Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

As Terrene leaves behind
the long, dark nights, their minds turn to friendship and romance at the second annual speed dating! And don't miss out on the clover hunt or the poetry season. Our plot event, alpha & omega, is drawing closer to its end, but is still going strong for now.

Season

Spring will be here until
June. The rainy season begins in the tropical areas; the rest of Terrene begins to thaw and warm, shaking the chill of winter and creeping toward the heat of summer. Fairy and grass types relish in the season of rebirth and renewal!

[#SEB SPOTLIGHT! This dev is for Seb's evolution from a Scatterbug into a Spewpa, some loyalty, and a bit of experience if deemed appropriate. I'm planning a bit of training in the midst of this, but we'll see what happens.]

It started out, and would continue to be, a rather average day in all. The family was all out within in the home which she was staying for the time, so kindly lent to her while the traders who lived here were on a trip. They were spending some time in Crater City to sell their goods and proclaim some things that didn't make it to the forest very often, or for a very good price. She sat in a chair, the little compact mirror with her name flipped open, shining her bright smile back at her as her fingers fiddled with her hair carefully.

It was always important to make herself look good before going out. And she so appreciated the opportunity to get ready inside a house, rather than outside. She was fine living outside if needed on occasion, but it certainly wasn't her preferred living. Until she found a new home however, she bounced between houses of those willing to let her stay for a few days here and there at a time. This helped her socialize more and keep relationships positive, so she didn't mind. Though the peace of being alone with her family was always nice from time to time.

Of course, she wasn't able to get through her morning preparations before the silly bug was over, bumping his head against her leg. She giggled, ad he released a 'buh' customary to requesting pets. Though, it sounded a tad off, she didn't think too much of it. Perhaps he was still shaking off the morning sleepiness. Carefully removing her hands from her thick curls, she leaned over and extended her arms. "Here, why don't you come up here with me." Gently, she wrapped her fingers around the scatterbug and lifted him up. She set him in her lap, the compact sitting on a table in front of them.

Meeting his demands, she started to pat him on his head. As she did so, her hand and eyes started to drift to his collar. In all the time she's had the bug, she'd known his collar of fur to only grow so long. It was pretty constant and sure. But for some reason, it almost seemed a bit longer than usual. Maybe she was just imagining it. She lifted the fur for a better look, and noticed something odd. There were the beginnings of bristles of white fur. Was his fur spreading a bit? Or did some of it get torn?

No, the woman was sure she could have noticed if his fur got torn or cut. "You planning on growing a bit more hair, huh? That will only make you look cuter!" She spoke in her bubbly tone as ever, though she was a bit puzzled by the change. But it was minuscule. There wasn't a need to worry over it obsessively. Besides, extra fur was good, right? They were about to move into the cold season after all. She returned to her petting for a couple more moments before returning her attention to her hair and face.

After sorting out and organizing her curls as she wanted to, making them look nice and even and not so frizzy, she would move on to her makeup. She leaned, pulling out the berry concoctions with her different hues to add to her face. Pulling it out meant getting the attention of Eli of course, which wasn't a problem by any means. "Yes yes, I know you'll want to decorate Seb for the day. Just don't go too crazy, okay?" She cocked her head at the espurr while holding the little container of paste, the espurr nodding in agreement even if she didn't really understand the words. She just knew that's what she had to do for the human to give her the paint!

Shae chuckled and handed one of the containers to the feline, who immediately whined while looking up at Seb. Normally he was quicker to move, but he seemed less willing for some reason. "Oh Seb, I hope you slept well. If not, I'll make sure you get some time to nap later, I promise." She pet him affectionately, before lifting to set him on the ground, leaving him to the espurr. In the meantime, she returned to her face, opening the other container and rubbing a tad of the makeshift paste between her fingers, looking deeply into the mirror as she brought them up to her face to apply.

