Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new universe, this new world, and give it purpose. (Our site is best viewed in Firefox or Chrome.)

Events

It's the most wonderful
time of the year- meaning, the time of Delibird gifts and of winter festivals! And as always, our plot events are still going strong.

Season

winter will be here until
March. Aside from the western Great Forest, which is too warm, and the Desert Strip, which is too dry, snow begins to fall across the region. The chill of the season has just about every area firmly in its grasp. Ice and Dark types become more common as the temperature drops and the daylight fades.

Blue felt like she was walking on rocks as she traversed through the land. Her boots brushed against some dry roots in the dirt, probably dead from the cold. The girl clutched a medium small bag of rocks, as she had to actual weapons. Chuck had pressured her into hunting for the shop, as he wanted a little bit of variety in the selection aside from fish.

... Hopefully she won't have to think about it much. She would have refused to hunt herself, but she just couldn't... Chuck seemed really busy and she felt like she was of no help at all if she didn't do as said. Sasha didn't seem too fazed about leaving the house, even timid Mary seemed to be excited to be back at the Desert Strip. The only one who seemed to pout was little Pyro, who was calmly sitting in the pack on Blue's back. The stunky let out the occasional whine, alone in the pack with Fluffy's pokeball.

Blue sighed as she glanced up at the sky, and soon took out a rock from the bag. She began to toss it in the air, catching it and repeating the process.

"I can't believe I'm here." Blue suddenly murmured, causing Sasha to glance up. "I mean, not here, as in hunting. But I'm glad I'm here because of Chuck. He's a really good person." The girl flashed a smile as she stopped tossing the rock and looked down at the mareep. The sheep bleated quietly in response, the sarcasm leaking through even with a differing language.

"Ah, right.. We can't really talk... I'm sorry, Sashi." Blue chuckled awkwardly, looking up and beginning to juggle the rock single-handedly again. Sasha bleated another statement and started walking ahead. The sheep had seemed to detect more company, more pokemon.

Blue gulped, and followed close behind.

@BestBella

(No small bitey sandile yet, but uh..)

The first thing Bella and her companions would hear was a very soft and very pathetic cry. //No, my babies!//

And then they would come upon an interesting scene.

Closest to the approaching group, with her back to them, was a small plant-like creature- at least, according to appearances. She was primarily brown, with two little feet and a roundish middle, and three "branches" on her head that ended in round green spheres. She stood about a foot and a half tall, and she looked like a small bush or tree. Despite appearances, however, this creature was made entirely of rock. The Bonsly was surrounded by three green berries, the Salac berries that were native to this area. The little Pokemon was doing her absolute best to position herself between the berries and those who were trying to take the "babies."

One of the Bonsly's opponents would be a familiar sight to Blue, reminding them of someone particularly venomous that they met once. A large, muscular snake with a bladed tail was attempting to assault the Bonsly and rob her of her berries. But this snake was not alone, no, she had a partner... who was riding atop her body as if the large snake were her personal mount.

The partner was a purple cat, a Purrloin, a pest most common in demon-infested Ashfield, but notable anywhere. She rode the snake past the false tree, swiping out at it with a claw. The claw barely made contact, as attacking from snake-back wasn't exactly practical, plus the fact that the Bonsly was made of hardened stone made such attacks not incredibly effective. Still, the Bonsly cried out and doubled her efforts to gather all her berries in one pile, shuffling them along with her feet.

The cat demanded with a yowl, //Relinquish those berries, troll!//

Sasha felt slightly infuriated as she noticed the scene currently playing out. A purrloin and seviper duo actually harassing a small bonsly for food. The fact that there was a seviper made her even more pissed off.

The mareep glanced over at Mary, who seemed... Actually kind of mad as well. The dog had a eerily angry expression upon her face, despite usually being extremely timid. Sasha, tempted to ask, opened her mouth to speak. "(You think we should intervene?)" Were the words that came out instead.

"(Yeah.)" The houndour replied, stomping through the dirt. Sasha, obviously weirded out, started walking beside her. She glanced back, and saw the human readying a rock to throw... Quite reluctantly. She sighed and turned her head back to the scene.

"(Hey! What in the everloving fuck do you think you're doing!)"

Mary growled as she crouched down. She was too used to fighting over food, since her old pack seemed to get into those frequently. The houndour growled louder, ready to fight to stop this... Fight? Eh, ironic but still.

