Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

As Terrene leaves behind
the long, dark nights, their minds turn to friendship and romance at the second annual speed dating! And don't miss out on the clover hunt or the poetry season. Our plot event, alpha & omega, is drawing closer to its end, but is still going strong for now.

Season

Spring will be here until
June. The rainy season begins in the tropical areas; the rest of Terrene begins to thaw and warm, shaking the chill of winter and creeping toward the heat of summer. Fairy and grass types relish in the season of rebirth and renewal!

[Just trying to get a little loyalty for Grape and Sweet Pea. Also picking up a delibird delivery present!]

After her team's painful little adventure in the forest, Cecilia chose to play it safe for a bit. Both she and her pokemon had been badly injured. Grape recovered the fastest. A trip to the pokemon center had him feeling much better, but Cecilia and Sweet Pea both would need more time to heal. The little rowlet's wing had been broken, and it had needed to be splinted. The workers at the small Forest Beach pokemon center had instructed Cecilia not to have Sweet Pea battle or fly until the bone was mended.

Thus, Cecilia simply carried the little owl everywhere with her. She either held Sweet Pea in her arms or had her perched on her shoulder. The rowlet was much easier to handle than Grape had been and seemed to simply have a gentle personality. She was also very small, light, and delightfully soft and snuggly.

Cecilia had been instructed to take it easy for a bit with her injury as well, but she also needed to exercise to avoid stiffness. She compromised by taking short walks around the village at dusk accompanied by her nocturnal pokemon. Grape was happy for the exercise, though he'd rather be hunting in earnest. He climbed on the sides of the buildings and spread his wings to glide between rooftops and tree branches. Sweet Pea hooted enviously, batting her good wing in frustration.

Sweet Pea was still a very young pokemon, not much more than a baby really. She worried that she might never be able to fly again, despite Grape's reassurances that she would. Cecilia's hand came up and gave the little owl a comforting pat on the back. The rowlet was perched on her shoulder at the moment, and they were watching the sky go orange and then purple as the sun set below the forest treetops. The air had grown frigid and the whole village was coated in a light dusting of snow. The village's proximity to the sea actually kept temperatures rather moderate but they did enjoy a fair deal of snow in the winter time. Neither of the flying type pokemon were huge fans of the cold weather but both of them had great eyesight.

Grape saw a red and white pokemon running into the forest and swooped down to inform the others. Landing in front of his trainer, he began chattering and pointing in the direction of the fleeing pokemon. Cecilia looked at Grape and then back in the direction that he was pointing with his claw. "Grape no, we can't go hunting again yet. We're not going into the forest tonight." Cecilia told her pokemon firmly. Grape's face wilted with disappointment. "Once we're all feeling better, we'll do more training and maybe more hunting."

As they continued, however, Grape and Sweet Pea began seeing strange birdlike footprints in the snow. Once she was close enough, Cecilia could see the footprints too. She wasn't trying to follow them, but she could't help being curious. She was still learning about many of the different pokemon in the world, and she really did want to see what kind of pokemon had left the prints. "We're not going into the forest," she insisted to her pokemon, "but I think it's fine for us to look around as long as we stay outside of it."

Grape grinned, showing his fangs. He didn't understand all of her words but he knew from her expression that she was intrigued. The hunt was on!

Grape swooped around, sliding easily and silently through the cold air. He moved between the sparse trees that separated the village from the main forest as his eyes searched for signs of the mysterious pokemon. It was Sweet Pea that found the creature, however, and she began hooting and pointing with her good wing when she caught sight of the small red and white bird.

The creature seemed to be hiding some kind of package in an empty tree trunk. Cecilia took out her pokedex and began attempting to look up the creature in the fading light. "A Delibird," Cecilia read out loud. "They normally live in the mountains. What would one be doing so near the village?" She crouched behind a tree, trying not to be seen as the delibird left its package in the tree trunk and took off into the forest.

Once it was gone, Cecilia carefully crept forward to see what had been left behind. Grape landed on the snowy ground beside his trainer, just as curious as she was. She knelt on the ground, not caring that the snow instantly soaked through her pants. She reached cautiously into the trunk, unsure if whatever inside would bite her. However, she was able to safely pull out a round package wrapped in yellow cloth and a shimmery gray string. Turning it in her hands, she noticed a strange lump on it as well.

"What is this?" Cecilia whispered with both Grape and Sweet Pea leaning down to get a good look at the item that she held. "Well, I guess there's just one way to find out..."

The little package held a couple of glittery surprises. Cecilia found a stone that shone from with a dazzling light. That was definitely special, though she wasn't sure what it might be used for. She felt like it must be valuable. The yellow wrapping contained a smaller pouch made from a fine, sheer material. This too seemed to glow with such ferocity that it seemed difficult to even look at directly. The bag itself was made so that the light could shine through but it still managed to hold the fine bright dust. It was tiny and light, which gave Cecilia a great idea.

"How's this, Sweet Pea?" Cecilia asked as she used the silver string to tie the little pouch around the rowlet's neck in a neat little bow. "Next time we get into a battle, maybe this will help keep you a little safer. I imagine it'll be tough for anyone to land a hit on you when they can't look right at you."

The rowlet perked up a bit, swaying from side to side to test the weight of the little object around her neck. It didn't feel heavy, and she certainly hadn't enjoyed being hurt. Anything that might prevent pain like that in the future was appreciated. She gave a thankful little chirp.

Grape looked a bit skeptical. Sure Sweet Pea would be harder to hit, but she wasn't about to sneak up on anyone wearing something that grabbed attention like that. He wouldn't want to wear it, but maybe it would help the little owl.

Cecilia put the stone away in her own pack and looked around for the delibird. She had a feeling that though she couldn't see it, it wasn't far away. Cecilia pulled a bit of bread and a berry from her pack and placed it in the stump where she'd found the gift. "It's always important to say 'thank you' when you receive a present." She instructed her pokemon, though neither of them understood her words.

The group continued to walk on, keeping just outside the forest along the fringes of the village. All of them were keeping a look out for more of the strange gift-giving pokemon, but none of them were able to spot any more. After a while, the cold began to really get to everyone. Grape began to complain verbally, making irritated chatters and hissing noises. Sweet Pea kept quiet but began to shiver.

Cecilia lifted the rowlet from her shoulder and instead held her tight against her chest, shielding her against the biting wind with her coat. Fat puffy snowflakes were beginning to fall from the sky and land heavy upon the ground and tree boughs. The sight made Cecilia hungry, causing her to think of warm blazing fires and cinnamon buns coated in gooey frosting. "Okay, I think that's enough exercise. Let's head back guys."

Cecilia began leading her team back to the safety and shelter of the main village. All of them were eager for warmth and rest and they felt grateful for the gifts they'd been given.
