Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

The bright daylight almost burned Dawn's gaze as she stared out into the town. She looked both intimidating and ridiculous, standing in a hunting stance on top of a mud-brick building. Her hands and feet sat upon the edges of the building, but didn't seem like they'd accidentally let her collapse onto the ground.

Her bidoof merely clung onto his trainer's hair with his paws, holding on for dear life. Although the chances of him falling to the ground if he let go were slim, he was still slightly terrified. Dawn could tell that by his light shaking. To be fair, the distance from the ground was a little ways up. A runt like him would probably get injured if he fell. After that thought, she decided to stand up and back away from the edge.

She looked up to the sky. Still nothing. How was she going to be able to teach Kid how to hunt if there were no damn birds? She'd take him into the woods for some training, but those things could kill him! She wasn't letting this baby die to some creepy luxios or beedrills!

Her train of thought was quickly derailed as a hovering shadow flew over the duo's heads. A grin spread across her face. Perfect! She looked over to the shadow, and soon noted it to be a pikipek. The bird softly landed on the ground, and pecked at the dirt.

Dawn glanced over her shoulder to the bidoof that still held on to her hair. "Okay, you ready, Kid?" She asked, adding a large smile of encouragement. The small rodent seemed heavily confused, but nodded. The woman gave a little thumbs up. "Okay, now come on."

Reaching for the back of her head, she gently grabbed the bidoof and brought him in front of her. Dawn glanced over to the side of the building, and tightened her little carrying hug around her partner. Now taking a running headstart, the woman bolted off the roof of the building and jumped down to the ground. Her feet slammed harshly against the dirt, and they quickly started to ache.

Eh, at least they weren't broken. She hissed for a second at the sudden pain, but didn't hesitate to start wandering towards the pikipek. Quickly, she set down Kid, and pointed to the bird. "Okay, go get'em, Kid. I believe in you."

The little bidoof let out a little squeak and flashed a small smile with his buck teeth. Dawn grinned in response. Kid then turned, and started to stumble towards the pikipek. The woman watched in desperation as the little rodent started to lightly bump the bird with his head. She chuckled at first, but then started to regret her whole existence as the bird started to peck at him.

She almost thanked Arceus as she watched Kid try to run from the creature... Except he didn't run to her. Instead, the bidoof took a turn and started running further into the town, with the pikipek pursuing. "Wait, fuck! Hey, get your gross feathers away from him!" Dawn shouted, running and stumbling after the two. Her feet still ached with each step, but she honestly didn't give a shit.

Today was a criminally bright day outside. Flash reasoned it was because they were about to leave Spring behind and welcome Summer. Personally, he was glad for it. It should be a good season for hauling in plenty of fish from the ocean. Personally, he was looking forward to seeing Summer in full swing. Summer was a season that personally... Flash preferred for a great number of reasons. Summer could get a little too hot sometimes, but he felt that it was less likely than freezing in the dead of Winter.

He was walking beside the newly named Heather, his newfound Doduo. His parents advised him to spend time with his new pokemon face to face, at least in the beginning to bond with the bird. They said that developing an honest friendship with Heather would eventually inspire loyalty, making their partnership stronger. Minnow had sniped that it would be best if his pokemon actually liked him enough to prevent him from being mauled. Flash did not really appreciate the constant repetition of his past incidents that gave him his scars. It was in the past now, and he would prefer if it stayed that way.

Flash was simply walking with Heather beside him, who was looking around at the village. Flash supposed it was probably because Heather wasn't used to humans and... Other human things and it was all new. Though, he wondered what exactly Heather thought of it. Then suddenly a rodent pokemon ran by, pursued by a small bird that fly, unlike Heather. Then pursued by some girl who... He squinted and assumed that the girl owned the rodent that was being attacked by the bird. He crossed his arms, and Heather chirped out, sounding vaguely confused. His eyes were trained on the girl for some odd reason.

After thinking for a moment, he groaned. "We should probably help." He muttered to Heather, and ran after the girl, bird, and rodent, with Heather in close pursuit.

The bright daylight was starting to take it's toll of Dawn as the three beings ran through the town. The heat burned into her skin, and she felt like she was baking in a fire. Goddamnit, Summer was almost here, wasn't it? While Dawn enjoyed the new life and green trees to hide in, she had a little dislike for the heat... And by little she meant a complete fucking hatred.

Like, at least she could warm up in the Winter?? In this weather, or any other time, she refused to go into the water, so cooling down wasn't in option. Thus, she was stuck sweating buckets like she was now.