Blue whimpered as she clutched the rock in her hand. Pyro was now shuffling around in the bag, his motives unknown. She was sort of anxious seeing the seviper out of everything, for she thought it was Venom from her encounters with Ri. Then again, Venom isn't that cooperative.

@BestBella

//ARE YOU BLIND, YOU FIEND?// was the kitten's needlessly loud reply, half-screamed half-hissed at the intruders, //I'm trying to retrieve these berries, to nourish and strengthen myself and my friend! This rock-troll does not eat them, no, she lets them go to waste all the while claiming they are her children!//

//Ssshe is an inssane one, ssshe iss!// The serpent interjected with a comment of her own as the the pair of them circled around the panicking fake tree.

The fur along the kitten's spine raised up, and he stared hard at Sasha and Mary as he asked, //So! Are you with us, sheep and hound, as warriors, or against us, as villains?//

It was apparently all very dramatic in the mind of the kitten, but it was clear that to him, there was a good and a bad to this, and he was giving the Mareep and Houndour a chance to pick their side.

The Bonsly, meanwhile, did nothing more than squeak and spin in circles, following the path of the snake and her rider as they circled her, always keeping herself between her green berries and her attackers. She said nothing to defend herself; in fact, this whole time, she had never even glanced at Blue or any of the Pokemon associated with her, having eyes only for the Pokemon that had already begun the battle.

Sasha would have considered joining the purrloin and seviper, even if it was for a second, if it weren't for Mary's seemingly hostile attitude towards them... The houndour was growling loudly at them, crouching down and ready to attack. Mary wasn't normally like this, so the mareep decided to go with her friend's judgement.

Sasha followed the houndour as she boldly stood by the bonsly, glaring at the duo. The mareep took her place beside the dog and glanced down at the rock tree. She decided to take a moment to process what the hell was happening. First off, this seviper and purrloin are very overdramatic. This bonsly was insane, regarding their statement, for letting berries go to waste, but if Mary was fighting for it, so was she. As Sasha thought, she realized something. The bonsly never outright stated that it wouldn't eat the berries, right? Maybe the thieving duo got their facts wrong, and are just plain stealing?

"(Go find your own food instead of just stealing, you pathetic swines!)"

Mary's voice caught Sasha off guard for a second or two. The mareep sighed, knowing where this was going. She glanced down at the spinning bonsly. "(Hey, if we're fighting for you, you're fighting with us. Got that, hotshot?)" The sheep muttered to the rock before turning to face the cat and snake. The houndour beside her started to have a small flicker of fire appear in her mouth.

Meanwhile, Blue was silently panicking over the situation. Not only was a fight seeming to start, Pyro had managed to struggle out of the bag. The stunky seemed to hiss a bit before trying to run over to the scene.

The girl murmured frightened statements to herself before she let go of the bag of rocks in her hand and instinctively grabbed an empty pokeball she had. Before Pyro could get out of reach, Blue grabbed the baby, trying to be gentle. She took the pokeball and prodded it against his side, and the pokemon suddenly vanished. The pokeball containing him shook a bit before finally going still.

Blue took a deep breath and set the pokeball in her pack before scooting back to the bag of rocks. She winced as she thought of the concept of throwing rocks at pokemon. It seemed... Inhuman. But if anyone on her team seemed to be in danger, she would have to do it. Or at least try.

Besides, she could always send Fluffy out to guillotine everything.

@BestBella

//Of courssse, finding our own food, why didn't we think of that? Oh wait, we did, but we live in the desert and it's the middle of winter and yet this pssssycho is just letting berries rot when they could be filling sssomeone's ssstomach.//

Never had a voice sounded more sarcastic than the Seviper's.

//No matter,// The Purrloin stated with a tone of finality and a theatrical dismissive gesture of one of his paws, //they've made their choice...//

//Ssure. They can be our food. Jusst like the pampered human's pet ssays, right? Find your own food? Heh... just found our nexsst meal.//

The Bonsly looked surprised when the Mareep spoke to her, jumping a little bit, as if she hadn't noticed them before that very moment. //My babies! I can't leave them. They'll be... eaten!// The Bonsly murmured in response to Shasha's orders, hovering over her gathered berries with an intense, wide-eyed expression on her face.

