Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

 Mimi the Lost
Mimi the Lost
 Posted: Feb 11 2018, 02:37 AM

Mimi is a tall (taller than average), fit (lean not bulky) woman with a light tan, natural auburn hair, and sky blue eyes. She typically stands in a way that denotes self-assurance and readiness; she does not slouch, even in her lower moments. Her typical expression these days is usually one of mild confusion and great curiosity, but she's also prone to cracking gentle, fun-loving grins. Her hair is cut short, styled haphazard but kept practical in a way that suggests she doesn't put much stock in her own appearance beyond how it can serve her ease of movement and ability to see.

Mimi came through from the suffering universe wearing clothes that already looked weathered and worn. Underneath a brown bomber-style jacket (with a ridiculous amount of pockets), she wears a button-down light gray cotton field shirt and khaki pants with thick, leather brown shoes. In one of the pockets, she has a pair of cloth gloves; though, she seldom wears these.

In general, Mimi's outlook on life is a positive, optimistic one. She believes strongly that everything will work out all right in the end, and she generally adapts her mindset to have the events (especially positive events) in her life inform this outlook. This outer view also helps shape her internal view of self. Because she believes in positive outcomes as not only eventual but inevitable, she gains a sense of confidence about the world around her and her own ability in making those positive outcomes happen. Her self-assurance is not one that comes from overblown ego, but strength of character, will, and belief.

As a result of this confidence, Mimi is willing and able to stand up for herself, to assert her ground, and to undertake new, difficult, and/or risky tasks generally without acting in a manner that beats others down and boasts of superiority.

Mimi has a kind of "I'll try anything at least once" personality. She has a consistent, powerful longing for new experiences and an excess of energy to expend to get what she wants. There's always places to see, people to meet, and things to do. As a result, Mimi is often bored by the mundane and the routine and will grow restless and irritable if cooped up for long periods of time. She is easily taken in by stories with lots of adventure, action, and romanticism and can get caught up in telling such stories herself (if she has them). If she is truly, despairingly bored, she may go as far as accept just about any dare given to her to alleviate the boredom.

Mimi does not believe in indulging in excesses regarding her appearance or what she carries on her person. She has a "waste not, want not" mentality and will on occasion show disdain for things that are overly showy, flashy, or unnecessarily cumbersome. This practical mindset extends to her morality as well. Although Mimi is a good-natured person at heart and will lend her help to people or Pokemon in need, she is also very much a survivalist. If surviving means needing to lie, cheat, or steal, she will do those things, having already rationalized them.

Life is short, and Mimi knows this. If she is not doing what she wants to do at that very second, she will conspire to change and force things, so that she is doing precisely what it is she wants to do. This can show itself in her interactions with others (interrupting them willy-nilly to "get to the point," storming off during an argument because she doesn't have TIME for that, and not always paying careful attention when important information is being relayed).

Because Mimi is adventurous and because she is a good-natured person, she often ends up sticking her nose in places where it doesn't belong. In her desire to be helpful and a part of the action, she can end up coming across as an unwanted meddler who really should've minded her own business. Often times, she will jump in before she even knows all the details, sometimes resulting in disastrous effect (such as helping the "bad people" in the situation).

Her meddling can be seen in every day social encounters as well. If she believes two people who aren't friends should be friends, she will try to make their friendship happen. If she hears gossip, she will make sure the person being gossiped about hears about it. She is a person who cannot leave well enough alone.

When given the chance, Mimi goes all-in with being prepared for whatever might be thrown at her. She is naturally prone to collecting (useful things, of course) and hoarding in a way that borders heavily on greed. She does not like people touching her things, asking to borrow her things, or going out of her way to share. She can at times be covetous desiring the useful things, people, or Pokemon that other people have.

Her possessiveness does extend to the people and Pokemon she knows as well. If in a romantic relationship, she will be prone to fits of jealousy. Outside of romantic relationships, her possessiveness tends to manifest as being fiercely protective of her friends and Pokemon and overly involved (hovering) in their lives and affairs. It is not quite at the level of being toxic (although, she may be a bit suspicious and wary of strangers interacting with her friends or Pokemon; she will not forbid them from seeing said strangers or lash out); it could still be considered unhealthy behavior.

In those last few minutes, as she floated up and away, floated so high she felt she might be able to reach out and grab a handful of stars, her life flashed in front of her eyes. The images blurred together, unclear and fading fast. Moving. Always moving.

Yes, as a young girl, she moved around a lot. Family business. Never in one place for long, never knowing anyone for very long. There was distance. Always distance. Parental figures, a mother and father, too busy and impersonal. People that were no more than shadows and passing interest. She was alone.

Outdoors. She spent a lot of time outdoors. Dirty-faced, torn clothes, bandaged knees. The sun's warmth, a constant companion. She remembered school. She remembered hating it. Jobs. Working. She did a lot of work. Different work. Phases. A dumb outfit or two.

There was a time she had been stuck. Stilted. In limbo. Worst days of her life. And then, an opportunity. A whole new world of possibilities: abandoned structures, exotic locales, deep-sea diving. Best days of her life. Always moving. Never stopping. Alone, alone, alone, but it was fine.

Then, the world began to crumble around her. Survival, and even here she thrived. Until she didn't. Backwards and forwards through time. All the times, all at once... She remembered dying. Fell through a rickety old bridge. Drowned at the creek near a childhood home. Shot by a bandit. Activated an ancient trap. Became deathly ill. It had happened all at once, all at the same time even as she continued to live - surviving or thriving - sometimes young, sometimes old. Split so many different ways.

Convergence. Dizzying oneness. Maybe she had never really died. Maybe it had all been in her head. Perhaps it had all been a dream. She was floating and grabbing, and she stopped grabbing because there was no need to anymore. She was drifting away, weightless, fading like her fragmented memories. Going. Going. Gone.