Dawn's feet skidded in the dirt as the group made a turn, and the woman came close to almost collapsing. Ugh, stupid feet. Stupid heat. Stupid everything, while we're at it! The woman cursed under her breath as she continued running.

Finally, Kid stopped running and just settled with curling up into a ball. The pikipek let out some squawks as it tried further to peck the small baby. Dawn bared her teeth and quickly approached the duo. Upon spotting the angry enemy, the little bird finally realized it was time to get going. Before it could fly away, though, Dawn had already kicked it quite harshly with her shoes. It tumbled to the ground, and let out another squawk as Dawn kicked it further away.

Quickly, the pikipek shrieked and finally managed to flap away. Dawn hissed loudly, and stood over her rodent friend as she called out to the bird. "And don't come back, ya bitch!"

Once it was gone, the woman withdrew her shaking fist. She sighed, and bent down to the curled up bidoof. She quickly wrapped him up in her arms, and stood up. She gently set her forehead on his and murmured a short apology. "Sorry, Kid. You'll get 'em next time, though."

When Dawn looked up, she realized they weren't alone. Another human had seemed to follow them, along with another bird. A fucking weird bird, at that. It had two heads and no wings. What the hell was this thing? Could it even be considered a bird?

She squinted at the two strangers, and raised an eyebrow. Damn, this dude got wrecked. She stared at his visible scars briefly, and blinked. She then glanced over at the scars and marks that were scattered on her. Geez, and she thought she was the one who got mauled easily.

"What's up?" Dawn muttered casually, hugging her bidoof tighter. She kept making glances between the man and his bird. She couldn't tell which looked more screwed up.

During the whole... Chase, they were forced to make a sharp turn. Flash didn't have problems with it, even if he wasn't as swift or agile as his younger siblings who were hunters and probably more accustomed to running around and athletics... He wasn't a slouch either. You couldn't afford to not be fit and capable in this kind of world. Besides, Flash tried to not make himself easy prey for strong predators. Even if some predator pokemon would always be stronger or faster than humans, since that was simply the way of nature. He noticed that the girl was not doing well, having almost completely crumpled to the ground. He guessed she wasn't suited to the heat. Personally, he found heat comforting at best, a little suffocating at worst. But it wasn't all that bad.

Though, it seemed like Flash's assistance wasn't necessary, as he skidded to a stop a short distance away. The bird seemed ready to flee, as the girl seemed extremely irate. Whether that was her natural state, because she was hot, or because her pokemon was in danger. He imagined it was all three, as she kicked the bird even as it was fleeing. It appeared to be a rather angry, vindictive action, and Flash found himself disapproving. He felt the point driven home as the girl angrily yelled after the bird, who would surely only understand the aggressive tone.

Flash watched as the girl murmured to the rodent, his feet slowly taking himself forward. Did this girl expect the young pokemon to have fought off the bird? It didn't seem... Well, he could already tell that the rodent was quite young, and it seemed wholly unprepared to fight anyone, having curled up instead of continuing to run. That, and the fact that rodents weren't normally aggressive sorts he believed unless they felt that they were threatened... Or in the case of mothers, you were threatening their children.

The girl finally noticed Flash and Heather, and seemed to be squinting and... Flash was suddenly reminded of the times that Minnow would simply stare at him before spewing the latest disrespect that always streamed from her mouth. Except, he gathered that this girl lacked the restraint and honor that he knew Minnow possessed. At least, that was his first assumption. Mostly because of the screaming and kicking a fleeing enemy.

Heather tilted a head. He stayed silent, and just watched the girl with all four eyes.

"I noticed your little... Dilemma. I came to see if I could help, but it seems that you handled it." Flash explained, though his voice was a bit serious. Flash could have troubles seeming friendly sometimes, at least Ice always told him he looked a bit too grumpy too often.

From the looks of it, this man wasn't all to thrilled by her. Eh, fair enough. She smirked and eyed the weirdass bird staring at her. Eh... It was both creepy and cute, with it's two fluffy heads. She blinked, and patted her own pokemon. Kid seemed confused at first, but eventually squeaked in approval as she scratched behind his ears.

She looked at the stranger with dull eyes, but her smile still remained wide and proud on her face. His blank expression made her want to laugh. She assumed he was the family grouch... If he had family, that is. Was this dude even a citizen? Hell, she never stopped to remember faces and names. Maybe this was some weird immigrant that she heard stories of? Winter always did mention strange humans appearing from nowhere.