The cat-and-snake duo were done talking. As the snake slithered back around, cat still perched atop her, she picked up speed, dashing directly for the Houndour that had talked down to them, fangs bared. As they got close, she whipped out her neck and tried to sink her fangs into the canine's shoulder, simultaneously licking at the skin beneath the fur, long tongue tingling with a strange power.

The Purrloin remained non-offensive this round. He growled at the Houndour and Mareep, knowing that an early strategic advantage could turn the tide of the battle, and then added a wink and a knowing look at the hound for good measure, as if to say, no, you won't be hurting us today, will you?

If the snake's bite had made good contact, and she was able to actually get a firm grip on the hound, she'd try to keep her jaw clenched and attempt to drag the canine down to the ground. If her attacks missed or if the bite hadn't made good enough contact to really sink her teeth into the dog's flesh, she'd keep her momentum going, taking her in another loop around the group, trying to remain at a distance while the other side retaliated.

Mary growled loudly at the seviper's remark, the houndour wanting to launch herself at them right there and then. Pampered? Hah! Well, in getting constant pets from the human, yeah, but her human seemed to do that with every pokemon. She forced herself to stay still, not wanting to run headfirst into potential quick death. Sasha seemed to be arguing with the bonsly, but the houndour didn't want to let her guard down, and thus completely ignored the conversation.

Then the fight seemed to begin. The stupid purrloin started by growling rather loudly, to the point of annoying. At first, Mary tried to pay no attention. She just focused on her plan, eying where to strike and the plot slowly came together in her mind. As she came to her conclusion, the purrloin... Winked at her? Very awkward, very uncomfortable, very attack-reducing.

Before the hound could smack that dramatic kitty's ass off the seviper, said snake bit harshly into her shoulder. Mary yowled in pain and tried to separate herself from the fangs, and winced even more as she felt a tongue on her skin. Freaking disgusting. The houndour was slow at first, her limbs failing to move for a second, but she immediately backed off from the bite. Unfortunately, it came at a cost and some of the flesh on her shoulder decided to stay in the seviper's fangs.

Mary staggered back and decided now would be the time to hit. As she watched the snake move, she took her chance to attack. The houndour launched the fire she had been preparing, aiming straight for the seviper, who seemed to be the bigger threat here.

Sasha hissed at the bonsly, refusing to let it get away with its stubbornness. "(Listen, if you don't help us, those babies of yours are as good as dead anyways if we lose.)" The mareep was about to add on until the growling hit, and the seviper attacked. As it withdrew, Sasha growled at the two, meaning it this time.

The mareep decided that she should help as well unlike the bonsly, and immediately crouched down. She summoned up all of her strength, reduced, but all of it. Sasha waited until Mary was done with the fire to charge at the duo. She didn't give a damn who she hit, as long as she caused damage.

Blue meanwhile panicked in the background, fearfully rushing through her bag for Fluffy's pokeball and some bread for motivation. She knew this was going to end badly, and she could have prevented it! Aaagh! The girl glanced up again and frantically started searching more, the sight of her houndour bleeding making her want to either faint or vomit.

@BestBella

The Bonsly's wide eyes impossibly grew even wider as the electric sheep sort-of-but-not-really threatened the lives of her babies. //D-dead!?// She stuttered, her voice smaller and yet more panicky than it previously had been. She shifted her weight back and forth from foot to foot in rapid fashion, suddenly extremely unsure about what to do. Fight? But to fight she'd have to leave her babies undefended. She had no long-range abilities. And leaving her babies defenseless was unacceptable! No, her best choice was to wait and see who the winners were after the dust settled and the battle between these four was ended. She'd pick off the survivors if she had to, if they wanted to go after her babies.

Besides, was that dog using fire?! No thank you, she wanted none of that. Fire was dangerous to seed babies and to trees. She would stay far away from the fire, thank you very much.

The Seviper let the small chuck of fur and flesh slide down her throat. It was barely more than a crumb to a Pokemon of her size and girth. It wasn't even enough to be a proper appetizer.

As they began to round about again, the Seviper searching for her canine victim once again, the sheep came flying from out of nowhere, barely nicking the snake but hitting the unfortunate Purrloin fairly solidly on its back and rump. The sheep went sailing clean over the Seviper's accordion body, and the Purrloin was knocked off his noble snake steed and was sent sprawling in the dirt and dust. The air was knocked entirely out of him, and he struggled for a moment, lying on the ground, to regain his breath.

