Ivan

It was only when he was out in the plains that Ivan could release his darker pokemon. He city only ever allowed him to have his elektrike walk beside him. The rattata and the duskull had just been let out of their balls to stretch. The demon rodent was taking some time to breath in the air around her. It was nice to be out of the ball. She couldn’t understand why people were throwing rocks at her before but the human returned her to her safe place where they couldn’t harm her.

Grimm hated the pokeball. He didn’t enjoy being confined to any single space for too long. The ghost enjoyed drifting until he found something of interest to him. Typically this would be suffering, scuffles, murder. Not by him of course. It was much more thrilling to watch others do this. He enjoyed initiating the trouble or torture. There was no reason to torture the human or his pokemon though. They were the ones he’d rely on to get into trouble.

Ivan was just walking along the plains, wondering if he could find a stream to get some water. He couldn’t get any from the city since they had shunned him. No one would allow him to purchase any. It was why he had to hunt for everything he needed. It was probably smart for him to obtain a weapon of some sorts eventually. One that wasn’t his pokemon of course, as useful as they were.

Electrike and rattata continued to walk beside their trainer, one on each side of him. They didn’t hate each other but they didn’t exactly get along. The pup was too playful for the rodents taste. She liked to focus on things that mattered, such as food and survival. Grimm was floating behind Ivan as usual. He preferred it this way. He was an observer after all. Only going ahead to act on his own agenda.

Finally coming across a stream, Ivan wondered if it was a good idea to follow it to a larger body of water. Perhaps not since there could be a bunch of wild pokemon drinking from it. The stream seemed safer for now. The green wolf rushed over to the water to take a few sips. The rattata did eventually as well but took her time strolling over to it. She didn’t like to rush ahead of Ivan. Grimm needed no water however so he just peered around to see if anything would sneak up on the group.

@Shasyu

The stream flowed casually through the plains, the water pushing as it was pulled by natural forces. Though it was not a fast current, the movement was certainly present as it moved along. Aside from the normal dirt and plants that rested beneath the surface, the water seemed clean enough and satisfactory to drink. There was, however, one who was less pleased about this new group trying to take its water. It was good that Grimm was looking out for a surprise attack - however, not likely that he would be expecting it to come from beneath the water's surface.

The little fish swam through the water, low to the bottom as she casually enjoyed the gentle current. The life of a fish was not often a long or peaceful one, so any moment where there was not a predator trying to yank her out of the water or swallow her whole was a blessing in itself. Of course, this specific aquatic creature was trying to be one of the few to keep surviving - she had no interest in being eaten, and thus trained hard to harness her powers as much as possible. Though, with a body such as hers, there was only so much one could do.

And when she saw the little ones lapping away at her water, she grew furious. They had the audacity, as such young looking children, to stroll up peacefully to the water? The little rat and canine didn't appear to be accompanied by a larger parent - and even then, that specific duo was an odd pairing for sure. As she approached the surface, she noticed the big human standing nearby, with the ghost looking around. She was at a point where she could possibly be spotted, so there was no turning back now.

"Oi! What do ya think you're doing? Who gave you permission to drink out of my river?" She spat up water as her head came above the water to speak, keeping around the center of the river and working her body to not follow the current on. She looked at the four of them, measuring them up and determining if this was a fight she should really be picking. "You don't see me coming and taking pieces of your home, now do ya? So get out of my water!"

Ivan

Before Ivan could reach down and scoop up some water, he noticed the tiny fish, poking its head out of the stream. Electrike watched playfully. She wanted to go after the fish but the thing looked tough and it probably wasn’t a good idea. Rattata jumped back, hissing at the wishiwashi. Naturally she wasn’t so scared of fish but this one was bold and that worried her. It was possibly strong enough to take them out with a strong enough jet of water.

Grimm wasn’t so intimidated by the fish but wasn’t an idiot. He made sure he was out of attacking range of the wishiwashi as he floated backwards. This was probably going to be an interesting situation since the group really needed some water. The ghost wondered how this human would handle this. It could lead to a painful battle on his end and the duskull couldn’t wait for a good laugh.

Ivan let out a deep sigh. He wasn’t in the mood for being killed by a fish. It wasn’t how he imagined his death. His pokemon were pretty inexperienced as well so he didn’t believe their combined strength could handle this wishiwashi. The tall man bend down with his hands up, to let the wishiwashi know he wanted no trouble with it. Being closer to the electrike, he petted her on the head. The man could tell the young wolf wanted to leap out at the fish but hoped she was smart enough not to.

