Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new universe, this new world, and give it purpose. (Our site is best viewed in Firefox or Chrome.)

Events

The biggest event of the
season- of the year, even- is the Anniversary Fair! We also have a lore contest for the month of November, and our plot events are still going strong.

Season

Autumn will be here until
December. All of Terrene is cooling by degrees; those in Ashfield scarcely notice because it never truly gets cold there, though they will notice the decreased rains and humidity. Winds pick up, particularly in the southern areas. Ghost types are more common this season.

The Weaponsmith

A young, novice weaponsmith named Ellamane has been learning the trade for the past year, and in all of her practice has crafted many things that she has no use for. As such, she is selling the various items that she has collected (mostly low- or mid- quality); these would be good for those who are beginners at hunting or combat or such things and simply need something to practice with. She is also willing to craft a couple of new and better quality items for fair-goers, as long as are willing to pay the price, of course. There are limited slots for her custom work, so if you would like one, you might want to snag your spot quickly.

Premade Wares:

  • Bone Skinning Knife, $260
Mid-quality. Single-bladed, 3.5-inch blade, small simple handle wrapped in white cloth. Sharp with average sturdiness.
  • Clay Dagger, $265
Mid-quality. Double-bladed, 4-inch blade, small hilt wrapped in white cloth. Sharp, but thin and fragile.
  • Bone Dagger, $340
Low-quality. Double-bladed, 5-inch blade, small hilt wrapped in white cloth. Average sharpness, average sturdiness.
  • Wood & Bone Spear, $355
Low-quality. 2.5 inch stone leaf-blade spearhead, 4.75 foot wood pole. Average sharpness, but fragile.
  • Wood Bow, $350
Mid-quality. Small longbow. Simple, average sturdiness.
  • Wool Sling, $140
Low-quality. Wool rope sling, loosely tied/woven, slightly uneven. Unbalanced, average sturdiness.

Custom Wares:

0/2 Spots Taken.

Ellamane is comfortable working with Wood, Clay, and Bone and can produce high-quality weapons from these materials. The cost will depend on what it is that you would like her to craft, and from which materials. She can also make aesthetic changes/additions to the item for a small extra fee.

This is my fight song

Like a small boat On the ocean, Sending big waves Into motion. Like how a single word Can make a heart open. I might only have one match, But I can make an explosion. And all those things I didn't say Wrecking balls inside my brain. I will scream them loud tonight. Can you hear my voice this time?
She'd wanted to go to the fair to steal and loot. In all of the revelry and bright attractions, it was more than easy to pick a couple of pockets or find somebody snoring to a corner to rob without being caught. But the damn drowzee was sticking too close to her, beady eyes watching her every movement. Every time she had tried, he had frowned, tugged on her unsuspecting victims's pant leg, and pointed her out. After the first couple of times, she'd even tried to slip through the crowd to lose him, but he seemed to know where she was, even when she was out of sight.

Fucking fatass.

She was reduced to just lurking around the edges of the fair with hands in pockets, peering at the wares in the various stalls, hands itching to swipe something. But she would remember the drowzee dogging her heels and would look down to glare. The stupid creature would stare back at her defiantly; he'd grown some balls sometime between their last attempted spar and now, it seemed.

A weapons stall caught her eye, manned by a girl with her hair cut into a mid-length bob. She paused to look, a faint smile curling the edges of her lips up. "I'll take that one," she said abruptly, pointing to a small knife (bone skinning knife) in the corner of the stall.

Ellamane hadn't noticed the skulking raven-haired woman until right before she approached; her mind didn't quite have time to form the thought that the other woman seemed a mite bit suspicious before the other woman- who she might have called her sister, given their similar hair cut and color and pale eyes and pale skin- began speaking to her, cutting right past any small talk to point out the weapon she desired.

For a reason she couldn't quite place, she didn't exactly trust the woman, but it wasn't enough for her to deny the sale. No, she'd need a more solid reason that just a vague, nameless feeling in her guts before she'd potentially sully her reputation as a weapons merchant, especially since she was so new to the business.

"Of course," Ellamane murmured, eyes flicking down to the weapon being discussed before returning to meet the blues of the woman before her. "Two hundred sixty." As soon as the tokens were in her hand- and as soon as she'd double-counted them- she would pick up the skinning knife and pass it to its new owner.

(-260 tokens, +1 skinning knife! I'll go add this to her index now.)

Cecilia had been drawn to weapons ever since she first arrived in Terrene. She wasn't entirely sure why, but she often felt her hand falling to her belt whenever she felt threatened. There was always the expectation that something useful would be there, something besides her pokemon's pokeball. She felt like she wasn't a complete novice when it came to combat, and the scars on her body attested to that.

Besides that, she had this reoccurring dream where she was presented with three different bows, and from them she was tasked to choose which one she liked best. That was why she stopped immediately when she caught sight of the stall with the weapons hanging up, each one for sale. Many were types that she'd seen hunters use back in Forest Beach Village. She smiled politely at the vendor before her eyes darted to the bow that was presented for sale.

"May I please see that bow?" Cecilia asked. She glanced briefly at the other weapons, but none of them called to her in quite the same way. The bow however, was just what she wanted. Despite this, in the name of striking a good bargain, she carefully regulated her facial expression. If she was allowed to examine the bow, she would test the feel of it in her hand and the tension. She would try to fake that she had some measure of experience using bows, and she absolutely wouldn't betray how impressed she was with the craftsmanship. "How much for this and a quiver of arrows?"

She was prepared to pay the asking price for the bow, and she had a bit of extra in case there was a further charge for ammunition.

While initial notice of the woman, or many of the fair-goers around, hadn't been given, the twinkle in her eye from viewing the weapons was appreciated. As a woman of her craft, Ellamane preferred to sell to those who appreciated her work, who understodd its worth and value over those just looking for a cheap blade. The way this woman's eyes poured over the bow, the pure admiration and desire that gaze held, was exactly what she liked to see in a potential buyer.

She was suspicious, of course, of anyone who would want to see a weapon before purchase. That was how things got stolen, and she was smart enough not to let anyone 'try out' a knife that they could easily slide into a bag or under their clothes. But for the big, beautiful bow, and given the customer's pure interest, she was willing to make an exception. "Take a look. I'm sure you'll be satisfied."

It wasn't long before the buyer was asking about the price for it, along with the arrows she'd already been planning to give alongside the weapon. Wasn't much use for having a bow if there were no ammunition to go with it. "350 tokens, for the bow, 6 arrows, and a strapped bag to keep them in." A 'quiver' as she mentioned was a higher craft of leatherwork and sewing that did not come with being a blacksmith. But the single strap bag with a thin tunnel inside functioned just the same, just didn't look quite as pretty.

Once the tokens were provided and counted, she'd tuck the tokens behind the stand, pulling the bag with arrows out and handing it to the customer. She already had the bow in hand, so no need to take it back just to hand it over.

(-350 tokens, +1 wooden bow & +6 wooden arrows! I'll go add this to her index now.)