The Seviper, sans cat, ended its circular path and instead cut straight across to where the Houndour was. The Seviper hadn't even registered the ember splashing hotly on her tail in the moments before the Mareep attacked, though somewhere in her subconscious she must have realized she had been hurt. Nevertheless it did not affect her as she charged forward, aiming to bite at the Houndour again. Preferably, she'd bite it in its haughty little face, but she'd be satisfied with making contact anywhere with her long fangs.

Sasha had to catch her breath as she was sent flying over the seviper, purrloin falling with her. The mareep bleated for a second as she hit the ground, but silenced herself as she noticed the enemy cat sprawled on the dirt.

Sasha saw her chance and stood up. She then sprinted over to the cat. The mareep stood over the purrloin, an angry expression clear upon her face. She sighed and felt a spark of electricity running through her wool. Sasha blinked and let the electricity expel towards the cat. Once she stopped the electricity, she glanced back at the bonsly and Mary. Stupid rock still wasn't doing anything. What was she doing, then? If the bonsly was gonna be bratty, the least she could do was flee the scene and not get in the way of the others.

Sasha sighed again and braced herself for another attack. The sheep nodded to herself, jumped, and aimed to basically crush the purrloin.

Meanwhile, Mary felt slight victory once her fire hit the snake, although it didn't seem to affect the seviper much. Her usual panic seemed to rise up in her again as the seviper jumped to bite at her again. She ducked, and felt a cold chill down her spine as the long fangs raked themselves along her back. The houndour quickly backed away from the seviper and began to charge up her fire again.

Mary again decided to pinpoint where she would hit, nodding to herself as she realized what to do. She should probably aim for the throat, or any other vital place to hit. Yeah, that'd be good.

The dog released her fire at the seviper, aiming the best she could manage. If the seviper were to approach her, she'd prepare more fire.

In the distance, Blue had managed to get Fluffy out of her pokeball. The downside was that the ant would not budge. The human tried to coax the durant to go help out, but she refused. Although Blue didn't seem angry, she seemed just slightly impatient.

@BestBella

The Purrloin had no chance from the moment the sheep first connected with him in the headbutt- with the wind knocked out of him, he was a sitting duck, and the sheep had no qualms with kicking a cat while he was down, it seemed. Though he tried to twist out of the way to dodge the streak of electricity, he was too slow, too dazed. As it struck him, he felt his whole body tingle. Still struggling to get up and to face the thrice-cursed sheep head on, he noticed his muscles were... not responding as fast as they should. It was as he feared: paralysis. A dirty trick from a mongrel who was afraid of a fair fight.

But he could not give in! No, that would be shameful and dishonorable. He focused all of his energy in getting his muscles to move, to obey what his mind was telling them to do. The movements were sluggish and halted, but he was nearly in a seated position already-

And then he was abruptly slammed into by the Mareep and crushed against the ground. There was a popping sound as his front left arm became dislocated, forced out of its socket by the force of the Mareep's attack. The cat let out a hideous screaming yowl.

Unfortunately for the Purrloin, his partner was a little caught up in her battle against the Houndour. The snake was in close quarters with the hound now, circling tightly around. She attempted to dodge the ember that she anticipated was coming; she ducked and leaned to one side, but was still hit with much of the stinging, burning embers that blackened spots of his scales.

But he was far from done with the hound. Moving in again for a bite, instead of biting and running, the Seviper then turned about suddenly and stared directly at Mary. Her eyes flashed. //Fight for your life, puppy, else you'll be my meal and become nothing more than excrement drying under the harsh sun.//

Sasha flopped onto the ground as she finished her attack on the purrloin. The yowl from the cat and the popping sent chills down her spine. Holy hell. She couldn't help but feel a little pity for the pokemon. The mareep stood up again and noticed the fight nearby. The bonsly was still doing nothing, the little shit-colored rock.

Sasha then noticed the wounds Mary was bearing, a chuck of her shoulder missing and a couple marks along her back. The seviper took another chance at the bite, this time tearing through the other shoulder. Sasha feared for if the bite had been a bit closer, since it would have torn the neck.