Dawn restrained herself from cackling at the man's voice. Damn, why so serious!? Maybe whatever ripped his throat ripped out his personality, too.

She stopped petting Kid, and gently set him on her shoulder. The little bidoof gazed at the newcomers in interest. He wasn't very used to other humans besides his trainer and her family. He squeaked out a little greeting, which prompted Dawn to chuckle. She lightly scratched the tiny rodent on her shoulder as she began to speak.

"Eh, yeah. Serves that bird right for messing with Kid. But eh... Thanks for thinking to help..? I guess??" Her voice drifted into a tone of awkwardness for a second before she continued. "What's that thing? Don't think I recall seeing it on my hunting trips." Dawn murmured, using her free hand to point boldly at the doduo.

Flash mostly got the feeling that this girl wasn't being too serious with him, now that the target of her ire had flown away. Which, he supposed it was good that she wasn't still mad and trying to punch him instead of the bird. He didn't think that goofy-looking rodent was dangerous, but this girl could have other pokemon. Flash did not think that being inside the village meant he was totally safe, since one time he did end up being attacked by trainer owned pokemon.

Though, honestly he wasn't sure what he thought of someone who switched moods so quickly. He supposed Minnow did do it after a fashion, but.... Still. This was a stranger, and he wasn't sure dealing with a stranger who was like Minnow was something that was a good idea. Seriously, he did not know what would set this lady off and earn him a big fat bruise on his cheek. Which he did not want to have to explain to anyone. Minnow would likely scowl at him, treat his bruise, while lecturing him on why he's a moron. Not his idea of a good time.

Heather bobbed his heads a little. Then chirped out a little question. "(Who are you?)" One of Heather's heads asked the little Bidoof. Heather had seen the child's kind before in the forest, but he'd never spoken to one.

Flash was starting to gather something.... This girl.... Had named her pokemon 'Kid.' Jeez. He was never going to complain about some of Ice's more ridiculous naming tendencies. He was trying his best to not antagonize, so he kept this thought to himself. Then he glanced to Heather, who seemed confused about the situation. Then he looked back at the girl. "He's not a thing." He started. "I call him Heather, and he's a bird pokemon known as Doduo." His father had told him that, since Flash was still getting a hang of learning which pokemon were which. It was difficult to remember, and not always that practical if you asked Flash.

Dawn raised an eyebrow after a short bit. She wondered what the dude was thinking. Probably thought she was a madwoman. Winter usually teased her about how she acted insane a lot of the time. It was a mystery why that woman trusted her with carrying around the baby.

She smirked at the so-called bird, but it briefly faltered as she heard him speak to Kid. Was this thing being nice? He better be, or else there was going to be chicken stew for dinner tonight.

At the man's next words, Dawn subtly rolled her eyes and smiled. Okay, so don't call the walking biological mess a thing, got it. She looked away from the other human for a few seconds to glance over at the bidoof on her shoulder. He seemed mighty confused, and was trying to climb on top of her head. The woman made a clear look of confusion, but assisted the little rodent anyways.

Kid carefully watched the brown pokemon from his new perch. He was interested in what this pokemon was, as he never really remembered seeing it, but didn't want to be too near it. He hadn't been in the forest for a long while now, and couldn't exactly recall what ate what.

... Did this species eat his kind? Oh, he hoped not. He didn't know how to respond to the doduo's question, so he just stayed silent. He clung desperately to stay atop of the human's head.

"... Heather?" Dawn murmured. Why a plant, of all things? Why name the damn creature that resembled nothing like plants after a goddamn plant? Weirdo. She tried to ignore her minor criticism, and continued. "And a bird? Weird. Never seen a bird with two heads and no wings."

After a short bit of helping the bidoof stay on her head and silence, Dawn spoke again. "So... Who are you again?"

Flash felt a slight spark of indignation for Heather when the girl smirked at him. Clearly, this girl didn't think much of Heather. He didn't condone random, senseless violence... But truly, he wondered if it wouldn't be so terrible if Heather gave the girl a little warning peck in the middle of her forehead. However, again, Flash would not actually ask Heather to do that, as that would be petty. He should be above that... Nevertheless, he could fantasize. He figured he was allowed to do that much... Even if Minnow bemoaned and claimed he had no imagination.

Flash did not miss the disrespect glimmering in the girl's face, even if she thought he might not have noticed. Or maybe she did think he noticed, simply didn't care. Both possibilities seemed plausible, and this was far from endearing her to him. Though, again, he didn't think she cared for things like that. She didn't seem to care for anything but.... Her ill-named pokemon Kid.

