a big part of it, and it gets pretty bad in this post.))

Ri was frustrated, irritated, and a big mess of annoyance and anger. She didn't want to blame Blue, but admittedly her feelings towards Blue were pretty much the source of it. It was frustrating how Blue shoved things under the rug, and she was pretty sure sitting on your ass doing nothing didn't help anyone and it was aggravating to think that.... Just sticking your head in the sand was a good solution, like Blue seemed to think it was. Pretending everything was okay was not a fucking solution and it didn't help anyone. Okay, so maybe Ri did the same thing, but at least Ri fought back. Blue was the type of person to let someone kick the shit out of her and then apologize for getting beaten up. It straight up pissed Ri off, and she just.... She couldn't deal with this bullshit. Could she really keep up trying to be.... Trying to be friends with Blue, when they were going to get into these kinds of messes? Now that she remembered, their previous two interactions at the Ashfield Speed Dating Event and Winter Festival respectively had ended sourly. Maybe that should've been Ri's first hint she should just forget about Blue.

Though, when Blue started crying, a brick ton's worth of guilt slammed into Ri's gut. It wasn't a good feeling, but still Ri couldn't let go of the anger boiling under her skin. She clenched her fists on the table as she stood up. Blue suddenly started yelling, and pulling off some ridiculous mockery. Ri grit her fucking teeth, and was about to begin snapping, except now Blue was choking back a sob and Ri felt awkward as shit.

Chuck went to go help Blue, and Ri looked away. Fuck, he was probably the type who knew that you don't help a crying girl with blood boiling and guilt churning in your chest. She picked up the specific word of "scarred." So it wasn't just beatings, fuck. Ri had an urge to go find the nearest gang member to punch their fucking teeth out, but then she remembered that was a great way to die, and Ri didn't care about dying but Blue did.... So, fuck. Stalemate. She was stuck here without a way to release her anger, and her rage was only finding ways to swell.

Except, Chuck failed at comforting Blue, as she snapped at Chuck. Then Blue was crying harder and harder, and shaking badly. Ri clenched her fist ever harder on the table, before she slammed it on the table. "I can't fucking take this." She hissed through her fucking teeth. Her burning gaze of rage, maybe only a little directed at Blue, turned on the sobbing girl who looked a lot younger than she was. "You're not supposed to never say a word if you can't even fucking take care of yourself." She practically snarled. "You think you're the only homeless piece of shit with no home? No one who really cares? Guess what? You're not. I'm leaving. If we ever see each other again, I hope you've grown a fucking spine."

Ri was too angry. She couldn't stay. She just couldn't. Without paying too much attention, she recalled Arashi back to her pokeball. "I'm leaving. Don't try to stop me." She turned around and began storming off. Fuck, would Blue pursue? She was pretty clingy. She took the immense guilt and shame she was feeling and shoved it deeper, deeper down. "I don't want to ever see you again, you lousy piece of shit. So don't follow me, or maybe I'll let Venom take a little bit out of you." She said, forcing down every emotion she felt, making her voice sound icy cold. Then she was walking out the door, and hopefully Blue wouldn't be following.

Sai and Venom's attention was caught by the extreme situation that seemed to be unfolding between the humans, and it seemed like it demanded much more attention than the spar between Arashi and Pyro. They could see the intense emotions, even if they didn't understand all of the words being said. The red-haired human was burning with such intense anger, that it scared Sai. She was.... Terrified, and she wasn't sure she'd ever seen the human this enraged. Is this what other humans did to her human? She preferred the human when she was alone with just them.... Just her, Venom, Arashi, Yuki, and Andy now too. She was calmer and nicer with them. Venom wasn't sure what to make the human's fiery rage, as he wasn't really used to it either. He was glad it wasn't aimed at them, but he guessed the red-haired human wasn't really meant for relationships with other humans. It wasn't as reassuring as he almost thought it'd be.

When Pyro's embers showered over Arashi, she couldn't help but hiss out at the burning pain. She'd never been burned before, while she had been scratched and bruised before, so it was a new kind of pain. Though, she was going to strike again, but then she was recalled inside the pokeball.

Venom, Sai, and Andy all stared in surprise, and looked to see the human was leaving... Leaving this messy situation. "(.... Good thing we're leaving....)" Venom muttered, though he didn't sound like he was as certain as he usually was.... Sai seemed even less certain that this was a good course of action, while Andy just.... Andy wasn't sure what to think. He didn't know any of the humans well, and this seemed like something he'd intruded upon, something he didn't understand at all. Still...

All of Ri's pokemon were following Ri out the door now, staying right on her heels. They'd have to be stepped on probably to get to Ri.

Ugh, what did you guys do? I need these two to stay friends. It started off so cute but ended with so much drama. I hope to see Blue and Ri make up some where down the road. Good work you two making a huge mess of this friendship, haha! Also just a few exp to Pyro and Arashi for a friendly spar that didn't get very far.