Chances were he was going to grab her and run. The man knew that the others would follow. At least he knew the rattata would. He could never predict what Grimm would do. Before he could grab the electrike, the green pup took a step forward, wagging her tail. “Please, miss, we would just like a drink and we’ll be on our way. No one is here to harm you. If you don’t want us here, I’ll make sure my human and friends leave,” electrike barked. She didn’t actually know what Ivan’s intentions were. It wasn’t like he showed much experience in fishing.

Electrike only said what she thought would allow them to get their sips of water and live. It was true she didn’t want any trouble but could tell they were dangerously close to getting it. Ivan could see the wolf communicating with the fish. He wasn’t exactly sure how the wishiwashi spoke but it must have said something to them because electrike was replying. The man hoped things worked out.

@Shasyu

The little fish studied the group, listening intently to the electrike's words as it pleaded for permission to drink from the water. Was that so hard? That was really all she was asking from them - asking before stealing precious water from her home. She wasn't unreasonable! She knew that pokemon and humans taking drinks from her water wouldn't deplete her home. But it was her home, and without permission they were intruders and thieves. "See now, was that so hard? You should start using those manners from the beginning when you stroll up to others' homes."

Weighing the decision, the wishiwashi paused a moment before giving an answer. They had rudely moved in, and most of them weren't even answering her question. Only the little electric type was speaking to her. Perhaps it was the leader? Or an ambassador of sorts? Either way, the little dog seemed earnest in request, so the fish supposed it was okay to allow them to drink from here. "Yes, okay. You and your companions have my permission to drink from here. But don't go crazy and start scooping buckets of my water out!

Dipping below the surface, it seemed the fish was done interacting with them for now, and the group would be free. If Ivan pulled out a container to try and fill water, the fish would rush out towards the container the instant it touched water, attempting to get it out of his hands. Assuming he didn't, it would rest at the bottom of the river, keeping an eye on them but otherwise not acting up any further. True to her word, she'd allow them to peacefully get water, now that permission was granted.

Ivan

Grimm wasn’t particularly happy that the fish didn’t attack the pup. It would have been hilarious to see the little green wolf be knocked back. Unfortunately it was being diplomatic and that was extremely boring. The ghost’s attention drifted off as the electrike seemed to be making friends with the fish. Whatever, he’d just wait for something interesting to happen.

The green wolf wagged her tail, happily. She was glad to find that the wishiwashi actually heard her plea. “Thank you so much!” she barked” the wolf turned to the others giving them a nod of approval. She didn’t know if Ivan would understand her but she figured she’d try to let him know. The wolf walked over to the man, keeping her upbeat attitude, nudging his leg.

Ivan looked down with a curious brow, unsure of what the electrike was trying to communicate. He watched as she spun in circles playfully. The pup tried to lead him to the edge of the stream, where she’d happily take a drink. He figured this meant that the green wolf was successful and that it was okay for the rest of them to follow her lead. Ivan was honestly proud of the pup. Despite her youth, she showed intelligence and bravery.

Stepping up to the stream, he kneeled down along with the rattata crawling up by his side. The man reached down as the electrike took a few licks of water. Petting her head, he smirked. “Good girl,” he cooed. She only took a moment to look up at him gleefully, with her tongue hanging out, before returning her full focus on drinking.

The demon rat inched over to the water and leaned down, cautiously to take a few sips of her own. She kept eyes on the blue and white fish, not knowing if it would change its mind or decide they had enough. She was so parched and had to take advantage of this moment while she could. She kept repeating the words ‘please don’t kill us,’ as she hydrated herself.

While his pokemon had their drink, Ivan figured it was a good idea to take his own. The fish made him too nervous to make any attempts at taking any huge scoops. He had to keep his eye on the wishiwashi as well, in case he needed to grab his pokemon and flee. He naturally didn’t fear wild pokemon but he was feeding off the rattata’s fears and she was extremely nervous about this whole thing.

Ivan reached one hand down, cupping some water in his palm. He sipped the water as his gaze never left the fish. Part of him considered attempting to catch the water type as a meal but a wrong move could lead to a heavy amount of damage to his team. Mostly he was concerned for his own well-being. These were the reasons why he had to train his team a bit more before taking on such bold moves. After a few sips, he gathered his team and pressed forward, If the wishiwashi allowed to to do so.

@Shasyu

Though the wishiwashi, swimming to keep in place absently as the current flowed down, was amicable to their getting hydrated, it wasn't the only creature hiding in the water. Having masked itself in the mud below the water's surface, a little bug popped a small head out at the disturbance in the water caused by the human's hands. The tongues the creature had been used to, but the vibrations caused by the human were something new for sure. So of course he needed to investigate it.

