Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new universe, this new world, and give it purpose. (Our site is best viewed in Firefox or Chrome.)

Events

It's the most wonderful
time of the year- meaning, the time of Delibird gifts and of winter festivals! And as always, our plot events are still going strong.

Season

winter will be here until
March. Aside from the western Great Forest, which is too warm, and the Desert Strip, which is too dry, snow begins to fall across the region. The chill of the season has just about every area firmly in its grasp. Ice and Dark types become more common as the temperature drops and the daylight fades.

As they got further into the forest, away from the main civilization and the most commonly travelled areas, the life would grow even more luscious. It was think and humid as the green overtook the rest, especially off the travelled path. Andrew was pushing through the brush to discover more, and with great risk likely came great reward, though if he went too far in, getting back to the path may prove to be more difficult.

But this time his search would prove to be more fruitful, as up ahead he'd find a couple bushes with bright berries. In one bunch was a bundle of Pinap berries, three of the yellow berries plump and squishy to perfection. It was easy to tell these were ready to be eaten. In a crevice of the bushes, a more hidden spot, was a smaller plant that seemed to be living, but not quite as thriving as the life around it. It wasn't ideal conditions, but the blue rawst berries were trying to grow. Of the little nubs that were failing or working on growing, there was one ripe, plump berry he could pick to take with him.

A little further in, he'd find another promising bush, but it wasn't quite as good as those he'd found previously. The bulby pink berries were pretty common, but smaller than normal and with touches of green decorated around the berry. They could be picked now, but would not be ideal for eating. If his interest was solely for study, then the berries would be fine to take, but he'd have to decide whether he wanted to simply observe and leave them, or take them with him.

Andrew found 6 berries! (4 ripe [3 pinap, 1 rawst] and ready to pick, 2 not quite ready [2 razz] to be picked)

He keep a good hold on his compass as they walk through the forest, making sure to remember where they where and where they went. The tree's shake as Gavivi swing from breach to breach, the leaves falling and her excited voice was the only thing that hint to him to where she was. Jezebel was walking slightly away from him but still in sight. She was still slight untrusting of him, but she hasn't tried to run away from him. He just let her be for the most part, giving her a chance to enjoy the walk while Lillian rest.

His risky gamble turned out to be more rewarding then expected. The bright coloring against the green of the plant of the jungle show his target. Seeing that there was no pokemon to contest him for the right to them, Andrew took his time to observe the berry plant. It look like he found three different berries brushes, something that excite him more then finding out that a few where ripe. He harvest the few ripe ones, leaving the two razz berries to mature some more. He also made a mark on his map so remember the place, he will return in a different season to check on them.

Leaving his map open, he track where he was to where he needed to go. It wasn't his strong suit, but he could get the vague sense of how to make there. But first he need to change his companions to one more suited to long travels and the danger that come with them. With a lack of a ball, Adanna was usually away out, but even then she was nesting into his pack. Which is too close to Mirias usually spot for the bug type comfort. So it leave Sovanna and Lillian to take up the slack.

With a few flashes of light, the girls have been change, much to the mudbray disdain. It took him a good minute to get her to go along with the idea, he never hid his thoughts of training her to be a mount. Much to his charge, it took a heavy bribe of a light bigger lunch for her to get moving. Longer still to get the stubborn girl to move into the right way.

x3 pinap berry and x1 rawst berry added to index! (I've also removed your luxury ball and edited Cornelia's info accordingly.)

With the berries harvested, the group would be free to continue on their journey through the forest. The weather up above, if they found breaks in the trees big enough to allow them a peak at the sky, would show that although a bit cloudy, it didn't seem to be bad weather for them to continue. The heat pushed down harshly in the humid environment despite the shade cast by the thick canopy towering above. The occasional skittering of pokemon here and there, on the ground and in the trees, could be heard but otherwise they were free for the morning to push towards the edge of the forest.

But after a few hours of walking, their peaceful stroll would be interrupted by high-pitched screeching. The sounds resonated intermittently though the trees, trying to echo but mostly being drowned out but the thick flora. But Andrew would find that the sound was close enough to the path that he could hear it a bit off. It was a little off his determined path, and couldn't be seen from the path, but certainly close by enough that he'd be able to return to this spot if he needed to in order to ensure he didn't get lost in the deep forest.

Of course, he could choose to ignore the screeches as well, and simply leave the distressed creature to its own volition. But he'd notice the screams would become more rapid and inconsistent, a warbling of crazed sounds pushing through the trees. If he got in the right position, he'd be able to see the little blue bat fluttering around a short distance away, but not what the bat was upset about. There was nothing in his line of sight to show something was attacking it, and it didn't try to run, only fluttered around the same spot it was in.

The morning walk was uneventful, most of the creature of the forest avoid them as they went by. Luckily for them, as that mean the walk was safe and he was undisturbed to the way out of the forest. But nothing can last forever, and Andrew wasn't prideful enough to state he didn't jump when he heard the first scream. It took him a movement to figure out if it was human or pokemon, a second to figure out where it was coming from, and a final one to scoop up Lillian to run along Sovanna toward the edge. If no noise meant that there was danger in the area, then a scream mean danger found a victim.

After what seems like forever, they finally stop next to one of the larger trees in the forest. Andrew breath deeply, leaning against the bark with his eyes unfocused. He wasn't used to running for so long, something that he would need to admen soon. "Okay, I think we are away from the danger. Your okay Sovanna? Lillian? Adanna?" His pokemon all respond in each their own way, surprisingly Sovanna wasn't out of breath. Look like no matter what her personality, she inherit her species drive. If only he could bring that out more, at least he know she would be a good mount one day.

When they finally got their breath back, he brought out his map and compass once more. As they went in a straight line, it wasn't hard to determine where he was. With a sigh of relief, he gather them up to move toward Lion's Plain.

The bat continued to scream, especially when her sharp senses picked up a human walking nearby. She cried out, hoping to get the attention of one who would be kind to the creature. It was always a gamble with their kind, but a long shot was the only thing that could save him. But then, the human turned and ran away, getting further and further away from them. No! That was the wrong way! She shrieked, desperate for the help, for anyone to come and help.

"Shhh, zubat. It's over. Don't pull too much attention to yourself." The mareep laid there in the small clearing next to the tree, wool more stained with red than left its original color, gushing out from the deep wound across his side. His bleep was weak as he called to the bat, who turned and fluttered down next to her. "If I just call out enough, someone will come help! They have to..." The bat trailed off, lingering above the small, young sheep.

" It's okay. It's too late for help, and the last thing I want it to watch you die as I go. Just live a glorious life, for the both of us. The bat landed on the mareep's head, wings craning over his ears. "I... I don't want to lose you." "It's hard, but we both knew this was a possibility. Just... do your best. Become the biggest, fiercest creature. And be happy. I'll always be with you, in spirit." "Anything for you.". And so they would stay like that, until the last beats of life wisp out of the sheep, the zubat not leaving the body that night.

And so Andrew continued on, undisturbed for a few more hours of their journey, fast approaching the edge of the forest but still too far to see it. The group would find that they'd be left alone, the forest feeling oddly quiet and peaceful after the zubat's screams had faded out, leaving them alone as it had not chased them as they continued on their path. The sun hung high in the sky, arching above them and poking through the thicket above them before starting its descent.

The hours dragged on, with little more than a few peaceful chirps or squeaks of smaller, peaceful pokemon anywhere around them. As the sun continued to move through the sky, clouds scarce if they could find a good vantage point to see such, they'd be left alone to continue on. Eventually the light would start to fade, sunset marking the evening looming overhead, where they'd either need to get their camp set up or risk the darkness of night.