Heather's question went unanswered. He chirped again, sounding a tiny bit more frustrated. "(I asked you a question. I'd prefer an answer.)" He said, his voice sounded just a tiny bit more sharp. Did this child not understand his words? The child appeared to be just burrowing into the human's hair and ignoring him. He was not fond of this disrespect.

Flash pursed his lips. "The color of his feathers." He stated shortly, not really elaborating further. He didn't think it needed much more explanation, though mostly he was hoping to break off this acquaintanceship soon. He was not really growing fond of this girl, and he figured the opposite was probably true. "... He has wings." He corrected. "They are small and don't stand out much." He thought the two heads made Heather unique. Though, he might be getting a bit defensive.

"Flash. Flash Rain. You may have heard of my family, or my cousin's family, the Doves." He said, his tone still remaining rather short. Privately, he thought you had to be living under a rock to not knowing of either family. There was a lot of them, and it was very likely you knew at least one member of either family. "And, you?"

Dawn sighed, and lifted a hand to balance the rodent on her head. He seemed to be very much confused with all of this. Eh, she didn't blame him. The kid was just attacked by some random bird and here he was forced to face another one... Or at least she was told it was a bird.

Her face fell dull as she stared at the man... Would he show any emotion at all? Man, she felt like she was talking to a damn statue. Was he normally like this? Eh, she'll get some emotion out of him eventually. She'll just have to try harder.

He stated his name to her. Flash... Rain? Man, weird shit parents named their kids these days. At least Dawn and Clover sounded like decent names. She silently thanked her parents for not naming her Fall or something like that.

But surprisingly, she had heard of his family. Despite her debatably hermit-like nature, it was hard not to know the weirdos. Dawn shrugged, and smiled. "Oh, well sorry. My eyesight isn't exactly the best." She murmured, although it seemed a bit half-hearted on the last bit. You had to have good eyes in order to hunt food. Without it, the whole family would starve and then she'd die alone. So yeah, eyesight was good. Admittedly, she felt embarrassed for not noticing the wings now.

"... But yes, my friend speaks about your family occasionally. Though, I'm too busy to really meet any of you guys. I'd like to meet them though, if they're as pretty as you are." Dawn chuckled, a smirk drawing up teasingly. Hopefully he wasn't a complete emotionless blob and actually reacted to the last statement. A slap to the face would even be enough. Honestly, a slap to the face would be real funny right now. It'd be hilarious, actually.

"Anyways, I'm Dawn Windlow. Neighborhood hobo." She introduced herself with a dramatic flip of her long hair. A loud laugh escaped her mouth as she set her hands on her knees. Kid shook, and tried to grab onto his trainer's hair with his tiny paws. Quickly, Dawn paused, and held up her arms to keep the bidoof from falling. "Oops, sorry, buddy."

Kid winced, and looked back over to the doduo. He held onto his perch tighter as the bird pressed his question. He didn't exactly know what to answer, despite it being as easy as saying his name. So, instead of saying anything, the small rodent raised a paw and pointed it to his mouth. He then shook his head lightly. Hopefully the other pokemon would buy that he's mute. He then gave a small sheepish smile.

Flash was pretty sure that this girl was getting bored of him, by the face that her devil-may-care expression slipped into something more blank. Like she'd been expecting him to be more entertaining and was let down. Well, Flash wasn't here to be entertaining. In fact, he only hadn't left yet, because it'd be rude to randomly leave the conversation. Flash liked to believe he had some manners, as he wasn't sure this girl would respect such things. Probably not. She seemed the type.

Flash wasn't sure he quite believed her statement about her eyesight. She didn't sound like she believed it either. It was probably a lie then. Probably to cover up her slip up. Ugh, Flash figured she was the type who fought to defend her last few scraps of pride, because she didn't have a lot of it. Honestly, Flash thought that of course you wouldn't have much pride in yourself if you presented yourself like this girl. She was unrestrained and rude, and not in any endearing or tolerable way.

Flash wondered why she didn't say that she'd heard of them. He wondered if she actually lived under a rock, with a friend being the only true connection to the village. Though, then again... He hadn't really seen this girl around. Which seemed weird, shouldn't he have at least caught a glimpse of her? Shouldn't she have seemed even the slightest bit familiar, instead of a total stranger? He was about to respond when it registered. She was flirting with him. He lifted an eyebrow. "Sorry. But my standards rise above someone I just met." He said flatly. He was halfway sure that the flirtation wasn't even honest, and simply just a different kind of jab. Though, personally.... Now that he thought about it.... Ugh... He wasn't sure he wanted to let his younger siblings deal with this girl.... Particularly not Ice, especially not if he got horrible ideas.