The mareep started to panic for her friend, and shivered a bit before turning to the purrloin. "(Looks like your friend doesn't give a crap about you. Now if you'll excuse me, my friend is close to dying and I need to help.)" Sasha was tempted to add a comment along the lines of 'unlike that seviper,' but she wasn't feeling like adding on pettiness.

She hissed under her breath, and charged at the seviper. Sasha let out a sort of war cry before trying to slam into the snake.

Mary winced as she stood and took the bite. She could feel the blood and life flowing over her fur. The dog started to fear for her life, and she tried to summon up more fire in an attempt to fight back.

She couldn't move. Oh god, why couldn't she move? Her limbs felt stiff, and the houndour started to panic even more. Her eyes stared at the seviper, and she started to feel rather disoriented from the world. Mary couldn't focus on much. She didn't even notice Sasha's loud bleating.

In the background, Blue was still trying to coax the ant to fight. She offered bribes, such as bread, but Fluffy still refused. The durant even tried to escape, but as soon as Blue held up the pokeball, she stayed put.

Blue was having a near anxiety attack. She felt almost irritated with the ant, but did not dare shout. She wasn't below intimidation, but she felt like using it wouldn't help the situation at hand. Blue's arms fidgeted while her legs couldn't seem to stop shaking.

The human feared the worse to happen to her pokemon, and excessive unwanted thoughts swarmed her head. Even through this array of fears, she managed to grab the bag of rocks that she had set down.

@BestBella

Getting himself under control, the Purrloin managed to bear his teeth at the sheep that mocked him so. Pain pulsed, throbbed, seared through his shoulder, his arm, his side, his neck. Turning her words against her, as soon as she made the statement that she was going to go help her friend, the cat wasted no time in yowling out a warning to the Seviper.

//Watch out!//

Aptly warned, the Seviper immediately responded to the voice she knew so well and made a reckless dodge, putting the Houndour between her on the charging sheep. She couldn't quite get her tail out of the way entirely, so it was trampled somewhat, but she was significantly less hurt than she would have otherwise been.

Moving quickly, the Seviper attempted to curl and tighten her body around the Houndour, attempting to wrap the creature in long and muscular body. This way, the sheep couldn't attack her without risking damage to her partner. If the wrap succeeded, she'd then attempt to sink her fangs into the dog's neck or back. If the wrap failed, she'd slither back in the general direction of the Purrloin, attempting to put some distance between herself and the sheep and dog.

The Purrloin, despite his pain and fairly grave injuries, was not willing to be entirely out of this battle. Unfortunately, the paralysis still had a firm grip on his body; he found he couldn't so much as turn his head to properly see what was going on.

The Bonsly, meanwhile, had suddenly had a bright idea. She... what if she just... left... while they were all distracted? It had taken her quite a while to reach the logical conclusion, but now that she had reached it, she began scooting her berries along with her feet, keeping them together as she began an attempt at leaving the scene. It was... slow progress.

Sasha prematurely panicked as she heard the purrloin shout. Shit, karma. She braced herself as her attack as dodged by the large seviper. She fell harshly onto the ground, next to Mary. She groaned.

"(Mary, we need to get- Holy shit!)" The mareep shrieked and was seemed to be tossed back slightly as the large snake wrapped itself around the houndour. Sasha's eyes grew wide and she stumbled up. She didn't know what to do. She couldn't just attack. Mary was already pretty wounded, and the risk of hitting the houndour restrained her from jumping at the two.

Blue winced to herself, terrified of the scene that awaited her. The human screamed at herself inside her head, urging her to do something. She whimpered, and snatched Fluffy under her arm. The durant hissed and squealed as Blue zipped across the field, rock bag in one hand and Fluffy in the other.

The human stopped when she appeared in front of the cat, dropping the pokemon in her arm and facing the nearby trio. Blue grabbed a rock and aimed for the seviper. She didn't throw. She was too scared. She could only watch in horror at the dog and snake.

Fluffy hit the dirt with a small 'oof.' The metallic ant hissed slightly at the human and noticed the purrloin sprawled on the ground. It seemed harmless, too much in pain to do anything... She slowly felt the need for blood. The durant took her pincers and attempted to end the cat in a quick manner.

Mary soon began to move again, breaking from her still state. As she started to stumble back, Sasha fell close next to her. There was a small ringing in her ears still, and she couldn't focus on what the sheep was saying until she was tossed away and the seviper started to constrict around her.