Popping out of his hiding spot, he moved his legs to push through the water to the surface, his head poking out of the top of the water, the signature bubble enveloping its head in between the thin greenish-yellow spikes. He moved towards the waters edge, thought a bit further off from the group so as to not be grabbed or anything. Unfortunately, when he made if to shore with a tussled mound of dirt to climb onto, he quickly discovered that he'd picked the wrong spot to step on. As his little feet skittered onto the mound, it was a couple seconds before static electricity lit up, the bug being delivered a small shock.

As that happened, the mound started to move, revealing that there was a pokemon resting beneath in - or perhaps hiding was better, from the expression and snickering of victory after shocking the bug. The thin, flat pokemon shook off both the dirt and the bug, the dewpider simply falling and rolling off, its bubble barely staying intact. Though the stunfisk lacked any electric type moves, it had been lucky enough to be born with such an ability that could shock and paralyze others on contact. It turned and looked around, now seeing that there was a small group collected nearby. It had heard some muffled noises, but waited until something stepped on it so it could prank them with a shock. Now, it was free to look around.

A smaller, more nimble bug had been disturbed by the racket nearby as well. Though it didn't make itself especially known, not wanting to draw too much attention before being able to actually see what was going on. The little yellow bug kept her wings flat for the moment, simply walking through the thick grasses towards the commotion. It stepped out as the grass thinned out for the edge of the water, granting a small opportunity that it could be seen. Quickly it stepped back into the cover of the grass, having seen that there were more pokemon then it cared to mess with - and, as if to make matters worse, a human as well.

Ivan

After taking a drink, Ivan stood away from the stream. His pokemon were backing up as well, under the impression they should stop. The electrike and rattata hurried back to their trainer’s side. The rodent seeming as if she wanted to climb up his leg. The wolf however was wagging her tail appearing as if she was ready to get moving.

It wasn’t long after that a strange mound revealed itself. Popping out of the water, the ball of mud began to flee the scene, seeming as if it was afraid of the trainer and his pokemon. Grimm watched it get as far as it could before it was suddenly shocked by an unknown source. The ghost couldn’t help but laugh at the blob being zapped. The shock revealed that the muddy mound was a bug.

This reveal caught Ivan’s attention. The man began to approach the bug as he watched it vibrate with static. “What do we have here?” he spoke to himself. Electrike and rattata followed after him as he walked up to the strange bug. Ivan wondered what could have done this to the bug, but it wasn’t until he looked closer that he saw the flat brown creature camouflage in the mud. Was it a fish? It surely looked like one. This weird looking fish was young and probably not very useful, but it surely gave the group a good laugh.

Electrike was intrigued by the stunfisk. She sure was hungry and this fish didn’t seem to be very strong. Perhaps she could have herself a snack and possibly share with rattata. That was if she was interested as well. The pup bared her fangs, prepared to grab hold of the stunfisk. Whatever shocking trick it did to the bug wasn’t going to work on her. The electrike charged toward the stunfisk and tackled it head on. It was probably a good idea to weaken it before shredding it to bits.

Ivan smiled as he watched his pup go for the strange fish-like pokemon. "Good girl," he cooed.

The rattata didn’t seem interested in fighting it but would stand by in case anything attacked. Grimm was taking notice of another pokemon creeping nearby. The ghost eyed the smaller yellow bug. It didn’t seem like she was plotting on them but the ghost felt the need to give her a terrifying glare. Scaring weak creatures away was always fun.

Electrike used Tackle on Stunfisk.

@Shasyu

Electric running through his body, the little bug laid on the ground, occassionally twitching as he tried to move. Even though it had been a few seconds since the static shock he'd received from stepping in the wrong place at the wrong time, the bug was still there. He tried again to move his feet, to no avail. His nerves tightened up from the static, and froze up. He wasn't able to move at the moment, so he had literally no choice but to simply wait until he was able to break through the condition, hoping to jump back into the water and wash down the stream, away from this huge group.

Though it was clear they weren't on the same sides as the pup started sprinting towards the two of them. The helpless pokemon was worried for a second, being such easy prey for the creature to attack. After all, he was literally stuck lying on the ground with no way to get up, and no allies around to help him up. So what could he possibly do to avoid the attack? But, as the pup dived into the flat fish on the ground with the tackle attack, the bug was relieved, still waiting on the paralysis to wear down enough for him to move.

The target was much the opposite, being very distressed that he'd been attacked. He felt so... attacked! It was a prank, a harmless zap, nothing worth pain and retaliation, right? He thought so, but apparently his fellow electric-type didn't feel the same way. Was this thing friends with the bug? Where had it even come from? The stunfisk hadn't really been paying attention to his surroundings, having a narrow-minded focus as he was waiting on something to step on him to shock. It was a tradition among his kind, and a really fun one at that. They just didn't understand, apparently!