Still groggy, the scatterbug grumbled as he left the woman, having been placed on the floor. "Come ooooon!! It's time to get you all fancy and ready for the day! I absolutely can't wait a single moment loonger!" The bug groaned dramatically. He liked being decorated, as it made him feel like he was closer to being a vivillon with beautiful wings. But he was just so tired today... "Maybe we could just skip today. I need more sleep." His head hung a little lower as he said it, but to no one's surprise he wasn't able to deter her so easily.

The espurr gasped, a little choked mew escaping from her throat as she did so. "Not get ready for the day? Preposterous! I have to make you look perfect! Just like how the human makes herself look perfect every day. It's art! You can't stifle good art!" There was a clear scoff across the room, the grumble very clearly from the dog who disagreed fervently with the opinion that the espurr's mess could be called art. She ignored him. "Fine fine. Just do your thing so I can get some sleep before she decides to leave the house please." She meowed in joy and hopped a bit. "I'll have you looking gorgeous in a matter of minutes! Super fast and super pretty!"

The scatterbug lifted his head and allowed her to get to work, though she quickly noticed the same as Seb. "Oh! You're growing more fur! That's so exciting. It means I'll have more to decorate." She set to staining the pricks of new white fur with the dark colored concoction. Seb would have rolled his eyes if he could. He wasn't growing more fur, that was just silly. He had just as much fur as he always did. It wouldn't just start growing randomly.

Resting in the dark-skinned woman's arms, the yellow mouse squeaked in joy and awe as they headed towards the treeline. This was the first time she was going to see outside the city! The baby was incomprehensibly excited, though partially due to just her age. Nonetheless, the little pichu wiggled and pushed, pulling herself out of the grip from the woman's arms to her chest. She wasn't about to jump off, as the distance to the ground was too scary, and she didn't want to try to walk on her own just yet. But she could stand on her human's arms and get a better view!

The new pokemon's ears flopped as she looked around, side to side and up to down. Shae giggled a bit as she did so, having wiggled so much just to get a different view. This was her first trip into the forest since the pichu had hatched, and she wanted to let her experience a nice walk.Well, she hoped it would be a nice walk anyway. The forest tended to be unpredictable, even among the common path she used to pick berries. The wild creatures inhabiting the forest were always moving and shifting, which meant that any area could potentially be a bit dangerous. But she was confident in her family's ability to protect themselves and the baby.

To that effect, she had two others out and with her as she walked down the trail into the trees. To her right side, walking as if properly trained but actually just having grace and manners, was the furfrou. He held his head high, taking confident strides and maximizing the motion. It had been a while since they'd had a proper excursion into the forest. He was glad for the opportunity to enjoy a stroll with the human. He was, of course, still unsure about his feelings on her. However, she was very good about grooming him often, and he'd grown very fond of her keeping him clean. He could, of course, clean himself, but having her do it so willingly was much easier.

Riding in the bag carefully along her hip was the large pumpkin ghost, who was much more fond of the human, though still unsure about sticking around as often as she did. Still, this human did keep her promise of keeping her special treasure safe and nearby, and the new treasures she had were great too! Everything in the bag was a new interesting thing the human introduced to her, and she was glad that her love of new and shiny things was appreciated and fed. The woman seemed to always be finding fresh ad exciting things to investigate and, though the ghost was still shy among the others, was starting to warm up to the kind human.

The pumpkaboo shifting and made an odd noise, which grabbed Shae's attention. She smiled, patting the head of the ghost. People around town were a bit antsy about the pumpkin, so she tried to avoid exposing the shy pokemon to them much. She didn't seem to like be social too much as it was, she really didn't want to expose her to any judgement from people who don't understand her soft personality. She dug her hand into the bag, finding the shiny penny and pulling it out. She held it in from of the pumpkin for a few seconds, until the ghost relaxed a bit and trilled with appreciation before placing it back in, the pumpkaboo shifting her feet to take stock of the items inside the bag.