Then the girl had a name. Then introduced herself in a ridiculous way. Ugh, well if she introduced herself like that... Her not knowing of his family personally made a great deal more sense, if she wasn't trying to actually integrate into the village. The dramatic hair flip just caused Flash's stony and unamused eyes to be accompanied by a grimace. Clearly, Dawn had forgotten about Kid atop her head, given how she almost threw him off. He wanted to slam his palm against his forehead, except he didn't think it was acceptable to do it right here... Later however.... He'd be banging his head against the wall for hours.

Heather was beginning to grow frustrated. He narrowed both sets of his eyes, which were trained in on the rodent who was refusing to answer. He seemed to be implying that he wasn't speaking. "(Can't, or won't?)" His chirps becoming shorter and sharper. Somehow, he didn't believe a mute would've survived at all. A child who couldn't cry out to their mother, would yes... Be less likely to be found and killed by predators, but also the mother would struggle to tend to a mute child. A child that couldn't cry if they were hungry or scared, or draw attention to himself so his mother could relocate him..... No. Heather did not believe such a child would survive.

At this point, she shouldn't have been surprised by this guy's flat tone. The woman let out a sigh, and tugged a bit at her hair. This was stupid. She was stupid. Still, her little head forced her to continue on with this. Her smile was engraved on her face, and it showed little signs of fading away.

She sighed again, and the smile was light. A little hint of red on her face appeared. Ah, yes, standards exist. Thank god she didn't come close to anyone's. She didn't like to image someone being attracted to her, anyways. It would get in the way of her daily routine, unless said attracted person was Winter... But she had already gone through trial and error with that.

"Ah, yeah... Thank god..." Dawn murmured, chuckling a bit. "But me too, honestly. I was just messing with you though..." Her smile at this point was semi-forced at this point.

She looked up to Kid, who seemed to be shaking slightly. Her gaze went to the doduo for a second, and she narrowed her eyes. Would it be justified to let Kid bite this thing? In her head, yes. Definitely. But she restrained herself. Mostly because Kid probably wouldn't do it.

Dawn gingerly grabbed the rodent on her head and brought him down in a small carrying hug. After the accident just earlier, she wasn't sure that she could trust herself. While in her arms, Kid fearfully stared at Heather and shook his head. He felt far from comfortable with the avian's tone.

"Anyways... So what do you do, exactly?" Dawn asked. She had begrudgingly accepted that she wouldn't get anywhere with sparking some sort of personality from Flash, so why bother with ridiculousness?

Flash wondered why Dawn was dragging on the conversation, despite her obvious boredom and exasperation with his lack of entertainment value. Since... Well... She was the one carrying the burden of conversation. She kept things going, while Flash provided short responses that lacked any elaboration, and didn't exactly help continue the conversation either. What did she hope to gain? Honestly, Flash couldn't answer that question. Though, he wondered why Dawn continued to smile. Was her smile habit? It was odd how her eyes didn't match her face. He wondered after all the connections he was drawing between Minnow and this girl.

Suddenly he resolved to do his best to stop them from meeting.

Flash wasn't surprised by Dawn simply messing with him, as opposed to any true interest. He was a tad surprised by the honesty. He hadn't imagined she'd admit it. That was a little strange... Or perhaps not quite so strange. Her smile seemed more tense now. Her face made a little more sense now. A little more cohesive.

When Dawn narrowed her eyes, Flash's stony gaze intensified ever so slightly. He did not wish to put ideas into her head, so he held his tongue. However, he hoped Dawn was not planning to threaten Heather. He would not hesitate to defend his partner, no matter how new their partnership was. A bit of honor and loyalty would go a long way.

Flash gently shifted his foot to be slightly closer to Heather. Heather seemed to notice the motion, casting a glance at him with a head, before looking back at Kid who continued to cower away. Heather only scoffed, and finally let up. He resolved to let the cowardly child with no backbone be. This child froze up and burrowed in place ineffectively, and Heather was not impressed by any stretch of the imagination.

".... I am a fisherman. I help bring in fish that is sold at my aunt and uncle's store." Flash answered. He neglected to elaborate on other details, such as the fact that his family were not fishermen like he was. He was a fisherman under a family friend. Briar was a good man, and a good teacher that Flash respected deeply. Though, he was somewhat more easygoing than Flash. The rest of Flash's immediate family were hunters of meat found in the forests as opposed to fishermen.