He flailed out his body from underneath the electrike, completely unhappy with this current arrangement. He needed to get the furry creature off of him so that he could run away or whatever. The thin tail of the pokemon curved and just into the ground, curving into the mud to pull up a chuck of it. With the creature so close, aiming certainly wouldn't be hard. It used its tail to throw the chunk of mud into the dog's face, trying to smack it hard enough to get it to move further away and give him some space.

The actual fish was... less than invested in the fight that was breaking out on the shore. The water was her territory, not anything past the water. What happened on land was of no concern to her, so long as it didn't affect her water. As long as they kept their dumb fight out of her stream, there was no reason for her to get involved in this skirmish. She kept an eye on them watching and just making sure they don't bother her water in any way. If they did, she would do everything in her power to protect her territory.

Off in the grass, the little fairy became keenly aware of being watched. The duskull was trying to glare at her. It seemed menacing, and evil, that red eye staring at her. But all it really did was infuriate her - did she give him permission to gave upon her beauty? No? SHE DID NOT! Her wings fluttered, causing her to rise above the grasses, staring back at the ghost. "I don't believe I gave you permission to look at me, DID I? YOU MUST BE PUNISHED!" The bug squeaked out the sounds, her wings fluttering more intensely as a fairy wind pulled together and raged towards the duskull.

Ivan

Not having to deal with the wishiwashi any long and the dewpider being no threat, Ivan and his pokemon completely ignored them. The stunfisk was mostly shocked by the attack from the green pup. It seemed to be comfortable upsetting others but did not want to be harmed itself. As did most creatures but this one in particular had made itself visible and now it was paying for it.

Realizing her attack wasn’t enough to take down the flat fish so easily, electrike decided another strike would possibly do the trick. She charged in for another tackle. Whether the attack harmed the stunfisk or not, she wasn’t expecting the mud from its tail to fling upward, slapping her in the face. She whined and howled as she backed up toward Ivan, unable to see anything. The tall human rolled his eyes at the young wolf, as he kneeled down to wiped away what he could with his scarf. He’d help wash her face off with water but the blue fish didn’t seem to want them to go near the stream.

“Calm yourself, little one,” Ivan spoke to the electrike. She only whimpered as he cleaned her face.

Rattata and Grimm couldn’t help but giggle to one another at the puppy’s cries. She was so foolish, she had it coming. Though, the demon rat was hungry as well and the mudfish could be pretty tasty. She only worried about getting shocked as well. The demon stayed back for now until there was something she could do.

Seeming to have offended the tiny yellow insect, grimm watched as it appeared to be coming for him. Just great, now he had to deal with this little bug while he was trying to watch the pup screw up. The ghost supposed this could be a bit of fun for him while the others were distracted. As he floated toward the cutiefly who was looking back at him angrily, the bug fluttered her wings, sending a wind that pushed through him.

Grimm couldn’t help but feel some odd power coming from the wind. It annoyed him that the tiny insect was able to harm him. He couldn’t allow it to happen again. The duskull glared with his glowing red eye pushing onto the cutiefly an inability to use her fairy wind again. “Sorry, no magic from you today,” he cackled.

Noticing the confrontation with the little bug, rattata turned her head to face the cutiefly. She wasn’t exactly happy to see a fairy, let alone a bug-fairy! That was like twice as deadly toward her kind. She had to help get rid of it before it did any more damage. This was something she could fight. The demon charged toward the cutiefly hoping to use its own attack against it first. Then she’d follow up with a tackle.

Finally feeling like she could see somewhat, the pup pulled away from Ivan. He did what he could and she was persistent about getting this meal. Ivan didn’t like the way things were going for his pokemon. Perhaps it was better to step in and guide them. He kneeled down with his electrike and directed her toward the cutiefly. “That one,” he commanded. The pup wasn’t sure what to do but she figured attacking the bug was what he wanted. She really wanted to go for the fish but perhaps the human knew better. Electrike dashed toward the cutiefly hoping to paralyze it with some of her own static electricity.

If the other two flesh bags were going to fight the insect then perhaps it was best for Grimm to just deal with the stunfisk. It wasn’t like he couldn’t kill it quickly. As long as the ghost didn’t try to touch the stunfisk. He just wanted to kill anything at this point. The ghost generated a dark energy as his red eye faded. The dark glow burst from his body, toward the mud-fish. Ivan grinned, happily as he watched his pokemon work in strategy.

Electrike used Tackle on Stunfisk. Used Thunder Wave on Cutiefly.

Rattata Used Me First and Tackle on Cutiefly.

Duskull used Disable on cutiefly. Used Dark Pulse on Stunfisk.