She shifted her arms to be more comfortable, making sure not to bother the pichu much as they headed a bit further into the forest via the path, hoping that nothing would pop out. But, if something did, she knew they could handle themselves and get through it. Though she really would appreciate having a peaceful stroll with her pokemon. Freeing up her opposite arm by letting the mouse settle on her left, she reached down and pet the dog walking at her side gently, so as not to mess up his fur much. He did care about his appearance after all.

Hey Terrene!

I kind of aluded to it a bit in the cbox, but here's the official 'I'm taking a trip and won't be able to post' post!

I'll be most likely unreachable from right after work on Friday 4/27, until Monday 4/30. I'll technically be back home on sunday night, but it won't likely be until like 11pm, so even if I log in there's a 95% chance I won't be posting ehehe.

I'm trying to get everything caught up before then, but either way it's only a few days so I'm sure you guys will be fine~~ I'll be sure to take pictures!

Walking down the too familiar dirt paths that weaved through the chaotic city, the woman huffed as she looked for the house she'd been directed to go to. Why should she help? Apparently her previous help with the wishiwashi and her participation in a few of the events marked her as someone who was 'friendly'. She didn't get it, and the label rubbed her the wrong way. She supposed being seen as friendly wasn't a terrible thing, but it didn't make any sense to her. But the old lady she'd helped months ago, who'd gotten tangled in the woods, had roped her into this. And she begrudgingly accepted - only because the woman twisted her words!

Still, despite her grumblings, there was a small light the flickered in her body at the idea of people actually appreciating things she'd done in the past. Leona was certainly not the type of person to go out of her way to help others very often, but she generally didn't leave someone who needed help right in front of her. That would feel more wrong than actually helping would. So here she was. Apparently her hunting habits were useful for the task ahead, but she'd only gotten the bare details and was given much more vibrant information on where to go to help the teen who needed assistance.

Jolteon was padding next to her, their pace much quicker than those around. It wasn't something she did consciously, but she'd learned quickly that moving fast and quiet was better. So naturally, her pace quickened without her realization, but she was more keenly aware as she passed people around her heading to her destination. Soon enough, the small, humble house came into view. In it's origination, it was likely the cozy home looked very nice. But as the woman approached, it was clear that age had worn down the appearance of this building. The color was stripped from winds, rain, and other normal wear, and the boards, while sturdy, looked like they'd suffered more than their fair share of damage. There were two holes, one on the front and one on the side facing into the city, that could have functioned as windows - however, as it was, there were a couple boards across each one, crooked and badly hammered over the openings, leaving only slits.

As she got closer with the fox at her side, she noticed the beady eyes flash in the slit of the front window - followed by a few clumsy thumps. Her eyebrow quirked, but she didn't react otherwise as she slowed her pace, approaching the door. There weas no patio or steps in front of the house, as it was just literally built on the ground. Stopping, the woman looked the building up and down once more, remembering the description she'd been giving. She followed the directions to a T - and there had been a lot of them - but this place didn't exactly look as nice as the elderly woman had mentioned. Maybe the woman's eyes were going bad, cause her sight was perfect.

Sparing a hesitant glance at the fox, and then at the path behind her, she sighed and brought up a hand to rap on the door. The knocks weren't extremely loud, but certainly not gentle by anyone's standards. From the other side she heard the choked shriek of a girl followed by another flurry of hurried steps away from the door. She rolled her eyes and waited, realizing this was her last chance to turn around and reject helping out the teen. Clearly she didn't want help if she was too scared to even so much as answer the door. Her foot started tapping impatiently as she waited a couple minutes for the door to be answered, the more subtle noise not seeming to further alert the people inside.

Eventually, the door started to creak open, the expression on Leona's face certainly one of annoyance. The teen, guessed from the youth in her features, peeked through a small sliver opening in the door. She pushed the door shut for a couple more moments at seeing the visitor's expression, but then apparently realized that she wasn't here to hurt her and creaked it open just a bit again. "H-hello? Can I h-help you?" She stumbled over basic words, which just added to Leo's annoyance, but she shoved it down. Clearly this girl needed a lot of help. More than she could provide, but this one task shouldn't be too troublesome.