Dawn's narrowed eyes didn't fail to catch the intensifying gaze from Flash. Did he really think he could scare her with that? Please. She'd steal a kangaskhan baby and taunt the mother before letting herself be fearful of this guy. Her grip around the cowering bidoof tightened.

When her question received its answer, Dawn's gaze immediately snapped from the bird to the man. She didn't start to yell, surprisingly enough. Her smile, however, fell and ceased to return.

She shivered subtly, actually quite uncomfortable with a fisherman being a thing to exist. Her voice rose in volume the further she began to speak. "... So let me get this straight. You look for those Arceus-forsaken beasts for a living? Well, that's one way to earn a fucking death wish."

It was funny how Dawn did the exact same thing on land. She failed to realize it, though. "I swear to god... Why fish, of all things!?" The woman set her face into one of her hands and groaned. People were stupid these days! This is why she didn't like associating with them!

Kid started to wince at his trainer's sudden agitation. He looked up at his in concern, and nudged her with his head. It wasn't enough to make the woman calm down, though. Dawn even began to shake slightly at the thought of the ocean. This left her bidoof in massive confusion, and he glanced over to the two strangers for answers.

Flash noticed Dawn's instant change in demeanor given his profession. He wondered what exactly it was that unsettled her. She didn't seem to hold disdain for his position. Honestly, he wasn't really sure what it was that was bothering Dawn about the fact that he was a fisherman, not unless she told him. He wasn't the type to speculate too much. That was more of something his cousins and siblings would do. He wasn't incapable of it, but he didn't tend to overthink things, like he'd seen Minnow do on occasion.

Though, he did get an answer soon. Dawn seemed deeply unsettled by the idea of fishermen. He huffed. "It wouldn't be smart to not take advantage of a potential food source." He retorted. "We compete with the pokemon that live in the area for food, and we need to feed the village." He said. No one in the village really had the luxury to eat more than they actually needed, and he was sure if an idiot were to do such a thing... They'd be ostracized. That, and dead. A fat, lazy person like that would never survive. "I find that the pokemon on land are just as dangerous as the pokemon in the sea." His eyes seemed to have lost intensity, and he seemed mores exasperated with Dawn's strong overreaction. He figured that Dawn had her reasons for her opinions....

But really, it wasn't a very good opinion. Fish was a source of food that could be taken advantage of. So, there were people who fished like Flash and Briar. Besides, he did not believe that fish were more vile creatures than the ones on land. He didn't believe that any pokemon was... Vile. Perhaps a great deal were dangerous, but treating them like monsters was stretching it. Even demons, his family were extremely wary of them, but still respected them as they respected other pokemon.

Heather was noticing the human feeling beginning to become agitated, and Heather adjusted his stance. He widened his stance and slightly lowered his heads. He was cautious, and ever so slightly concerned the female might become hostile. It appeared to him that the conversation was not as friendly, and he was prepared to defend his newfound partner. He'd rather not lose two partners in a row, so close together.

Dawn rolled her eyes slightly as the man began to speak. She began to tug at her own hair harshly, which was making her bidoof even more confused. She did not seem wary of the stance of the doduo, and even seemed to ignore it.

Potential food source? That was what the forest was for! Not some creepy ocean that was infested with probably gross-tasting killers! Hell, was fish even that good!? She had never tried eating it, even before her fears formed.

God, she wished Winter was here. She'd back her up! Winter always knew what to say, even when she was scolding her! Dawn glanced all around, as if her friend would appear and make everything better.

Kid had managed to get out of the woman's arms, and now fearfully watched her from the ground. She normally wasn't like this, not around him at least.

Dawn made heavily confused gestures with her hands, and further proceeded with pulling at her hair. It was an odd and even slightly painful thing, but it was a habit she never bothered to fix. Her voice constantly shifted from terrifying concerned to flat-out agitated.

"Well, I'm up for feeding people too, but not with fish! Those things kill you, dude! Drag you down 'til you never see the sun again!" She hissed. Her thoughts briefly shifted to her encounter with that tentacruel. Being pulled under the water with no air was terrifying. She was lucky that she didn't end up like Clover.

Those fish were brutal, damn it. Dawn never even found her sister's body. They probably ate her corpse, with how soulless they were. The woman stomped on her own foot at the thought of that.

"... Well at least you can actually run from land pokemon! There are trees and caves to hide in! In the water, you're trapped if you get stuck in the water! Slow and welcoming to those filthy creatures!"

@kira she's going insane help
