Welcome

Our old universe has
fallen into impossible chaos and destruction, but the Legendaries will save us; are saving us; have saved us. Soon many lives and memories will fill this new world, and give it purpose.

Events

Terrene continues to heat
up, both in temperature and in conflict. Beta is asking for spies to infiltrate Omega's camp, while Dentelle simply wants to inquire after the scientist's progress. Later in the season, Beta is hosting his annual crater city tournament, where people can test their Pokemon and their leadership and strategies against one another.

Season

Summer will be here until
September. The heat of summer is here in full force, as well as the accompanying summer thunderstorms. Bug, electric, and fire types all thrive while others wilt under these conditions.

Summer in Forest Beach meant warm days, fishing boats constantly coming and going and anl influx of Pyukumuku washed up by the tides. The strange, blobby pokemon had started showing up a little over a year ago during the winter. At first they hadn't paid them much heed, the blobby little things would wash up but no one considered them a problem. But during the summer, they became one as they became to be more numerous during the warmer months. And the dimwitted little blobs would sit there and starve or bake to death in the sun, attracting flocks of wingull and other predators. So making sure the beaches were clear for fishermen by tossing the Pyukumuku back into the ocean became a quick and easy way for the younger residents to earn some tokens. Some, of course, used the unfortunate blobs as easy targets for some of their younger pokemon to practice some of their battle skills but no one minded. It also ensured that the Pyukumuku didn't die of starvation or dehydration, though it was unlikely that anyone would be terribly upset if the useless little blobs died aside from the fact that the corpses would lie on the beach and attract birds.

Vex, like other young people in the village, had spent his share of early mornings last summer tossing Pyukumuku back out to sea under the supervision on an adult. Today, with his own pokemon to help look after him, he didn't require supervision (though there was almost always someone around just in case) which meant he could wander further than the younger children who didn't have pokemon and needed to stay close to their assigned adult in case some other wild pokemon showed up. So Vex had left the chatter and excited squeals of the younger children and headed further up the beach. He wasn't out here to help the fishermen, not entirely, he was hoping to get in some training with Donut as well.

Donut, for his part, was getting used to the human village and how humans worked. He knew they did things that made no sense to him but they seemed to be important for the humans, like wearing strange pelts to cover their bodies. The humans didn't have fur or feathers or scales to protect them so the extra pelts must serve that purpose. The pelts also gave something for him to cling to when he was riding around on the human and he didn't have to worry about falling off. He could also hide within them if he had to (though his human didn't seem to like that much). But Donut had never been as close to the ocean as this. There was water as far as he could see, even when he glided up as high as he could. There was simply no end to the water. it was constantly moving, like ripples in a pond the water splashed up onto the sand and retreated again.

He'd ventured close to the water with Vex, clinging to the boy's shoulder and peering down as the water lapped around the boy's feet. It seemed like normal water, despite a strange smell that invaded the air around them. He'd dropped down to a dry patch of sand and watched as the water rolled in and out. He scampered back as it drew close to his spot but returned when it seemed like the water wasn't going to touch him. Vex laughed and he looked up at the boy who was still walking in the shallowest part of the water. What had made the boy laugh? Had it been something he'd done? Was the boy laughing at him? He tipped his head and twitched his tail, uncertain as he watched the young human continue to walk. Humans were strange, but this one didn't seem too bad. He was no replacement for a lost sibling, of course, but he enjoyed having a companion to share with all the same. He just hadn't figured out yet where he fit into the human's world.

As Vex continued walking without him, Donut scurried to catch up, staying on the dry sand to avoid getting wet. The Emolga had no idea what they were out here for. The human boy had never ventured this close to the water before. He didn't seem to be gathering it to drink and he wasn't hunting for prey. He was just...walking. The Emolga didn't understand it one bit and chattered to himself about it as he scampered across the sand. "Donut! Come here." The Emolga stopped and looked around, realizing he'd by passed the human who'd stopped and was crouched down on the sand. Donut waited for the water to begin retreating before darting over to Vex and leaping up to cling to the boy's shoulder and avoid the water as it raced back toward them.

"It's just water. It's not going to hurt you." Vex told the Emolga who only squeaked in response, not understanding what the human had said. With a small shake of his head, Vex stood and lifted a strange black blob in his hands. The blob didn't look like much to Donut but he leaned in to sniff at it since it seemed like the boy wanted him to look at it. It didn't smell all that great so it definitely wasn't some sort of weird looking berry, in fact, the thing seemed to be alive! But it didn't seem to be doing much at all. It wiggled a little as Vex poked it with a finger and spewed out some white gunk at the boy who only laughed again.Donute chattered quietly as Vex waded a bit deeper into the water, glancing around at the water that now surrounded them. He could just make out the sand at the bottom and fish that darted here and there to avoid Vex as he moved.

"This one is too little to train with. So we'll throw it back. I'm sure we'll see it again though. Puyukumuku always wash up on the beach in the summer. And every summer we toss them back." Vex knew Donut likely had no clue what he was rambling on and on about but his father had told him that the more he talked to the Emolga, the more he would begin to understand human speech. Donut didn't seem to be listening, he was concentrating on the water all around them, but Vex talked anyway. "Okay, deep enough. Here we go. Bye bye Pyukumuku. I'm sure we'll see you in a couple days." Donut watched in disbelief as the boy lifted the strange black blob in one hand and then threw it as hard as he could. The Pyukumuku flew through the air a short ways before landing in the water with a little plop.