"I was told you needed help tracking down a lost pokemon." The kept her sentence short and concise, not even sure yet this was the teen she was looking for. Though the mystery didn't last long as the girl threw the door open and thrust her arms at Leona as if to hug or drape herself on her. The woman deftly yet barely stepped out of the way of the embrace, leaving the girl sobbing and hugging herself just in the doorway. As if suddenly realizing outside the door was... well, outside, the girl stumbled back into the house, but left the door open as she half turned to the hunter to speak through her gross tears.

"Yes, my dearest Neptune has gone missing! He wandered out of the house, much as it's just so dangerous out there, and I think I saw him heading towards the forest. I always tell him how dangerous the world is, and to never go near the forest, but something must have happened to cause him to go there. And now he's probably lost and alone and crying and..." Her words strarted to become a bit uncomprehensible as her tears and fears started to sync up and make her even more hysterical. What a bother talking to this girl was. So weak and emotional.

The teen took a couple moments and seemed to mostly collect herself, getting to a state where she could speak once more and be better understood. "Please, can't you go check and find him? I don't have any other pokemon and he's never been to the forest before. He's defenseless and I'm defenseless and I need him home right now! Who knows what will happen if he doesn't return quickly? I have nothing else to protect me and I need him to rely on when no one else, not even my family, will care or help me in need! Please go get him!"

Leona was already over this scared brat.

Of all the oddities that seemed to take place during the new season, the one they called 'Winter', the fluffy white stuff on the ground was certainly the strangest. It was stupidly cold, which she hated, and was literally water apparently as well. Which meant that everything was wet, even as it froze and created ice on her boots and clothes. The idea of it alone aggravated her, not to mention this season meant all the trees and flora was basically dead. At least, in the areas affected by the weather more than others. The rainforest was much warmer by nature, and resisted the effects.

Guess that place had at least one positive trait.

But, despite her negative feelings on the weird fluffy snow that decorated this part of the world, she and Jolteon were finding some fun out of the stuff. Even now, she sat peacefully staring away from where the pokemon was, but keeping her watch on her through peripheral vision. The jolteon was covered in snow, to the point that she looked like a snow sculpture. They'd done this a couple other times today, and it yielded pretty hilarious results. All they needed to do now was wait for an unsuspecting victim to come by.

Soon enough, a child was walking up to admire the sculpture that looked similar to the pokemon. She ogled the pokemon for a second, before the jolteon leaped from the snow, a couple inches towards her. She screamed and ran away, leaving the fox snickering and Leona actually laughing. To those who had known her, this would certainly be quite the rare sight to see. But she couldn't help it - she was actually having fun pranking people with the snow. She had never, in the span that her memory lasted, laughed like this before. Or at all, really. Of course, she was a little distracted to think on that much, heading over to the jolteon to reset.

"You got her good. Let's get you prepped for another, shall we?" Leo smiled as the fox's breathy laughter continued, as she moved back into the spot her prints had dug deep into. The woman started to take the disturbed snow lying on the ground around her and piling it on the electric-type's fur once more. She continued in silence with a consistent grin on her face, wondering who their next victim would be. It took quite some time to get the snow sculpture facade perfect, but she wanted it to be perfect and completely believable. Once she was done, she stood and admired her work once more, walking a little away and taking a seat to watch again once more, giddy about whoever would fall for their trap next.

As she did so, she'd stumble as something buried in the snow caught her foot. She managed to keep her balance, giving a mumbled string of profanity as she collected herself, and turned to look. With the snow moved, she noticed there was something red sitting there, that had been completely covered by the snow before. She squatted by it and picked it up, dusting off the extra snow to look at it. It was wrapped in red cloth, and she set to unraveling the present to see what was inside. The wrapping was... oddly sticky.
