fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

As Terrene leaves behind

Season

Spring will be here until
June. The rainy season begins in the tropical areas; the rest of Terrene begins to thaw and warm, shaking the chill of winter and creeping toward the heat of summer. Fairy and grass types relish in the season of rebirth and renewal!

(Egg post 4)

[Looking to gain some loyalty with my pokemon. Maybe some exp?]

It was a late night as in Ashfield city. Victor had managed to purchase himself and tent and fire starter from the anniversary fair. He no longer needed to sleep in the alley ways of the city. The trainer had a camp set up on the outskirts of Ashfield. It was better for him to be away from others.

Standing by a fire he set up, he occasionally checked in on the egg he had purchased. Victor typically stayed up later than the time he set up camp. It felt peaceful to look up at the night sky with his pokemon. Though, tonight the budew and ledyba were in their pokeballs. Ghost, however stood by him. She didn’t like to sleep before he did. The trainer looked down at the white vulpix who had been staring at him. He smiled before kneeling down to pet her.

“You really should get some rest, girl,” he spoke softly to her. She caressed his hand as she yipped. She couldn’t stand the heat of the campfire, but she enjoyed the warmth that came with her trainers touch. “Well I guess if neither of us are sleeping, we could get some practice in,” said Victor enthusiastically. Ghost didn’t get to use her Moon Blast often and could use some practice focusing the move.

The two stood in their training positions preparing the move. Ghost faced away from the camp to avoid accidentally hitting anything. Victor always made sure she only fired into the open field. “Alright, Ghost! Moon Blast!” Victor called out.

The little fox held her mouth open as pink energy collected in front of her. An orb formed before she fired away. The orb blast forward lighting up the area they were in before it faded. The shot didn't get very far and it wasn’t as large as it could have been. “Not bad, but I guess that’s why we practice, right?” The trainer spoke to the little fox. She yipped in response to her trainer.

Ghost seemed to work better in dangerous situations. When it came to being in a safe place, her attacks were not as strong. Still, he hoped she could produced a stronger blast. It could have been a bad idea, but perhaps he could have his pokemon train together. Victor reached into his pocket to pull out his pokeballs. The trainer let out the Ledyba and Budew as the two came bursting from the lights. Wisp blinked rapidly as it yawned. He had no idea why he was being summoned while it was dark out. Spirit didn’t seem to be upset. He was always ready for any situation the team could face.

“Hey guys, how are you feeling” he asked his pokemon. Wisp looked up at him inquiringly. The seedling just waddled over to him and hitched onto his leg. Victor rubbed Budew’s head to comfort him. Spirit just hovered with his arms crossed. Was he here to fight or what? “Okay...I was thinking we get some training done, Ghost needs a partner to spar with,” he explained to his team. Ghost hopped over to the two in battle ready form. She wagged her tails playfully though.

Spirit noticed the stance and reacted with one of his own. He couldn’t tell if she was challenging him or trying to play but either way he was not going to let her win. Victor saw this as Spirit accepting. So, for now, Wisp would remain clinging to his side.

“Okay, I’ll let you guys figure this out, I’ll guide you, but do not try to hurt--,” Victor attempted to lay down the ground rules, but unfortunately it was interrupted by Spirit flying toward the white fox, tackling her. Ghost rolled with the move and pushed the insect off her. “Damn it, Spirit!” Victor cried out as he watched. He wasn’t too worried though, since he knew Ghost could handle the bug. She beat him before.

“Quit lookin’ at me with those big eyes, princess!” Spirit buzzed as he prepared to go in for another attack.

“Just want to have fun!” The fox yipped in response. The two had very different points of views as to what was happening at the moment. Ghost reacted physically with a tail whip, knocking the insect back once more.

Spirit was not going to stand for being chumped by a goodie two-shoes of a pokemon. He zipped toward Ghost cocking back a fist to attack with a drain punch. Victor watched the fight. He wanted to call it off but he knew his team needed this kind of training. The drain punch would be super effective against Ghost, but she had to practice her reaction time.

The fox jumped out of the way as Spirit’s fist crashed into the ground. The fact that he missed irritated him, but he wouldn’t admit that he was starting to have fun now. Ghost was pleased with herself.

“Nice dodge Ghost, stay focused!” Victor called out. “Spirit, keep up the pressure!” he continued.
Oh, the human didn’t need to tell the bug. He was going to punch as long as his fists could take it and he had a lot of fists. The bug continued to make attempts at striking the fox, unfortunately she was a lot faster than him. Still, she wasn’t sure how long she could keep this up.

Beginning to tire out the too stood opposite each other. Victor could see them panting and wanted to wrap up the training. Unfortunately, Spirit wasn’t the kind to call it quits until he was defeated or won.

“Alright you guys, that’s enough now,” Victor attempted to command. Ghost seemed relieved and wanted to go rest, but the fox and her trainer noticed the bug focusing. Spirit had his fist charging. Energy had been flowing into it as the hand started glowing. What was he doing?

“Hey, Spirit that’s enough attacking. Let’s get back to the tent,” he spoke assertively. Spirit ignored the human and flew forward at Ghost. She saw the attack coming and panicked. She was too exhausted to jump out of the way. Victor tried pulling out his pokeball to return the bug before he could land his focus punch.

Just before the bug made contact, he stopped in his tracks as the energy in his fist faded. Standing between them was a tiny seedling. Wisp had was staring down Spirit with fear in his eyes. The budew was ready to take the hit from Spirit’s attack. Grass pokemon were resistant to fighting attacks but the age difference and power would surely destroy the poor kid.

“Human said e-enough, Spirit..” the seedling managed to mutter words in his fearful stance. Ghost just watched as Wisp stood in her defense. Spirit was immobile. He could have killed the little one and the grass-type stepped in anyway. The bug lowered his fist and backed away. The budew was relieved as he let out a heavy sigh. Victor walked over to his pokemon and kneeled beside them. He placed his palm on Wisp’s head.

“Time to turn in guys,” he said softly. The budew looked up at his trainer and gulped. He could tell he was being praised but man being brave was tough. Victor looked over to Spirit and then to Ghost. “Good work tonight, you two.”

The trainer picked up the seedling and walked toward the tent. Ghost trailed behind him. “You’re getting faster, huh Ghost?” he said to the little fox. She yipped joyfully in response. Before, making it much further, Victor turned back to notice Spirit still hovering where they left him. He was lost in thought. Who would he be if he hurt a baby? He would he be if he hurt someone of his pack.

“Hey. Spirit!” Victor called to the insect. He looked back at the human, with a neutral expression. “Let’s get some rest. Going to need some energy to practice that strong attack, right?”

Spirit wasn’t sure what the human was talking about, but he got a sense of kindness coming from his tone. The ledyba didn’t like being treated like a youngling, but it wasn’t so bad to be cared for either. The bug zipped over to the human as the group continued to the tent to get some sleep. Perhaps they’d sleep in.

+1 bravery for Wisp. +1 to PRESH score for Wisp.

This was a fun read! It was great to see a little scene of training, and the different personalities on the team. Also, brownie points for playing Spirit's low loyalty out pretty well. He fought not because Victor said so, but because he wanted to. And actively disobeyed Victor, because he wasn't done fighting xD Glad Wisp didn't get hurt!!!
