Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

One of the clearings he cleared out for wood was a perfect place for Alfonse to sprawl out under the warm sun, a rare day where he didn't have any commissions or errands to run. So, he packed a small bag of his berry bread, a skein of water, and some bark for Rune to nibble on. After some careful consideration, he left his Pokeballs behind and instead only brought Rune's.

The Skiddo was sprawled out next to him, dozing peacefully with her head slightly on top of Alfonse's ankle. Light brown eyes warmed slightly as he eyed the Pokemon, digging through his pack and tearing a piece of his bread in half. Taking a bite of it, he sat up and eyed the forest around him.

There had to be something interesting around here. Like another person or something.

Taking a stroll through the woods, Victor wasn’t so worried about any strange pokemon that may pop up and attack. Ghost was in her ball and he felt comfortable enough with the younger pokemon to keep them out. It wasn’t like they had pokeballs anyway.

The auburn haired trainer didn't really have the money to purchase any. Sure he had some specialty balls but he didn’t want to waste their benefits on pokemon he already had. Anyway, it was probably better to use this as a reason to bond with these younger pokemon. The older ones mostly hogged the attention.

Sitting on his trainer’s shoulder’s was the budew known as Wisp. As usual, he was keeping look out. Always watching Victor’s back in case anything tried to sneak up on them. Sure, the corsola sitting in his backpack could see just fine, but Nereid wasn’t exactly wary of strangers or predators. She just assumed most people or pokemon were potential friends.

So young and naive where Pixie, who Victor held in his hands was the opposite. The bounsweet had been through enough life and death situations to fear anyone who came her way. Victor was honestly impressed that she was getting used to him. It helped that she formed a bond with Wisp who really trusted the trainer.

Thinking he heard something, Wisp nudged his trainer. Victor turned his head immediately to see what the little seedling wanted. “Everything alright, buddy?” he asked.

Wisp pointed his buds toward the clearing up ahead. Typically it was better to be in one, because things hid in the trees. Victor wasn’t entirely sure if the seedling was warning him or asking to take a rest in the sun. Feeling Pixie in his arms, shaking, it figured it was a warning. He wanted to trust his pokemon but he also was curious about what was out there.

“We’ll just check it out and if it’s nothing we’ll head back,” said Victor, petting the bounsweet on the head. The trained slowly stepped out into the clearing as he scanned the area. There was another human. A man probably about Victor’s age but with long golden hair and a green cloak. The man was relaxing in the sun, which was kind of strange to see anyone doing in the forest. He didn’t have any unique clothing as most immigrants did, so he was likely a native. Who knew really?

Victor and his pokemon watched curiously. Wisp and Pixie were more concerned with the pokemon that seemed to be lying with the man. A brown and green goat with a leaf-like coat? It appeared very young. The goat wasn’t something Victor was familiar with. He was extremely anxious to know about it and he figures it couldn’t hurt to approach the trainer and ask about the goat.

The man stepped out from observing and made himself known to the stranger. “Nothing like taking a vacation in a dangerous forest, aye?”

Despite being scrawled out on the forest floor, the young Skiddo found her ears pricking up, her dark eyes flicking about in alarm. The goat scrambled to her hooves in a flying panic, catching the attention of the blonde laying on the ground. "Hey, hey," he soothed in a low voice, sitting up and placing his hand on the back of her neck. Rune flinched under his hand, twisting her head around to glare at him.

The blonde stifled the urge to laugh at the goat, instead his eyes twinkling in amusement as he patted her head gently. Turning his face towards where she was looking, he bent his head to ear level and murmured, "What do you smell, Rune?" Slowly getting to his knees, the woodcrafter scanned the trees with an alert, if not wary gaze.

Alfonse knew that the woods were dangerous. Extremely so. However, if he came upon something he knew that he couldn't handle, he would call Rune into her ball and run for his house. In fact, as he scanned the trees from his position, he could see it from where he was sitting. Kind of. Not really. There was a faint outline in the trees that hinted to his own living space.

He blinked in surprise when he saw a young man push through the brush, a pair of bright blue eyes staring at him from behind a mess of dark brown hair. He tilted his head slightly, wondering if it was just him that saw the dark red in it. Alfonse shrugged mildly, bouncing to his feet and stifling a brief snort as the man spoke. "Nothing like taking a vacation in a dangerous forest, aye?"

He couldn't help but note with a rather put-out expression that the man was taller than him by nearly a foot. "Why am I so short?" he muttered under his breath, jumping slightly when a snarl ripped out of the leaf-backed goat beside him. "What I don't understand is why you two-leggers like to flock together." Rune complained bitterly, though she snorted slightly and pawed at Alfonse's pack.

She aimed a hopeful look up at him with her dark eyes, purposefully widening them as he eyed her sternly. "No, Rune," he sighed in exasperation, picking up his pack and shouldering the object. "You're not getting your snack early."

Victor wasn't exactly sure if the other trainer was really interested in conversation. Perhaps he just wanted to be left alone. The goat pokemon he had beside him didn't seem to want to be bothered as well. Victor just raised a brow at the blonde stranger as he seemed to mutter something to himself. Though from the trainer's distance, it was inaudible.

"You from around here?" Victor called out. Once again trying to speak to the other man. "Haven't seen your face around Ashfield," he continued. Not that he really noticed any peoples faces around the city but he was just trying to build some kind of dialogue. It was extremely odd to the trainer to just run into a random person while trekking through the forest.

It was best for him to be aware of the blonde's activities out here all alone with a single pokemon. Though Victor wasn't entirely sure that he only possessed one. His pokemon watched curiously at the goat. Wisp and Pixie were a little in awe at the larger grass type. Neither were used to seeing a more animal like plant pokemon.

The bounsweet wasn't exactly interested in getting close enough to observe. What if her sweet smell gave the goat the urge to chomp her to bits? Not that she believed the budew would allow that to happen but for all she knew they could both be obliterated into the jaws of the skiddo.