The houndour coughed for a second, the world seeming to spin around her. It hurt. Why was she so confident before? What was she thinking? As the ringing in her ears grew louder, Mary could feel more pain surround her.

One thing she noticed though was the lowering head of the snake. Not another bite. She struggled to focus, but the dog managed to get herself to face the seviper face to face. If she died, oh Arceus take pity.

Mary growled to herself, and let loose fire right in the snake's face, even attempting to hit the inside of the mouth.

The Houndour's ember didn't exactly strike true- the Seviper dodged her head slightly to the left, but moved too slow. Thus the spray of burning embers didn't strike her whole face and mouth, but scattered across the side of her head and her upper body. Still, it was enough to finally end the snake's reign of terror, the creature's eyes fluttered before her body went limp, still coiled loosely about Mary but having no more grip on her.

The Durant, meanwhile, would not have her blood-thirst sated; no, her kill was stolen from right underneath her nose. The cat had managed to finally break through his paralysis enough to sort of crab-crawl backwards in a half-crawl half-slide sort of movement, barely dodging the ant's fierce mandibles. However, the Durant never got a second shot at the purple cat as a new creature scuttled onto the scene.

He had blended in fantastically against the drab desert ground, which explained why neither the Durant nor the Purrloin would have been able to see him coming until the last moment. He snuck up on them all and snapped his jaws around the kitten's middle, locking his jaw in place until the thing quite its wiggling. Then he moved his jaws toward the cat's neck and clamped down a second time, quickly ending the unfortunate thing's life.

//Incompetent,// He hissed at the bug in a low, condescending tone. The thing couldn't even manage to finish off a half-dead stray with one broken arm. It was pathetic, honestly. //Leave the killing to those who are good at it, half-pint-half-wit.//

But then he abandoned the cat corpse; as tasty as it surely would be to eat its sweet meats, that Bonsly kicking around the berries looked like a fun time. Literally, it was like taking candy from a baby. And who could resist taking candy from a baby?

//Hey honey, what you got there?// He hissed at her, approaching from behind, body low to the ground.

The Bonsly flinched quite obviously and squeaked, //My babies!//

The Sandile cackled hoarsely.

Mary wasn't ready to die, as she watched her fire seem to miss the snake.She panicked, and lowered her head. The dog slowly braced herself to black out forever.

But nothing happened. No pain, no blood, no anything. Mary dared to look up and opened her eyes. The seviper lied limp on the ground, coiled around her but grip loosened. Was... Was it dead? The houndour started bawling and shaking violently. She was greeted with the warm wool of Sasha.

"(H-holy shit, I thought I lost you! Let me do that dangerous stuff for you, please! Just don't scare me like that!)" Sasha murmured, embracing the dog the best she could. But as the houndour started to wince at her wounds, the mareep backed down. In return, the human had approached and was now trying to hug the dog instead. At first she winced, but stopped as the girl quickly stopped and dug into her backpack.

As the human started to pick up and carry the houndour away from the seviper, Sasha took it upon herself to get revenge. The mareep jumped up and tried to land harshly on the snake's head before falling off and walking towards Fluffy, even if she missed the hit.

She addressed the two demons with a small nod, aiming more towards the alive one of the two. She watched as the sandile murmured some horrible but true words at the durant. Fluffy hissed loudly and seemed to aim to attack before Sasha smacked the ant in the head.

"(Flu, before you can open that hissy-fissy-fucked up mouth of yours, thank this pokemon for killing this cat. You would have let it get away without them.)"
Sasha growled, and turned her gaze to the new arrival. As said arrival started to address the bonsly, anger within her started to burn brightly.

"(What the hell!? You leave us to die for stupid berries!)" Sasha hissed the the rock, waving her paws in a dramatic manner. She glanced over at the sandile, and muttered. "(You want me to leave this crime scene or..?)"

Meanwhile, Fluffy had left Sasha and the demon after the total onslaught of insults to her. She hissed and muttered curses to herself as she shuffled over to the human, who actually doesn't insult her like the others do. The girl was gingerly handling the houndour in her lap, trying to make her drink some sort of liquid. Disgusting.

Still, the ant crawled into the pack lying nearby. She wanted to escape this hideous sun, anyways.
